Twisted Root Burger Co. reviews
14Me and my family Enjoyed it. It was our first time there. Even the drinks were great. My seemed to enjoy it a lot.we thank you for treating us right.
These guys know how to cook burgers! There very well could be some more smiles at the front. It's a shame that kindness, hospitality are of the past.
My wife and I traveled from Colorado to Lubbock Texas. We ordered online and scheduled the food to be picked up at 2: 30 p.m. When we arrived.
Issue 1: Online order scheduled our food to be done at 1: 45 even though we put the arrival time at 2: 30 so we had to go through the trouble of calling, regardless of already paying, and making sure the preparation time was correct.
Issue 2: When we arrived at 2: 30 they haven't even started putting together the order so we waited 15 more minutes for the food to be prepped.
Issue 3: Immediately after getting our late order and thinking the food was freshly prepared, we go to snack on our fries while driving only to be disappointed with lukewarm/cold soggy "fries"
Issue 4: We ordered salad. Instead of giving us dressing on the side the dressing was already put on our salad. By the time we got around to eating 5 minutes later we opened up our salads to some very wilted, flat, unappetizing mush.
DO NOT order online or to go. Not worth the $30 for 2 salads and 2 fries.
Decent selection of burgers, sides and drinks. Food is made well and seasoned. The place is small but not to small. Lighting is a bit dim but that is not a real issue. It is a bit expensive but good for rewarding yourself on the weekends.
Burger was juicy but a little more rare than I like. They do state in the menu that it is cooked medium.
Clean dining areas and friendly staff. Unique selection. Not sure the high end beef selections are what they should be. High salt content throughout meal
We came here to try it after moving back to Lubbock from Tennessee. We have been really big Blue Sky fans, but this place has it beat by a mile!
There are five people in our family and we spent $60 for everyone to have the burger of their choice drink and bacon cheese fries for the table.
The service was quick. They have their own house made sodas and pickles. The pickle bar was neat because they had a bunch of different options. I might add that two of my kids LOVE pickles. All the pickles were generally good!
The burgers though… perfectly done, juicy, fresh, well seasoned and downright delicious! Fresh toppings, house made buns, and options for house made condiments. The food was all around some of the best in Lubbock.
For those who prefer the lighter side of life there are salad and chicken options as well. While I didn’t try those I’m sure from everything I tasted they would be amazing.
Food is good, but way overpriced for what you get, and quality.
I've had better burgers for half of the price.
I am appalled! I am a milkshake enthusiast and I am dissatisfied. I was handed a frothy substance labeled milkshake. My roommates and I are currently on the toilet felling the wrath of this frothy monstrosity. Someone needs to get in there and get that expired custard and throw it in the trash. $5 is outrageous for something so unappetizing! Thank you for your time. Do better.
First time there think got the western burger was really good hamburger you can choose the kinda pickles you want they also have a bar when come back to Lubbock will go there again.
Saw this place while driving through Lubbock today and thought we would stop in and try it. It was pretty expensive for a burger place. Over $40 for two adults and a kid's burger. Burgers had a good flavor but were so over cooked that they were tough and dry. Fries were delicious as were the onion straws. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere however it was dirty and not well taken care of. It could have been worse but also could have been a whole lot better. It probably won't be a place we will try again.
I picked up a Door Dash here. The staff was probably the most engaging and sincerely nice people that I've encountered in that situation. Place was clean and the food smelled amazing.
Great burger and fries and great price. The only complaint I have is that the online menu was inaccurate, no fried green beans and carrots and no explanation as to why.
I had the western burger, treat-yo-self twisted fries, and a oreo shake.
The burger was a good size with a fair amount of toppings. But I felt it was lacking that burger flavor. As if the patty had little to no seasoning.
The fries and shake where so-so nothing special.
Over all I feel as if the meal was over priced for what it was.
