The A/C was struggling to keep up with the 100 deg temps outside which made for a warmer than usual dinner… but, the food and the service were great!

Each dish at Uchiko is a masterpiece, meticulously crafted to showcase the freshest ingredients and culinary finesse. I started with the signature Uchiko Edamame, which elevated this humble appetizer to a whole new level with its subtle blend of spices. The Hamachi Nabe was another standout; the delicate slices of yellowtail melted in my mouth, harmonizing perfectly with the fragrant broth.

The Sushi Omakase was an unforgettable experience, as the chef expertly presented an assortment of nigiri and maki. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the rice was seasoned to perfection. The chef's creativity shone through in each piece, with unique flavor combinations that delighted the palate.

Finding good japanese food/sushi in Austin is difficult, but this place has some great options. The service and atmosphere was great and reminded me of Japanese restaurants in New York. Keeping in mind NYC has the best food in the country, Uchiko does come close in quality and flavor.

Got a gift card here for my birthday and finally got to use it! 10/10 for the food & atmosphere. Definitely have to try the Milk & Cereal dessert. Was given to us complimentary for the birthday and was amazing! Will return again.

Vegetarian food at this place is just awful. Me and my friend both got sick after eating their vegetarian food. The lady who served was a bit unpleasant to deal with.

My wife and I enjoyed all dishes but it's the whole experience that we enjoyed the most. I recommend seating at the bar to get a glimpse of controlled chaos and see professionals at work. It's a beautiful site. We'll be back for more.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Austin. Every server I've encountered is knowledgeable, friendly, and go out of their way to make sure we experience peak hospitality. Had omakase (chef's tasting) worth about 170 bucks per person. Not worth the penny at all. If you look for a decent omakase, this is not the place.

Best sushi I've ever had. Super pricey but totally worth it. Expect to drop $150/person

Excellent food - very fresh and creative sushi and sashimi dishes. Desserts were delicious too! Would recommend you give it a try!
