Turkish Cafe & Lounge, Plano TX

I’ve been to Istanbul a couple of times and this place took me back with it’s lights, music and food. Highly recommended for anyone who’s looking to have a great time. Bit pricey compared to other places but totally worth every penny.

This is restaurant is the worst place i’ve ever been to in my entire life. First of all everything is WAY overpriced for what your getting. Falafel is undercooked and no taste whatsoever, adana kebab is so salty and you just get one, i couldn’t taste any cheese flavour on the cheese flatbread AT ALL its like i was eating warm bread. Spinach flatbread is the same thing, 0 flavour. 18% gratuity is included in the bill which they don’t tell you, and when it comes to pay they still ask if you want to put a tip. Hummus tastes like straight up powder.the kunafa tasted like vermicelli and had no cheese in it.i wouldn’t go back even i was starving to death. I even went to the bathroom to throw up because it was so bad.

After calling twice and making sure there was no cover or upcharge.the manager came to tell us we had to pay 45 a person for food even if we didn't consume.we gave him the name of the person we spoke to that assured us that we didn't need to eat to be at the venue.the manager actually kicked out.ridiculous.do waste your time and money in this place. Almir in Addison is way better!

I’ve been living in Dallas for a while now. And I can gladly say this is one of the best spots out there. The service and the atmosphere is amazing. On Fridays and Saturdays they have different events here and I’ve attended some of them myself and i’m really glad I did.

I have been to this place multiple times, used to be good delicious food. Today was very bad food didn’t look and taste fresh like before. It’s getting worse and worse. The reason is when I order grilled food should be hot and juicy, it looked like someone didn’t wanted that food hours go and give it to me. Dry and cold grilled food. This is not first time happening to me, I won’t go back to this place again.

Visited Turkish Café to celebrate my friend’s birthday and had the best experience ever. The authenticity in food and top notch customer service combined with the pleasant ambience with the lake view made our visit memorable.

I called to make a reservation for Friday night, I spoke with Mo on the phone and she told me that the menu was a set menu of $45 per person, I asked what if some people don’t want to eat and they only order drinks and a hookah and she said that’s “not a problem, you don’t have to order food”. After I had my final headcount I called back to make the reservation and asked AGAIN about the menu since I knew we were going late at night and some of us were not going to eat, she confirmed that wouldn’t be a problem…so I the made the reservation. The day of the reservation I called again to confirm the reservation since I got a text message asking me to confirm, when I called I asked for the THIRD time if people were required to order food at $45 a person and she again said NO. Once we were there we ordered a hookah and drinks and a guest did order food at $45 from the set menu. After being there for about an hour the manager (I guess) came to tell me that he needed the table bc we were not ordering food and wanted to charge us $45 per person. I explained that I called 3 times and I was told we didn’t have to order food from said menu. He was rude and he was obviously angry! At us! When they gave us, the costumers, the wrong information. Needless to say the place was fairly empty.there were lots of empty tables.there was no line or other costumers waiting for a table. Not very smart to ask costumers to leave when we were buying expensive drinks on what seems to be a very slow night for them. Belly dancer danced for about 30 minutes and the $45 food that was ordered was nothing special. The worst part was the lack of accountability on their part, it was my mothers birthday and it was very distasteful the way we were treated! -Luisa T

Extremely lively environment with place full of entertaining people. Did try a few dishes but they were average. The Hukkah are quite good. Turkish music and dance was something I saw for the first time. You have people all over the place dancing on it. It was a spacious cafe too

The restaurant located in Dallas, TX, has unfortunately garnered a reputation for providing one of the worst customer service experiences. If one wishes to have a disappointing dining experience, this is the place to go. The menu is outrageously priced at a minimum of $35 per person, offering meager portions such as a mere spoonful of hummus, baba ghanoush, and a small salad, along with one cold non-vegetarian dish of your choice. Surprisingly, they charge per person for this subpar offering.

Moreover, the majority of the servers demonstrate discriminatory behavior, particularly towards Asians and whites. They exhibit preferential treatment towards white Americans, appearing warm and welcoming, while treating others with rudeness and disdain, as if they are receiving free food. Regrettably, the prices do not match the quality of service as they add gratuity to the bill.

To add to the disappointment, the food itself is of dreadful taste. Despite offering belly dancing as an attraction, it turns out to be underwhelming and not worth the excitement.

In conclusion, it is evident that this restaurant falls far short of providing a satisfactory dining experience, and one might be better off considering alternative options

My family and I loved celebrating here, NOT ANYMORE. Terrible service. We had a guest with us that was not going to partake in dinner and we were still charged for her to sit for 10 minutes. Then they got very confused about our check and we’re trying to charge us an extra $150 for meals and drinks that we didn’t order. Very rude and not nice vibes

I love this place so much. The vibe on the weekend is fun. The food is great! The nargile is also very nice. I also enjoy meeting Turkish people and a lot of the workers are actually Turkish. The decor is awesome and the outdoor vibe is sooo nice. I just wish it was a lot closer to Fort Worth.

Somehow they managed to included bugs in their drinks and then try to charge for it. If that is for a drink cannot imagine the kitchen. Good atmosphere, substandard food, terrible service.

The food is not worth the money. After I ate, my stomach started to hurting. It’s not quality food. I don’t recommend this place.

Quality of service has gone down since I was last here. Came on a Friday afternoon around 5 (not busy) and the server seems to forget us and only bring 1 or the 2 items we ordered.

We just paid and left but still had to tip 18% as it’s included automatically.

Has outdoor seating and a nice atmosphere, but food and hookah are extremely overpriced for what you get. Food is mediocre at best and kind of a joke. Service is a hit or miss, but usually not very fast. They don't give you a check to pay, just have you pay on a tablet without any understanding of what you're being charged for. They include a service charge in your check without telling you and give you an option to tip extra. Atmosphere is the only reason I gave 1 star.

Great vibe and authentic food/Turkish coffee. The Knafeh was a hit! Only downside to this place if you are not aware is the 18% gratuity added to every bill

The food was not good, the meat was very tough because they used beef instead of lamb when grilling, knowing that my request was lamb, but they did not take care of the request. In general, the restaurant is very expensive and does not deserve these exaggerated prices.

Servers are absolutely rude and does not have any sort of politeness or customer service. I rarely write reviews….
