We always stay here at Townplace when we are in town. Always have a good experience. Our room was super clean and we had everything we needed.

The dollar tree of Marriott I would give zero stars if I could. They gave me room 117 when I lived there smelled like mold and dog started looking around the room and there was bugs and black mold. Enough dog hair to make a dog wig. There breakfast is more dollar store brand grab and go. The hallway has never been cleaned same pile of crumbs for a week

Very dirt, had bugs in the bathroom, no hot water in the shower, no room service on 4 night stay when requested. Not even coffee always available at front office. I don't mind dogs, but they must have had 20 large dogs staying at the hotel this time around.will not be back.

Problems with "housekeeping" because I never saw it, breakfast is a disaster, some items in the room are obsolete, too much noisy and lack of maintenance, definitely was not the best staying experience

They were completely accommodated to handle us and the group that we had in our hotel me and a couple of friends rented out one of their hotels for a weekend in South Padre they were open 24/7 and cated to any of the needs that we had next door is Clayton's bar and grill which from noon to 5: 00 p.m. They hold somewhat of a dance floor open for everyone we absolutely enjoyed being able to wake up and walk right outside and be able to enjoy the party and have fun and then at the end walk right back inside without any fear of getting robbed or something wrong happening or any injuries because of the close location I would absolutely recommend as this hotel to be the one to rent when you stay in South Padre.

Although most Marriott Hotels charge a moderate fee for a pet deposit, TownePlace Suites charge $100, more than twice what other Marriott Hotels charge. Nowhere on the website do they specify this rate. It cost more for the dog to stay at this hotel than 3 humans.

Arrived at 10 pm, parking lot was very dark. There were only a couple of spots left and there was no lights on, dark and scary area. Waited in my car by the entrance to see if the security person would walk me in. After waiting for over 15 minutes and no one came out I canceled and left. The front desk never answered my calls, or replied to my chat through the website. This place has no regard for people's safety. Can't believe it's part of the Marriott label. Wouldn't recommend staying here! Very disappointing.

I have started here many times over the years and it is starting to show wear. Bed was comfy, had a ceiling fan but no breakfast due to COVID. A number of restaurants in walking distance as well as a movie theater. Will stay again.

They seriously need to upgrade their cable, and give u the option for Netflix like other hotels

Friendly and courteous staff. Conscientious of traveler's needs given the COVID-19 pandemic with plentiful bottled water and a decent selection of grab-n-go breakfast items. The rooms are a little on the older side, and the air conditioning has trouble conditioning the bedroom of the suite, even with the between-room fan on. Otherwise, it was a pleasant place to stay while functioning as a COVID-19 responder.

Very helpful staff, clean hotel rooms. Has a kitchen in each room. Love that it is fully stocked with silverware and plates, bowls and such. Very comfortable for the family.

They have issues with Hot water. I checked out and went to another hotel across the street which was better in value and more spacious rooms.
