Twisted Root Burger Company reviews
19First experience here. I've heard a lot about the Arlington location (now closed down I believe). It was good, the pickle area was pretty neat. It's decorated pretty neat. We had the Westner. It was a good 1st experience. IDK of I'd make that drive again.
I got the Big Tex without a bun, served in a bed of romaine. It was yummy but the best part of my meal was the root beer float
Arrived close to opening. There were no menus available. The staff were pleasant, but seemed new or poorly trained. One of the staff was wearing his mask poorly. I'm not one that argues for or against masks, but.if he wasn't strictly adhering to that sanitation guideline, what else was he disregarding? The tables were dirty (dead fly under the paper towel holder at the cleaneat table we found). The avocado was turning; sour, and not just browning from oxidation. The guacamole was equally off. The bathrooms were disgusting and showed signs of being ignored for an extended period (a layer of dust on the spare toilet paper). Thankfully, our food was mostly good. I like Twisted Root, but this location has a long way to go.
Delicious burgers at a reasonable price with excellent pace. The restaurant also has a lovely appearance and classic music. I always have a good time whenever I'm here. And a good meal!
Twisted Root is definitely a fan favorite for downtown Carrollton, TX. The staff is amazing and the bartenders are super cool. The establishment is always clean and im greeted immediately upon entering. My food is always hot and cooked well, but I'd caution you to always check your bag before leaving as usually something or another is mixed up or forgotten.
Place has great twist and very good feel of rustic ambiance! Plus the burgers are awesome! Had classic burger, was very juicy at every bite, fries are great and crispy, and their soft drinks were never before experience for me. Great decision going there!
Every time my family and I visit, we have always recieved the best food, awesome service and memories of fun and laughs. And you have to try the pickles! Burgers made to order that are juicy and full of flavor. They carry their own root beer that tastes so much better than what is out there. Well worth a visit with friends and family!
The food was definitely 5 stars! It was delicious! The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the price. Not saying it was not worth it but I wish we would have had an idea of the price before hand. Any way it was expensive but soon ggoooooooddd!
Chicken sandwich is delicious. Love the sauces and the pickle bar. Spicy mustard and the secret sauce are my favorites so far. I splurged on a milk shake and wasn’t loving it. More like flavored whipped cream than a milk shake.: (
Atmosphere and location is great. The pickles are great, and the exotic burgers are pretty good too, but pricey. My only complaint is the price point doesn't quite match the quality, for a non-exotic meat burger
This is a must try burger joint. Very laid back extremely fun environment and the best game burger you will ever have. Walk in here in a bad mood and guaranteed to leave happy, smiling and way full. From a good bar to playing pool to amazing burgers. This place is perfect for a date or just a get away for the evening
This place was so good! Our burgers were so tasty and really cooked perfectly. Fried pickles were okay. Onion rings are the thin kind, which I prefer, and were delicious. Fries were also pretty good. The pickle bar is a pickle lovers dream! The bar area was nice with a good selection of beer.
Please build in South Austin next.
Awesome burgers and friendly bartenders. The atmosphere is great and they have a decent selection of craft beers on tap. The patio is dog friendly and a relaxing place to kick back after work.
I placed an order togo and sat at the bar never once did anyone ask me if would like a drink while I wait for my food. Enough said. SMH
Yummy! I love that they have great gluten free bread and 'Treat yo self frys! I like the try the verity of dried is and pickles. Clean, organized, friendly and oh so good. My son enjoys their tenders and we love our family outings at this location. So far they have been family friendly welcoming.
Great burgers and selection, prices not bad. Like the throwback decor a lot, and charming how they give all the customers a celebrity pickup name. Small drawback is the restroom which is where I like the 21st century, and the pool tables taking cash only (people still carry that?).
This is the third Twisted Root location I've visited, and I greatly enjoyed it. There is a great variety of burgers, drinks, and sides and you can choose from additional meats like boar or buffalo for your burger depending on the day's selection. This restaurant is family friendly counter service, and is perfect for an afternoon meal with friends.
Hands down one of the best burger places I’ve been to. You can’t beat their juicy burgers with fries, peppercorn ranch or in-house root beer. This place is great to bring out-of-towners to as well.
Best burger ive ever had.bar none.the meat itself was super rich.almost a creamy buttery type hint/feel to it.with out sounding corny, the atmosphere was amazing.they call you goofy actors names instead of a number, and have a communal pickle bar lol.which kind of sketched me out at first but turned out to be REALLY good.the only thing i could ding it on, would be that theyre so damn busy, but thats a good thing and now i know why.that and the music was a bit loud.prices are actually pretty good for the quality/ quantity of food you get.
