Impossible to get lab work results from them, it's ridiculous honestly. Most places you can view your lab work same day online but here you have to wait for them to call you. They say it'll take 2 days but it's been 5 days and I still can't get a call back.

I was an established patient of Dr. Medel. My insurance changed to Amerigroup and I was thrilled to see Dr. Medel listed as an in network provider on the Amerigroup panel. Upon updating my insurance information with Denise, I was told “we are in network but we don’t take it”. This was the first time staff was shady and dishonest with me. I had Amerigroup call with me on the line, where Tee kept repeating that they are not accepting new patients with Medicaid. We continually explained I was not a new patient. However, it got us no where. I suppose she was pretending not to hear that part. Tee and Denise both know this is not in compliance with their member contract, but yet refuse to do the right thing. I was told they would need to speak with Dr. Medel to continue my care, I would receive a call back. I have yet to hear back from this office, so at this point I have filed a grievance with Amerigroup for discrimination and breech of their provider contract. Office management is very tacky, dishonest, and greedy. They are only interested to have you as a patient of you can prepay your delivery fee way in advance.

03/11: Would like to provide an update to my situation.

I was referred to this office as a high risk pregnancy, and due to Tee and Denise’s lack of care and compassion - I had to hunt for a new OB, wasting precious time.

I have lost my baby at 16 weeks. Which I found out at my initial OB appointment at another office that my child no longer had a heartbeat.

Thanks again Tyler OBGYN for totally wasting my time and putting my child’s life at risk that ultimately ended in my sons death. I will always wonder what would of happened if I did not have such a huge gap between my OB care. Tyler OBGYN should be ashamed of themselves.

Dr medel was absolutely the best experience I’ve ever had with health care of any kind. She was extremely kind companionate and helpful. She went above and beyond in my high risk pregnancy to protect my baby. She took my concerns seriously and never made me feel any lack of support. During my c section she was a great support before my husband could come in the room. She was genuinely excited to be in the room and to do her job. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone and everyone. If I was having another I would travel to her to have my next child as well.

Dr. Medel was very kind and listened to all I had to say. She was very resourceful. I'm thankful I finally found a great dr.

Great doctors! I carried twins to full term with no complications. Dr. Charest listened to every request and concern I had with no judgement. Never made me wait long to see her at my appointments. I also had encounters with 2 other doctors and they were also amazing!

I called numerous times with no response and when i finally got an answer the woman was snarky and had an bad attitude for no reason. Don’t recommend

I was super nervous finding a new doctor after my previous OBGYN of over 10 years discontinued accepting my insurance. Thankfully I discovered this office and Dr. Charest. All of the staff are welcoming and friendly, and Dr. Charest actually listens to you and is responsive to your needs. I won’t be going anywhere else!

The only thing this office cares about is money. They ignored my prenatal coverage with my previous insurance which was 100% covered no deductible. They refused to see me unless I paid the labor and delivery deductible even though I told them my insurance would be changing before then and there was no point in paying that for one policy when that policy wasn’t going to be active. Now that I have my new insurance instead of them telling me weeks ago to find a different doctor they tell me today to find another doctor and I’m supposed to have a C-section in 2 weeks or less. The front office staff when calling was rude anyways. Definitely don’t recommend this office. Read your insurance policies, know your coverages. This place denies prenatal care even if your policy covers it 100% they just care about money from labor and delivery and nothing else.

I take care of my disabled daughter that is 21. She would not write a letter stating how much care my daughter needed, to keep her provider hours from being cut. My daughter has a lot of female problems due to diarrhea and endometriosis!

This was the worst experience I have ever had at an OB office. The only thing that was made perfectly clear to me was how much I would owe them. This is my third pregnancy and I am not ignorant to the process, but I was treated horribly by the office staff and left in tears. I would never recommend the experience of this OB office to anyone.

Absolutely LOVE this doctors office! First pregnancy they gave me so much information I didn’t even know about. They answered all of my million questions with Patience and understanding. I travel an hour just to see Dr. Phillips. He is a great doctor. The front staff are always so nice when you come in or call. And the nurses are very nice as well! I never have to wait longer then 5min to be called to the back they are always on time and efficient! Definitely recommend this office!

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Medel and her nurse Becky! I moved to Tyler a year ago and was very nervous about going to another OB GYN! Let’s just say I LOVE LOVE HER & Her staff! During my appointment I had to look up some things from a precious Doctor it took longer than expected so I just left after bout 20 mins. Dr. Medel called me after 5pm to make sure I was comfortable with the plan of care we came up with and to make sure I had no other questions. Not only did she make sure I was comfortable after every appointment her nurse Becky also called and made sure after every appointment I had what I needed. I am very grateful I found them! For the first time in years I feel like a individual patient and not just another number?

I love Dr. Ayala! This is my first pregnancy and she has answers for my millions of questions. She is very upbeat and extremely nice! I highly recommend her!

Dr. Flanagan is wonderful! I also saw Dr. Ayala once when Dr. Flanagan was gone, and she is great, too. The staff are always friendly and efficient! I highly recommend!

Dr Jason Phillips is IS AMAZING. I swear he is sent straight from heaven. We went through PCOS, a miscarriage, fertility trials for 2 years with him and my pregnancy. We finally had our little boy and Dr Phillips was incredible the WHOLE ENTIRE time. Wouldn't change a thing about my fertility experience, pregnancy or postpartum.

AVOID this place if you are in pain. Their staff is awful and they are completely indifferent when it comes to a patient's pain level. They are more of a pessary dispensary than real doctors. Plenty of caring physicians in the area but not here. Beware!
