Meh, underwhelmed by this place after reading all the 5 star reviews. I’d say this is well above chipotle but nothing to write home about. Carne asada burrito was good but wasn’t anything special. Sauces on the side were a nice touch. Probably won’t go back.

It was alright, tacos are on the smaller side, could have gotten over that if they were great tasting. But taste wise they are just ok, have had better quality at few other places. Also stingy with the hot sauce, only 1 allowed per dish apparently, other chains don't charge extra for hot sauce. This is Mexican food, hot sauce should not be extra!

I am writing this review as an edit of my last. I wrote earlier stating that the tacos where not the best and there where many ways they could improve. They def did, ate here 3 times since my last review, and they food has been great fresh and not to greasy.
Their horchata is really well done as well. This is def a place I will come back to regularly when I am in downtown and craving some tacos.

Best steak street tacos this native New Mexican has had in a restaurant! So flavorful and perfect heat! Great service, value and good portions! Been craving them ever since! I will definitely be back!

Yummy spot for some yummy Mexican fare! You can’t go wrong with their street tacos! I actually got Lupe’s Salad, with asada, and it was delicious! Chock full of perfectly seasoned steak, on a nice bed of arugula, tomatoes, cukes and avocado. And when I say “chock full” I mean it! A lot of times salads are more lettuce than meat, and this was not the case. The vinaigrette paired nicely with the seasoned meat.
I also got one pork taco on a delicious homemade corn tortilla…. So flavorful! The restaurant was clean, service speedy and waitstaff friendly. The portions were perfect! I wanted more street tacos but glad I only ordered one, cause I would have been uncomfortable stuffed, if I had!
I suspect I’ll be back here, at least one more time, before leaving Dallas!

I had the 3 steak tacos with rice and beans the total with tax was $10.81 first off the steak was not fresh it seem to have been sitting out for a while the edges were hard and the steak was dry. They serve a very small portion of beans and rice. The beans were refried beans but they were very soupy and the taste was questionable I couldn't tell if they were spoiled or if that was just the flavor of the beans.the rice was pretty good but I couldn't enjoy it.

The food was okay. Rice and beans were good, but tacos were very average.
The service was poor though. Only one of our party got their food on time. The rest received theirs (3 tacos) 30 minutes later, and one plate was already cold, as if it was sitting. The last plate was received only after asking 4 times, and half of the meat was only fat. The staff was rude and unpleasant.

I’ve been to this place 30+ times, started getting the veggie quesadilla (very cheesy), then moved on to the veggie taco (presentation is beautiful and vegetable selection is excellent; depending on the cook)
. Then I started eating the Chicken tacos (THEY SMACK, when cooked properly.) now I’m trying Lupe’s salad for the first time hopefully it’s as delicious as the others

Took my partner out to dinner and it was absolutely worth the drive. The food was amazing and on top of that, the horchata was authentic! It would’ve been nice to be welcomed in, instead we just got stared at. Kind of pricey but worth it; I spent $30 on the both of us.

Food was okay. They are not very generous with the amount of meat in the food. I had tacos (2 steak, 1 chicken) and the portion of meat was small. The steak tacos were good but the chicken had no flavor even though it looked like it was full of flavor. If those two things could change then we would definitely be back.

Was in town for work. Went 2 nights in a row. They have a bar, tacos are tasty! The 1st night was great, the 2nd night I went (consecutive) it was still great but not as great as the first night. I would still mark it as 5 stars but just an honest opinion. I would go back. The beans and rice are awesome too!

LOVE! Went in for a late night bite while waiting on some friends to get off work & stumbled upon Twisted Trompo! And I'm so glad I did! I got Mouth watering street tacos served with beans and rice a frozen margarita & life saving churros! Life is good. Try them out!

This is my second time going in the first time I came I had a great experience the second time I received a little friend in my food I was disgusted I called to speak with a manager and I spoke with Augustin he was very rude he said if “i have been there before and didn’t have a bug on my food why would you have a bug today it’s always a different experience Mr. Augustin, And this time your staff grossed me out. He was careless and he told me that I can report it and do whatever is needed all they’re gonna do is go to his restaurant and check it for flies or birds I’m truly disgusted I will never go back there again and I will not recommend.

Tacos were delicious. I tried each type of meat but the Al Pastor stood out the most. The rice and beans were tasty as well. I wish more toppings came on the tacos besides onions and cilantro (cheese, fajitas, etc) without it costing extra, however they were still tasty without it. Maybe it’s more authentic that way and I’m just unaware. The mild salsa was still too spicy to me, however I have extremely low spice tolerance so that’s more of a me issue. Finding parking is a bit of pain, however I highly recommend going and will be trying the quesadillas next

Last night would have been my second time going here for dinner, alas they staff started closing the store an hour early. The first time I ate here it was pretty good and I was looking forward to going back. When I walked in last night at 9 half the store was closed down being cleaned and the smell of sanitizer punched me in the face. Ok, I can eat on the patio then and not have the cleaner smell ruin my dinner. I get to the counter and the first thing out of the cashiers mouth was "takeout only". Um on, how about a "hi, thanks for coming in, just to let you know we are closing early and are only able to provide take out at this time". So, not fully understanding I asked, "Can I not eat on the patio? ". "no, we are only doing takeout" So I left, and likely won't be back. I get wanting to leave early, and am assuming there was not a manager on duty because I would probably have had a better interaction otherwise. If there was a legit reason they needed to close down then I feel I would have gotten one.

They probably in my top 3 for street tacos. Best chicharrón tacos I’ve ever had, and the way they fry the taco shell *chef kiss*. Only downfall is that parking is difficult/non existent.

Update: just had the burrito and realized my order was incorrect. It was supposed to be a breakfast burrito but it was a plain steak burrito and somewhat lackluster. Stick to the tacos here.
