True Food Kitchen, Austin TX

Went in for dinner last night with a friend for the first time and had a great experience! Ordered a kimchi fried rice dish and it was excellent. Our server Gracie was also attentive, kind, and funny!

Food was great. We appreciate the Vegan /Gluten Free options on the menu. True Kitchen always has something for everyone - even desserts. Thanks to Meagan for providing friendly service. She helped make our dinner relaxing and enjoyable.

We went to True Food to celebrate friends Birthday. The food is delicious! I had the Lasagna. It was flavorful with fresh spinach.
Our table shared a variety of desserts. All were amazing. The chocolate cake was amazing. Definitely something to share as it's very chocolaty.
Service was wonderful. Not overwhelming like some places but very attentive. We'll be back for sure

True Foods Kitchen could be a 5 star restaurant if not for repeatedly occurring customer service issues. Although True Foods is one of our favorite restaurants in the Austin area. The menu options and food quality are fantastic and the Atmosphere is wonderful. However.
True Foods seems to suffer from chronic, inconsistent service. On several occasions, we've had servers that were either inattentive or arguably rude and during our last visit, in addition to yet another inattentive server, the steak I ordered (medium) was served rare, if not nearly raw. That being said, I notified my server (who was standing behind the bar since I was unable to find her on the floor) and not only was my entire meal replaced, but we also got a very nice visit from the Manager.
I want to reiterate that my wife and I still really enjoy True Foods due to their fantastic menu of healthy and sustainable choices. But their consistently inconsistent service is really starting to put a dent in our perception of this other wise fantastic restaurant.

As someone who has to eat gluten free, I’m always so happy to find a place that offers delicious food within my diet! To add to the experience my server Hanna was very attentive and pleasant. She gave great recommendations. I’ll definitely be back!

The manager on duty named Briana is inconsiderate and needs to learn what customer service is! Better yet, the company should teach her what common courtesy looks likes as a manager. She does NOT represent the True Food Kitchen that I'm accustomed to!

Another wonderful meal at True Food. It was my first time having the sea bass, and I’m so glad I caught it before it moves off the menu for the summer.

Our server, Hanna, was attentive, helpful, and gave thoughtful suggestions. We will definitely request her in the future.

I was in Austin for a conference and came here. It was an all around great experience. The atmosphere was inviting and Hanna, the server, was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food was delicious as well. Next time I am in town I will surely come back!

The food and the atmosphere are always great at True Food. The menu changes a bit with the season so there is often something new to try. I asked our server, Hanna, for recommendations, and she was very helpful. She was very willing and attentive. Thanks Hanna!

Came here with a bachelorette party. AMAZING service. The staff were so thoughtful and kind. The GM Paul stop by our table to congratulate the bride and make us feel welcome. The food was impeccable. The drinks were delicious. Fantastic night.

We absolutely love true food it's a whole experience with fresh food and cocktails excellent service and atmosphere it's not crazy expensive either. It's our top spot for birthday celebrations with my girlfriends.

The food is unique but AMAZING! Maegan was our waitress and helped us pick all of the best things on the menu. She gave great service and made our first time here so welcoming! Will definitely be back!

I had been to this place once or twice before and thought some of their dishes were pretty good. I brought my family there yesterday And was gravely disappointed. Not only did all of the dishes that I got before taste bland and embarrassed my sense of taste in front of my family; The tea I ordered, that I let sit to cool for 10 mins before drinking, BURNT my lip! Why on Earth they would have Water that scalding hot is beyond me. Now I have to go into my high-end job with a burn on my lip and look like a mess because this kitchen doesn't have their buisiness in order. I will never be returning.

Nice and cozy place to get some healthy-organic foods. Came here with some friends and all of us enjoyed it. To drink I got a black coffee which was very good, as well as the Sparkling Apricot Tea that was veeery refreshing. One of my folks ordered the Matcha Horchata which I tried a bit and it was extremely good as well. To eat I got the Korean Noodle Bowl with a double portion of Tofu additionally, the flavor was very good and all the ingredients tasted very fresh. Prices are very accessible. I liked the fact that they offer options for any type of dietary restriction, like vegetarian, vegan, gluten free or even omnivore diet. The service was fast. I will definitely come back to this place.

Enjoyed our vegan dinner and exceptional service from Maegan! We asked her for vegan recs and she was quick to give us suggestions. She was very knowledgeable about what was vegan and everything was delicious. The cookies and ice cream were a delight and it’s our new favorite dessert!

What an incredible experience! My boyfriend and I have been traveling the country and we landed in Austin and decided to grab lunch here. The experience really was above and beyond what we could have ever expect. Firstly, Anais was so welcoming and gave great recommendations for us to consider. (which we ultimately did pick both of her recommendations) I had the ancient grains bowl which had incredible flavor and so much goodness. He had the Korean noodles and was blown away. When we got to talking about our travels around the country, talk began to stir and the staff came together to give us a bunch of recommendations for places to see in Austin. Paul, the General Manager made his way out and sat and talked with us and continued the true welcome to Austin, Texas. We are so incredibly grateful that we were guided to True Food Kitchen for our first dining experience in Austin, and we will definitely be returning! Thank you Paul and Anais! It’s alright, but definitely overpriced.

The matcha horchata is amazing, but it’s $6.5 and you can slurp it down in one sip since it’s 90% ice.

No one should have to pay $6 to add half a chicken strip to their $17 salad. They rely heavily on their sauces for flavor since everything is steamed and flavorless.

Absolutely DO NOT get a panini
