Townsend Barbershop, Alamo Heights TX

I pass by this place everyday during the week and the woman that drives this truck is an absolute ***** she has resorted to parking illegally next to a handicap spot because "this is her spot and she could do whatever she wants because she owns this business" absolutely will never spend a time in the how place and I will make sure everyone is aware of this person's poor attitude and entitlement complex. Seriously lady grow up and stop parking illegally or I will personally make it my goal to have your truck towed.

Went in to get my flat top Boogie with fenders cleaned up ended up walking out with a lopsided uneven buzz cut very disappointing didn't feel like he paid attention at all and I still tipped

Sweet is amazing! Been cutting me and my partners hair for some time. She’s easy to talk to and always gives me a great haircut! Great little shop in Alamo heights! Support the neighborhood barber!

SWEET! (That’s her real, God-given name, btw) Sweet has been my barber for nearly 8 years now. She worked at other shops prior, before opening her own, and I found her while she worked for another shop. She was the standout there. She consistently had waiting lines in a shop which struggled for clients (IMO).
I was a person used to self-inflicted buzz cuts, or the occasional barber edge-up. After deciding to grow a little hair, I had no idea what to do with it. Sweet helped me decide on a style, of which I have kept many variations of, for years.
I trust Sweet wholeheartedly, and by extension, her partner Chris. That guy is a Rockstar in the the SA barber scene in and of itself.
2 barbers, 1 shop. If you’re not sure, take a little risk. It worked out for me years ago! I’ve recommended friends and family, too. I’ve never heard 1 complaint.

I picked Townsend based on a hunch and reviews and was not disappointed. Sweet took the time to give me a great haircut that I thought looked great as soon as I walked out, and has kept looking good 3 weeks later. I also got some solid tips for restaurants and entertainment, and had a great time while in the shop. I'll be back for sure.

This place is quite convenient to get professional touch. The prices are also great considering where it’s located and cheaper than any of the other barbershops downtown. I’m happy and impressed each time I get a cut or beard trim.

Chris has been cutting my hair since ‘12. Always goes above and beyond. Every once in awhile I need to go to a nearby “barber” and always leave disappointed and think it wasn’t worth it. Chris is just on another level of barbering. Great music and ambiance.

The new home base for Chris the Barber. Sweet has set up a cool and cozy barbershop. The music and conversation are always on point but most importantly my hair is always perfect when Chris finishes. I love the feeling of a fresh fade and shape up and this place always delivers. Thank you Sweet and Chris for running a dope barbershop that is minutes away from my home.

You can find the legendary Chris the barber at this place. He chopped my mop and changed my life. For guys like me Townsend baber shop washes away your sins, it's like a morality hair cut.
