Tripolis Mediterranean Grill and Coffee Shop / Tripoli's reviews
16The grape leaves the rice was extremely dry and unpleasant the service just to get a drink order took 7 mins we ordered starters and were told we couldn't order our entree at the same time. 1 starter came out 25 mins later and the hummus took another 10 mins. Over all I wouldn't recommend especially if you are on a lunch break.
Got in, nobody up front to greet and seat you - took a few minutes just to get seated, with open tables.
After seated, took 5 minutes to come back for orders. We wanted to place our whole order together, appetizer and entree, and we were told no, that we couldn't do that and would only take our entree order after our drink and appetizer order. Took approximately 30 minutes just to get our first appetizer order, grape leaves, and another 10 to get our hummus. Once we got our grape leaves, we were then offered to order an entree, at which point we declined. At no point during our 30 minute wait was our server back by our table. The leaves and humus were all dry and not much flavor, raw garlic in the humus, nothing fresh and would bet it was all pre-made/purchased items and small portion for the price.
We thought we'd try a new place, and were very disappointed.
If you want a gyro then this is the place to go. The food options available are awesome.the mint lemonade is great. If you need a coffee then they have a coffee house setting in the next room over. This place does not get the attention it deserves. All meals are made to order and of course the only downfall is it takes longer for meals to be served but it's worth it for a fresh made to order meal
Service is extremely helpful! The red pepper hummus is to die for, same with the rice bowls!
I have been going here for years. Such an awesome place right off base. The only healthy-ish place that's doable for an off base lunch. I love the chicken tikka plate. I am now stationed at Randolph (across town) but I still make time to get out there once a month or so because it's so dang delicious.
The lamb burger was amazing! Taking a bite into it, the melted cheese was stuffed inside and had great flavoring (I love feta). The fries are fresh cut and seasoned. We tried their falafel appetizer and babaganoush, both tasted great. The service was a little slow, but that’s bc we went at the peak of lunch time, all their tables were full, and they had people for to-go as well. Definitely worth the wait though! I have to go back and try their other entrees.
Food was good, server was rude. Took 35 minutes to get our food when we showed up 5 minutes after they opened. Portions are smaller and it’s over priced.
I've loved it since it opened. I love their customer service as well as their delicious drinks and meals.
Gyro Rice Bowl with lamb They came to my work as part of Fooda. I really really look forward to when they come again.
Great food, probably the best Turkish coffee I've had in SA! Little understaffed, but the young lady was very kind and friendly. It was warm in there, but honestly, it kind of lent itself to an authentic feeling atmosphere!
Amazing food and great service. We have visited this restaurant many times and have never had an issue. There are a lot of great options, even for the kids (picky eaters).
Tried a fair share of shawarma wraps here in SA and this was definitely one of my top 10. The flavor and seasoning of the meat left me wanting more and more. Amazing pick for a date night or casual lunch.
I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and it literally tasted like a chicken fajita taco on a pita no Mediterranean flavor whatsoever! I won’t be ordering that here anymore. I honestly feel like it’s so hard to find a place that truly has that authentic flavor. I’ll have to drive to Shisha’s grill even if it’s far away from me
Absolutely, Fantastic! The best Falafels I have ever eaten. The Lamb Kebab was quite tasty along with the rice and potatoes. Took some Baklava home and can't wait to dig into it. Do yourself a favor and Greek Out at Tripoli's.
Food and service was excellent and they have great coffee, very nice clean a hidden gem im glad i found
