First of all. I understand cancellation policies. However, we were booked for 5 nights and due to an emergency, we had to leave early the morning after we arrived. We were in the spot for less than 12 hours. I emailed the owner (as there is no one on site and unable to reach over phone). They refunded 1 night. A friend in the area drove by that day and my site was already occupied. I don't understand why if they were able to rent it for those nights why they could not provide more of a refund. The only good thing about this park is the location. Site says pet friendly but I had to drive down the road a couple of miles for my dog to go to the bathroom. When I say there were goat head stickers I can not even paint a picture for you. When you walk outside all you hear is "crunch". The entire place is a field of stickers. Even the gravel was full of them. I know they were particularly bad this year but other parks at least make an effort to control them somewhat in a small area for dogs. The bathrooms were dark and dingy. They may have been clean but certainly did not look to be. The only redeeming feature of this park is it's location. On past trips to Marfa we have stayed in Alpine. I was hoping Tumble Inn would be our new "go to place". Unfortunately, the main reason we do not plan to give the park another chance (maybe in a different season) is the lack of consideration/kindness we where shown after driving 9 hours to stay in their park. It was not like we cancelled last minute or did not show. Sorry for the long review (if you made it to the end). I rarely write reviews unless I feel they are important for people to know.

We enjoyed our time here, full hookups, self service, laundry, camp kitchen, showers/bath house. 4 stars only bc of the goat head thorns EVERYWHERE not just the grass. They didn’t bother us but our pups winced every time they had to go out. 5/5 if you’re pet free! I would be careful here if you have pups.

Nice place, very clean restrooms and a nice kitchen for dish washing. We tent camped, so no hookups. The tent camping was just a sandy field by the railroad tracks. Lots of sticker burs. I'm glad they allowed tent camping, though, we enjoyed our stay.

I stayed here about a year ago, and then again about a few weeks ago. They've upgraded their facilities, and bumped their prices up a little. It's still a quaint little self-service sort of park. They have shower and laundry, as well as kitchen facilities. But really nothing else in terms of services.

Tent camped at least a few times, kind of a Marfa ritual for me. I absolutely love this quirky campground. To me it is absolutely perfect.

Great check in system. Does aren't on top of each other. A train runs past early & late but we were able to go back to sleep without a problem. There's a building with a full kitchen and washer dryer available for use. $3 donation for was and dry (we had laundry soap with us, not sure about availability if you don't. Big table inside and out on patio. Clean bathrooms and showers. Would recommend and would stay again.

Okay for a one night stay, but I wouldn't hang out there. Relentless thorny stickers will get in your shoes.

Basic Park. Plus laundry -$3 /load donation requested - Wi-Fi spotty. Laundry & Kitchen area worn and dirty. Available utensils and pots and pans in bad shape and dirty. Laundry & kitchen open to wind and dust. Washer and dryer worked great.

The bathrooms look better in person (vs some pics I saw online). There is an occasional train (didn't bother me) and a little road noise. Goat head thorns were quite abundant. Water, electric and sewer were good. Stayed 1 night in spot 8. Illuminated totems were neat.

Clean campgrounds with great hookups. Somewhat on the honor system. Nice restrooms but lighting is dim in stalls and showers. Fun place close enough to town to be worth it.

I wish there was a zero star, it does not deserve 1 star, this is a horribly run campground, originally when we stayed here it was $15 for a tent site, which is a bit expensive but we paid it, then it doubled in 2018 or so (no idea of the exact date of new management/ownership), we came back a second time only to find out they charge $15 per person, so my wife and I now need to pay double in a years time, the place is very run down, very poor maintenance and upkeep. I highly recommend staying as far away from this place as possible, the management is never onsite, they are very rude and inflexible, no customer service whatsoever, avoid, sleep on the side of the highway, you'll be way better off!

The location is the closest to the Marfa Lights. It was desert like landscape not much greenery but considering the area we are in it was nice. The shower and bathrooms were clean. There is a washer and dryer and it is free to use. They are located in a barn/storage like room. There is also a refrigerator, a table and chairs but if you are sensitive to dust it is not for you to use. We did use the washer and dryer and it did the job, so all was good. We would go there again.

Quiet place. We have stayed here in the past. As advertised. Easy in, easy out. Close to town. Very solid no frills campground. Host was very quick to respond when we had a question.
