Restaurant Uncle Julio's reviews
34We were a party of 9. It took us 15 minutes to be seated when there were plenty of empty tables available. Our waitress took our drinks and our order and didn't see her 25 minutes later after we got our food. We needed refills and she wasn't around to wait on us so I asked a waiter that was passing by if he could help us. Thanks to him we got our refills since our waitress forgot about us. Everyone got their food except for me so I had to wait another 15 minutes to get my food. I order the chicken fajita plate. The beans were soft and hard and very salty. The rice was very hard and very plain without any flavor. I'm very disappointed with my experience here. It's not worth the price for terrible service and bad food. I won't go back to this place again.
Very good place to eat. Food was second to none. Will def be returning here. Fajitas are legit. Service was perfect. Person taking care of our group has an amazing memory. Took a very large order of diffrent dishes without writing anything down and got it right. Was very impressed with his memory not to mention was super friendly.
The restaurant manager is so in tune with the guests and the quality of each and every plate. The staff is friendly and more than accommodating.
Great atmosphere even during Covid they have everyone required to wear a mask except for eating. Food is proportioned well so you don’t take anything home and chips and salsa or guacamole is served as a free appetizer.
My food wasn’t good and my wife and mother had a sickness from it that expelled the partially digested food from both ends of their bodies.
Won’t be eating there for a really long time.
Always my Fave place! Matin was a great bartender! Always meet great people at the Bar! Good to be back in Texas!
It would be a 4 or 5 if they hadn't gotten so expensive. I used to go 2-4 times a month, but since I can't get out of there for under $70 for two people, I only go about every 6 months. There are less expensive options in DFW with food just as good.
Absolutely disappointed. It's been a while since I've been here and it was not as good as it used to be. I ordered spicy shrimp fajitas & the plate wasn't sizzling when brought out and the vegetables and shrimp weren't seared. It came with a 40 pieces of onions and 5 pieces of bell peppers that were awful cuts and of course not seared. My wife had chicken fajitas and again, the same issue. We had our son with us and we weren't even give a kids menu. He opted for fish tacos that came with an overflowing pile of cabbage and the tacos were dry. We should've went to Fuzzys instead. We're definitely not returning.
Good food and service, but a little on the expensive side since the place where I go on a regular basis has food that is just as good but a lot less expensive.
This was my family's first time to dine at Uncle Julio's. Good food and large portions! We asked to sit at another table other than the one that was squished up against a wall and between other tables.
One of the two waiters/hosts informed me that he would have to clean off tables to move us. Really? ! The other waiter was very gracious and polite. The waitress who actually took our orders and served us was wonderful! Prices are a bit steep for a tex-mex meal. I did enjoy my meal, though!
Excellent service. Very tasty authentic food! Wait staff very helpful and polite. The facilities were clean in the ladies room. Definitely going back!
Other than the SWEET ice tea being BITTER rather than sweet, everything was good eatin' as usual! Great combo fajitas, the meats cooked perfectly to order! Love the guacamole! And the strawberry-guava lemonade must've been pretty darn good because without realizing it I was working that straw to get every last drop when the wait staff promptly offered me refill. Good stuff!
Try the Habenero Bacon wrapped Shrimp. It is the bomb! Margaritas are always top notch. The Cheese and Onion Enchiladas are a favorite if I don't have their amazing Mesquite Grilled Fajitas. Kinda pricey but well worth it.
Great staff. Good food. Fresh salsa and tortillas - on point! Limited inside seating in the waiting area. I had the chicken and steak fajitas and they were a little above par.
Ridiculous. Reservation made weeks ahead of time. Reconfirmed a few hours ahead of time so they knew we were coming and they still failed to have anything remotely close to ready. Then split up our party across three tables that weren't even together. Manager lied instead of taking responsibility which was the kicker. Food was okay. Nothing great. Won't be back.
Food was great, atmosphere was nice (seating a little cramped in the middle), and service was incredible.
The waitress took a REALLY long time to get to us and they weren’t even busy. I’m disappointed with this location cause the other locations are way better
Good food, but had to wait to be seated in an empty restaurant. Finally sat ourselves on the equally empty patio.
First time here, it was a new place in Arlington that is always crowded, so we came here to true the food. Food is OK, not a big deal. Waitress was OK nothing to give more than a $1 tip, but she got $ 5 because of my kind heart and knowing they only make $2 or $3 per hour.
We didn't have dinner. But it was the second time that we took the Grandkids for a Chocolate Pinata!
It was perfect! What an awesome sugar high
