I went in with
low expectations because of some of the reviews and the hospital being so small. I dont think there's alot of accountability.
Olga and Annie was super professional to confirm the time and date of my surgery. And They gave proper directions. After The surgery I woke up in the room 1. I was in so much pain, My mom and husband said I was yelling because they took forever before they can give me any pain medication. Darrell pca and Tess RN were laughing so loud at the desk, My room was across from the front desk. It became so unbearable. I am trying to recover and Tess and another nurse and Darrell laughing so laughing. Talking loud. I couldn't rest. The only time Tess check on me is when she have to give me meds. She's had an attitude every time I asked her for something. The trash was so full. I had ask them to help with this. I had ask for water. I can go on and on. Tess should not be a nursing anyone after surgery. Darrell never check on me except to take vitals and then he lie and said he took my vitals but my mom said he never came back and took my vitals when he said he would. The experience taught me that you have to be advocate for your care and family. Because like this staffs Tess and Darrell sure didn't have me in heart.

I want to share my acknowledgement of a few staff members only. Julie the night nurse and princess a tech on the night shift were absolutely amazing and should be recognized for the most quality patient care and thought of the patients needs over and beyond. The morning tech latarshia is also very compassionate to the patient and family members. Those were the only staff that should receive recognition through the hospital for exceptional service.

I’ve been reading these reviews and I feel like I should share my story. This hospital almost killed my father. The anesthesiologists are the worst people for their job. Basically suffocated my dad. Do not come to this hospital! They are even refusing to give us his medical records. This hospital is ridiculous. If anyone here wants to file a class action lawsuit let me know!

I usually do not do this, but I feel I need to since voicing our concerns to the staff hasn’t helped

My mom hasn’t been treated correctly at the hospital! No one was watching her blood pressure, it took my sister saying something when mom’s blood pressure was 188/67 for them to give her any meds. Mom was left unattended in the bathroom numerous times. It took hours to finally give her the first unit of blood. My sister complained about how long it was taking and then suddenly it appeared. Her second unit of blood also took hrs to get to her. My mom’s dr was not made aware of the issues until he visited my mom and she told him along with my sister. I even spoke to the night nurse supervisor last night. She said this is the first she has heard about any of the issues. I was even told that usually they only have a patient over night for observation and that’s it unless there is compilations like with my mom. There’s more that could be said, but this whole experience has been a nightmare.
The nurses are very nice but the level of care my mom has received is horrible. I do understand this hospital is a surgical hospital and used for observation only. Their incompetence could have resulted in serious harm to my mom! Please do not use this so called hospital if you need surgery!

Worst hospital experience and staff ever. I came in for a foot surgery and I felt like I was treated like I’m an object that is dispensable after my surgery the nurses came in while I was still under anesthesia and was rushing me out of the room just to wait 45 minutes because my ride wasn’t in the middle of my recovery and I’m sitting on a hard wheelchair that’s uncomfortable and I’m in excruciating pain, nobody cared or attended to me being and crying out because I was in pain. Then, when I was taken to the car of my ride, the nurse named Warren never gave me no instructions, but just told me that I should make a follow-up appointment with my PCP and never told the person who came and picked me up any aftercare instructions. I brought this to the managers attention and I felt like she was nonchalant and never cared about it and I called back and she was like what do you want me to do about it, so I just feel like I’m just an object that is worth a dollar sign and the nurses here don’t care about me as a patient experience I’ve ever had And would never recommend it to anybody

I had my back surgery yesterday morning. Everyone from the start was very nice and cared about my comfort. They also took their time in explaining everything to me before I went into the OR.
Once in my room the nursing staff have been so nice and willing to help me be more comfortable and also to do my walking, which in itself was an ordeal getting everything unhooked and getting my back brace on.

These ladies were just AWESOME!
On a side note, hospital food is not known to be the greatest. Here is a totally different story. Everything has been extremely good and their staff have been very accommodating to my needs!
After having 12 different surgeries in the past.this once by far has been the best experience.

I had a procedure done here my husband and mother came with me. Once I was taken to the back the Karen in the front desk got really upset because they both got a cup of coffee and she kicked them out. After my sister in law called the hospital to complain she went outside and said you can come inside. This is totally unacceptable I can’t believe they have people like this working in a hospital. Unacceptable!

Just want to say everyone here is very nice and compassionate, they took very good care of my husband during and after surgery. Thank you!

Very nice staff especially Mrs. Mari. Very kind and caring. My whole experience has being great so far.

Drove over an hour to accompany my dad for his procedure and basically got kicked out by the front office lady due to “only 1 visitor per patient in the facility”. Not only I’m not able to see my dad after the surgery but I also wasted my time and gas. Other patients had 2-3 visitors, but the moment that lady saw me walk in with my parents she automatically told me I had to leave. Horrible staffing and protocol.

Showed up after vomiting and experiencing extreme fatigue for almost 3 weeks. Was turned away saying I wasn't an emergency. Ended up being admitted to another hospital right as I went into DIabetic shock where they found I had acute Pancreatitis. Doctor hear brushed us off saying it wasn't urgent but just two hours later i had another doctor telling me I probably wouldn't have made it till morning. This hospital is a joke and care is only for those who are already dead or those who's pockets are lined with cash UPDATE: hospital asked me to reach out so I did figuring they wanted me to change my review. Emailed them 3 months ago and no response. Figures. Consider this your warning. They don't care about normal people needing help

I highly recommend the staff at Towsen Hospital & ER. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and supported during my spinal cord stimulator implant surgery.

The front desk staff greeted me with warmth and kindness, and the nurses, Malarie and Amy, were exceptional. Malarie was kind and informative, and Amy's calming presence and gentle touch made me feel safe and cared for.

Together, they formed an incredible team that provided me with the best possible care. I am eternally grateful for their dedication and compassion.

If you need medical care, I wholeheartedly recommend Towsen Hospital & ER. The staff here are angels in scrubs.

I just want to say they took very good care of my hubby during his back surgery. Literally from Docs to Nurses to dietary staff and everyone was great! Kind, compassionate and attentive. They clearly know what they doing and do it well! Would highly recommend. It didn’t feel like a hospital it felt like family taking care of both of us

Oh my thise morning my husband and I drove to Townsend Memorial on Main to find out we were at the wyong location, he was scheduled to go the Humble office. What a mix up!

Can't say enough about their bedside manner! I have a lot of anxiety and sensory issues and everyone was so kind and fast! I was in and out from my procedure in the time it takes just to get discharged in some other hospitals. 10/10. My husband says the hospital food is very good for hospital food!

I can’t comprehend the logistics of scheduling for injections at this site. When you tell the patient you have an 8: 00 appointment and you’re still sitting in the waiting room 3 hours later is unbelievable! The first time we had a shot here my wife was taken back 45 minutes after the appointment. This time 3 hours. 3 HOURS! I was told they allow an hour and a half to process. I might agree with that except that all our paperwork from the previous trip is on file which means it should be quicker. I would not recommend coming here.

Ray and Jessica were so kind and understanding when I came in with intense pain in my abdomen. The entire time I was here I felt like I was cared for and not belittled. This was my second time here and I will never visit any other ER.

I had surgery here a couple of days ago and I am grateful for the staff here! Mari, Nancy, Lecha, LaTarshia, EJ and Iris. These women took care of me like I’m family. They were patient, so kind and understanding. They genuinely care about their patients. I can’t say enough about them! I pray God’s favor and continued blessings over each of them. Thank you Ladies! I love you all to life!

I was nervous after reading some of these reviews but I had back surgery June 1st and the staff could not have been any better! They were all amazing and treated me with upmost respect! I have a bad shoulder so they listened to my needs and concerns with that and was very helpful! I have no problem going back there! Thank you TMH. Also very clean and also has a little cafe for whoever is waiting on the waiting area.
