Played the Oaks course for the first time on 01/04/2024. Played from the gold tees as the pro tee box was closed off. Overall, nice course. Fairways were in good shape, rough was low and tee boxes were flat and in good shape. The greens though are typical Texas greens, absolutely slow. They were rolling at a 9 (Which I confirmed with the head greens keeper after the round) which was painfully slow. The couple times I found the bunkers it felt as if I was hitting out of cat litter. It was easy to get out of, but they need to add more sand. Overall good course, very forgiving. As an 8.5 handicap, I shot an 82. Having played it once, now I know where I can miss. I now see why the pros go low here as it isn't a difficult course. Torrey Pines is much more difficult.

Pretty disappointed with TPC San Antonio. The cost for my wife and I to play was $700 on a Sunday at 11am. At $700 you expect great service and there was none. We sat and waited for someone to load us on a cart for nearly 15min no one came, so we ended up just loading ourselves. Same thing at the end of the round no offer to wipe clubs down or anything. The course was great, but we probably will not be back. We will stick to Horseshoe Bay Resort where they actually care about their golfers.

Can't speak on the course, but the staff responsible booking the tee times were shockingly rude-including the manager.

Son played in an STPGA tournament here. Absolutely fantastic course! We enjoyed ourselves and will be back!

Played the Canyons course on Sunday afternoon 6/11 with my brother in law - Green fees were $325. Nobody likes paying that much for golf, but sometimes you bite the bullet to experience top rated courses. However, this particular outing was far from a pleasant experience. We didn’t have a cart available until 5 minutes before our tee time due to a large tournament hosted that day in which the groups were an hour and a half behind pace. When we finally received a cart, it was filled with empty beer cans, Gatorade bottles, etc. The temp was a scorching 95°+ for the entirety of the round and not a single drop of water or cube of ice was available on the course. No beverage cart either.
My key takeaways: The course is a decent $100-150 course, $325 is laughable. The inability to access drinking water/ice, especially on a hot summer Texas day, was incomprehensible. For the price, I would NOT recommend.

Friendly staff and a huge shout out to Jaime Hurtado at Grille 254. Thanks for the hospitality and a great round on the course.

Just attended our 3rd Valero Texas Open event there this weekend. Loved it as usual! Great event to attend. Volunteers and staff are amazing and so helpful.

It was so organized and I was so impressed with their shuttle service. What ever team was in charge of organizing this for san antonio should take over organizing spurs and other san antonio events. Oh yeah the golf tournament was good too.

The hotel/resort is massive and has stunning views over the hill country, including TPC San Antonio golf course (as pictured from our hotel room). Amenities are awesome and extensive. The workout facilities are great too, probably the best I’ve seen across most Marriott facilities. Would definitely come back during the summer where we could utilize the water park!

My brother was a manager here, a couple ways from my previous neighborhood. Reason why he doesn't work there, he resigned out of pursuit of love. A shame really.was a prodigy rising up through the ranks, started out as a dishwasher and now he's a forklift driver at a nearby Amazon warehouse. But I can tell, in an alternate future, he would've made this place the best around.

Amazing! And a great Military deal! How often can you play a PGA course for $115! Very challenging but just a great expierence all around. I can't wait to go back

5 star experience from top to bottom. I have now hosted 2 large golf groups to stay and play here and have not 1 complaint. Patti Rutherford is above and beyond with communication and attention to detail, she makes playing there with a lot of moving parts very smooth and easy. In addition very welcoming. The course plays very long and tough but the condition each time we’ve played is what stands out the most. The greens are phenomenal. I would highly recommend this course/ experience over anywhere else in South Texas. Thanks for hosting us Patti, we hope to play again soon!

Was really nice. Enjoyed my stay. Only 4 stars because the pillows were so thin I hardly slept the first 2 nights. Asked for a foam pillow and they brought one with a bunch of little pieces of foam that would smash down to less than an inch thick. The Mattress was very firm as well, I like a firm mattress, but these just seemed not very comfortable or what I'm used to at other JW's. I ended up getting an uber into town to buy a pillow.
