TWIN ELM GUEST RANCH, Bandera TX

Fantastic RV park and ranch! Mix of full time and short time RVers. Walk down to the river, see the horses, look for rocks and arrowheads, great game room and pool. Ms. Brenda was an awesome host! Our kids are asking to go back again already. They also offer hayrides and horseback rides but we didn't have time to take advantage of that this trip. Beautiful scenery and an easy drive in to San Antonio. Ate at Brick's River Cafe for great food and live music.

If one could select a negative rating, this spot would get negative 5 stars. I made a couple of reservations in 2021 for a 3 night reunion event in early April 2024 (April 6 through April 8). Our group was large, about 28 to 30 people. I paid a one-night deposit for each of the 10 cabins and 2 RV pull-through sites. I recently was told that my reservations were no longer any good, that they intend to raise rates for those days AND that they now require a 4 night's minimum stay. They recently sent me a NEW quotation for one of the reservations. The original quote for this reservation, which included 6 cabins and 2 RV pull-through sites, was for a total of $2,688.60 (for 3 nights). The NEW quote for this reservation is now $17,736.00 (for 4 nights). I let them know the NEW price was not acceptable and asked that they refund my deposit in total. I still do not have my refund.

Please note, we did not stay at the ranch. However, we were staying in Bandera for the fourth of July with our family. Twin Elm allowed us to come for the day (reasonable fee) and use their pool, waterslide, and even bring our own coolers with drinks and snacks. It was a great day for our family and the staff was so kind and helpful.

Very nice place and great straff. They are so nice and helpful and cooks very good food. We stayed in the honeymoon cabin. It was kind of small but worked for us. My wife went on a beautiful horseback ride and me and our son sent fishing in the beautiful river. Didn't catch anything though. They have a game room were our three year old son could play.

Only negative things are that the AC was very loud, the game room was a bit torn and could use some maintenance and the cabin could have been a bit larger but otherwise nothing to complain about.

We had a great time.

We visited the Twin Elm over the 4th of July weekend and had a wonderful time! Vicki and her team are super friendly and make everyone feel very welcome. I highly recommend staying here if you want a laid back, fun weekend. Very relaxing, great atmosphere and friendly people.

This is the best place you can find that is affordable and very family oriented phenomenal people and great experience perfect for retreats and just hanging out with the family I definitely recommend checking this place out

This place is amazing! The wranglers were so good with our daughter and her being a new rider! The ladies that keep these cabins looking good felt like family! The peace and quite evening were so nice. The owner is fabulous always making sure we had everything we needed! The views, the activities, cleanliness, the staff and the hospitality of everyone for sure will have me coming back. Best vacation I have had in years!

The staff was so accommodating to customize a weekend for us. The hospitality and food was off the charts! Everyone wants to make it an annual event!

Vikki and Andrew went out of their way to provide a memorable horseback riding experience for me. Great horses and a great ride! I highly recommend the trail riding at Twin Elm.

Only stayed here for one night what a great place to visit for a short or long stay staff really friendly rooms nice and clean we will try and get back next time we are over here

Just wanted to drop a line about how GREAT of a experience it was staying at Twin Elm Ranch this pass week. Good things were the beauty of the Ranch, The Hill Country, River and creek running thru it on our horse back ride, seeing the deer and Andrew being Top notch guide with knowledge. The hayride with the best story teller giving you information about the land and the driver with his dog is a must. Learning to rope and brand was fun for the Family also.

We had a great time pop up camping here. This is a great place to expose kids to livestock and even ride a horse.

I was at Twin Elm 6 years ago and it was wonderful! I was really looking forward to my return trip to one of my favorite destinations. What a disappointment! The campground was rundown, weeds everywhere including the area where you are supposed to shower before getting in the pool! The horse pens were abominable-panels held together with baler twine and rusty wire and full of weeds and rocks and broken wire!
I will NOT return!

The lady cleaning the restrooms and facilities is a hard worker.the rest rooms were very clean.the owner is less than desirable.to book your stay and then come in shouting at you for riding your horses.uh. I thot they advertised horse riding.thats what we did every year until covid.did not make the trip last year because of shut down.owners changed and this new owner DOES NOT like horse people.she got in my friends face and point her finger inches from her nose.there were 8 rigs and 18 people in our group.thats a horrible way to treat customer who bring you revenue.they closed the riding trails.the lady said horse people are horrible. DO NOT STAY HERE.the towns people of Bandera don't even like this place. I bet they have some stories too. Asta LA vista!

Would not recommend this place if you are an equine person. Stalls were the worse I've ever seen. They were some thrown up broken down panels barely held together with some bailing wire and hay twine. I had to wire them myself just to keep them together. To enter the pen you had to crawl over or undo the wire to get in to feed etc. Between the pens they used some broken pieces of fence post crissed crossed. Several pieces stuck up 1-2 foot. Perfect for a horse to impale hisself. I had three horses that had to be all together as in one pen but was charged for 3 stalls. There was no where to ride. I had to pick up old bailing wire sticks, and stumps before I could even put my horses in the makeshift pen. They advertise as an equine facilities. The arena obviously hasn't been used in years by the looks and condition of it. But I will say the lady cleaning the bathrooms does a fabulous job they were spotless. Wrote a review on Facebook and of course it was immediately removed and I was blocked. There are choices in bandera highly suggest you do your homework before booking here.
