15Amazingly fresh and light fried fish. Not thick and oily like you would expect from an inexpensive place. The menu is huge, going way beyond fish and chips. Lots of condiments at the table and the staff was very friendly. Will be going back soon.
Pleasantly surprised. Impressive amount of selection for such a small space. Cute decors, good customer service, food is nice portion, presentation and taste.
The food was good and I thought it was pretty interesting how a fried seafood place has sushi.
I feel like it was a bit on the pricey side, but overall not too bad.
They ought to repair the road for the drive thru
I like the simple menu.
Real deal! Was hoping that Hush Puppies came with meal, will order separate next time. Shrimp was delicious as was the fish. Definite do over!
Wanted sushi so stopped in because the traffic and construction on Dyer made it crazy to get to Asian Market in other side of Dyer. That being said, the male staff were not very friendly and did not know what masago or tobiko were (REALLY? !) So we settled for two rolls without either. That was $32 before tip. We got it to go (we were asked to move several times because they were mopping, we had thought they were closed when we walked in as all of the chairs were up on the tables) they were hanging things up and decorating. The sign insisted that face masks were mandatory, although none of the employees had them on. The guy who made our sushi pulled up his bandana when he made our sushi, although the guy standing next to him talking and laughing with him, wore nothing.we are not even sure we got what we ordered, lol.one rool had huge pieces of mainly rice wrapped in some pink "paper textured fish (?), it was not good. We had a few pieces of chopped up ginger like 4 or 5 slivers (yes, slivers, not the whole pieces you typically get). The other roll smelled incredibly fishy, we believe it is because they sprinkled some seaweed flakes into the rice (?) The ginger slivers and tiny container of eel sauce drown out the fishiness.more than likely would not ever eat there again. It was definitely not worth the $38 we spent for two subpar sushi rolls with no masago, no tabiko, ginger slivers, packaged salt sauce, I meant soy sauce, and just barely enough eel sauce to get through one and a half rolls.
The food was excellent. We had the Fish Combo. The fish was well dressed and melted in your mouth.
As dessert we had fried Ice Cream. You have to try it.
Excellent Food. I had the Calamari and Chips Combo platter and it was surprisingly awesome. Also had the dragon roll and that delicious. Spend your money here!
Sushi was good, but not a lot of variety. Fish and chips - cod was great with malted vinegar and salt, but the fries left you wanting a bit. The tartar sauce was really good.
Excellent food and service, all freshly made. Not just the best in town but among the best I've ever had.
Everything except the cole slaw is fried here. Clams? Fried Catfish? Breaded in cornmeal and fried. Hush puppies? Fried. Cod? Gently steamed. No, not really, the cod is fried too. I mean, it's good if you're in the mood for an entirely fried meal, as everything is well-fried in hot oil so it tastes fresh and fried in hot oil, but if you want anything steamed or sauteed and not golden-fried until crunchy, best of luck ti you.
I have only three words to say: Fresh Fried Fish! Did I mention they also have sushi and other tasty seafood items on their menu.
The catfish and chips are delicious and the portions are generous. The restaurant is clean and the service is great. I'm looking forward to trying the different varieties on the menu. I highly recommend this place for some great catfish.
Wonderful staff and delicious food, the customers are usually older and snooty so I’d recommend getting takeout but other than the customers, the food and staff themselves are wonderful ️ I recommend the kampai roll
Nice fish and chips place. Plus more. You can get fried calamari, scallops, oysters etc shopping with your fried cod and catfish.
