TownePlace Suites by Marriott Houston Hobby Airport reviews
17Very disappointed. We booked two rooms for a 5 day stay and after day three, we found a roach in our room. We reported it to management and was moved to a different room. Unfortunately, a roach was found in the second room. We spoke to the manager and contacted Marriott’s customer service. The hotel manager was unhelpful and customer service was also unwilling to assist in a meaningful way. Shame on you Marriott. Do not stay at this property.
I booked this hotel due to weather related flight disruptions and needed to nodify the booking. As soon as i arrived, I asked the hotel staff and they allowed me to cancel with ease. I really appreciated their help and concern. Thank you again!
Newer hotel, so everything is fresh and clean. Nice room layout with kitchenette and table. Small snack pantry in the lobby but no restaurant or bar. Great proximity to Hobby Airport.
I have become incredibly disenchanted with the Marriott brand. This hotel is a dump. No one at the front desk. No water for the room. Room barely cleaned and nothing stocked in the kitchen. I think this location is being used as a shelter for homeless and state custody clients. Multiple sheriffs onsite in the lobby just in case. WTAF Marriott? !? !?
No thanks. Noisy rooms so barely any sleep. The breakfast, no options and not very appetizing, not to mention the poor execution. Save your $ to a better deserving place.
Everything was fine, it comes well equipped for long stays. Keurig, microwave, dishwasher, dish soap, bowls, cups, measuring cups, toaster, iron, ironing board, closet shelving, desk, work area. I was impressed, except. When I got out of the shower I noticed something sharp. Freaked me out. And it was comb. The previous guest left behind, which means the room was not thoroughly cleaned.:/
Stayed here, as I was in town for business. For the value and Hobby location, this was a 5 star stay in my book. Loved the room! Great work station, bed was comfy, and bathroom was also solid. Would definitely stay again.
Great room. My daughter didn't want to leave. Breakfast was really good with all the works. I plan on booking for a wedding I'll be attending in March.
I love this hotel. It is near the Hobby airport but is relatively close to most popular locations in Houston. The rooms are very nice and each room has a microwave and refrigerator. The room rates are usually between $95 and $125 which is a great rate for this quality of room in Houston. I stay here about 6 times a year. Please do note that there is a charge for parking which was $7 the last time I stayed. Paying for parking is very common at hotels in Houston.
This hotel was clean but its located on a busy highway and the car noise was so bad we hardly slept. The building also vibrated and made the lamp shades shake, adding even more noise.
We always stay at Marriot. But this one is a FAIL. Hallway smells like dog pee and is also humid and musty. Elevators close while you are still entering. So if you have a party of 2 or more you have to press the open button IMMEDIATELY. So not good for kids. Walls are the most thin I have ever seen and I could clearly hear the next room’s conversations and snoring all night (lovely). Oh! And best part? !? ! THEY DONT WATCH EXPIRATION DATES ON THEIR MILK! We vomited because my husband accidentally had a week old milk. Disgusting.save yourself and try a different location at the very least.
No vent in restroom. Electricity went out for about 1 hour. Rooms were very clean. The only view I witnessed was the Gulf Freeway. Location was great because there were restaurants and convenience store close by.
This place charge $8 a night for parking in their own lot I don't know why and they charge u $20 incidentals FOR EACH NIGHT U ARE THERE! The breakfast is mediocre only milk for the coffee they can charge all the extras but they short u on amenities the hotel is clean but that's about it. It's not worth having to pay 20 for incidentals daily and $8 to park in their u gated unsecure lot.
The hotel is modern, the rooms have a kitchen and are spacious for the price. The bed is comfortable. The breakfast is good, but the cereal they did not have the classic. The only bad thing about the rooms is that you can hear the traffic outside completely.
I paid for my stay and flight in full ahead of time yet I was charged $408.08 by the hotel. When I contacted the hotel, they could not explain why, and told me that I need to contact someone else to fix it. Also, this hotel says that they have suites, but they do not have suites. We had a bedroom with a table and chairs in it. There was not a living and sitting area as described. Also, there was no housekeeping service for the four days we were there, every day we had to go down to the front desk to get towels and any other amenities that we needed, we had to go to get cleaner to clean the tub because once again housekeeping did not visit the room for the four days we were there, every day we called them to come and they never came. Breakfast was replenished every day, and the staff did a great job on that. The people at the front desk were pleasant but not the most helpful. I am waiting on a refund for the overcharge and I am waiting on an adjustment for the initial charge.
Room is somewhat small but nice. Location is great for what I needed. The staff, whether the front desk or house keeping, are very attentive. Hotel is clean and has great amenities.
I had the best customer service experience. I was stuck in New Orleans and wasn’t able to check into the hotel until the next morning the day I should have been checking out. Matthew was so courteous he still allowed me to check in under my original reservation no questions asked. I told him I would be checking out in a few hours and just needed to sleep. He didn’t double charge me. He didn’t know that I had just experienced the worst night of my life. I was so thankful to have made it safely and I was exhausted. I’m so grateful to have had a place to sleep. The room was clean and comfortable. I was so worried about missing my reservation, possibly not having a place to sleep etc but Matthew worked it out and I’m forever grateful.
