16Mail delivery service from the Dayton TX post office is unreliable! Never received my packages several times in the past. I called the post office as soon as tracking showed delivered in my mailbox but was not in my mailbox. When I called I was told the carrier would go to house where my package was delivered at the wrong mailbox and retrive it for me. This never happened! When I complained to the post master about it, I was told- we're all human, we make mistakes. I could accept that if it happened once, maybe twice, but this has happened far too many times in the past. I like to shop online and now I cannot because the mail carriers don't pay enough attention to the address on the package and deliver to the wrong mailbox. Many times in the past, I have also received other peoples mail in my box and left it in mailbox with a note to the carrier saying wrong address. This is happening way too much. It is totally unacceptable service but nothing you can do about it. I have never had this problem even onces before living in Dayton. In order to post a review, you have to rate at least one star. They don't even deserve one star! Terrible service!
Over and over again they fail to deliver Amazon packages on Sunday’s, it says out for delivery then in the afternoon it’s either ‘delivery attempted but address unaccessible’ or ‘customer request item be held at post office’, both of which are complete lies as I’m sure there is no box to be checked that says ‘we’re too lazy to do our job’
The worst post office I have ever delt with in my whole 57 years. The mail carrier are lazy will not even get out of there vehicles. Leaves sorry we missed you in mail box while you are standing outside watching them put note in mail box. Sit in driveway and blow the horn for you to come out and sign for certified letter that goes to someone else because they will not come outside. They never answer the phone and the postmaster is full of excuses.
This is the worst USPS office I've ever dealt with. They throw boxes on my driveway, regardless of the weather. They cram and shove packages in my mailbox avoiding leaving their vehicle at all costs. Packages constantly get sent to wrong locations, example: Package goes from out for delivery to sent to completely incorrect office. Everything they practice is completely unacceptable. The office will fail to deliver a package then leave a digital, not physical message reading 'being held at office per customer request'. I drive 30 minutes to retrieve my package and it's not even there. Horrible. Absolutely horrible. I will be filing a complaint.
The worst letter carriers! We have signs posted stating where to leave packages. Do they make it there? No! I have made complaints, several times. I have an elderly mother in law, I'm afraid she will see a package and try to get it and fall and break something. We have had them leave deliveries at the end of our carpet, in the rain! They have left them on the trunk our vehicle, in the bed of a truck, and next to some car parts. Sometimes I get lucky and check our security cameras so I can find our stuff. Today's package has not been found, and I can't get an answer at the post office. These are the laziest people i have ever seen!
Twice now in 3 weeks my Amazon pks on a Sunday have been delivered to a Dayton address.when it clearly states liberty! And the name of my road does not exist in Dayton.so where did you take them?

I would recommend shipping your packages with the Liberty post office instead. Dayton post office has frequently charged me money for my packages being allegedly over the weight on the shipping label even though I always weigh my packages before purchasing the shipping label. Liberty post office has never done this. They also deliver the packages in the wrong mailbox. My neighbors would often get my mail or packages would never get delivered to me. This post office is a joke.
The mail carrier hasn't delivered packages or mail in days. Stating my mail box is blocked. Now my mail is being held. My mailbox is NOT BLOCKED.
They have terrible customer service. I only went looking for information about the post office box, and the man at the counter had a very bad attitude.
This s the worst post office ever. The people are so rude, especially the post master. They give the post office a bad name. They refuse to deliver packages and are rude when you have to go pick them up. They should all be fired
Should get no stars. I've been calling and apparently none works there to pick up phones. Tracked my package and apparently it still there since July 11. What seems to be the problem? I cannot stand this post office. I've been living in Dayton for 20 yrs and always have a problem when it comes to packages. C'mon people get it together
The mail doesn't go at any particular time of day. Some times in the morning and so and that makes it ruff if you are waiting for somethingmetimes between 7pm.or 8pm or you don't get any mail at all and it comes the next day. And that makes it ruff if you are waiting for something to arrive so you can leave or important documents you.need. It is also hard to send items. They never get anywhere in a Timely matter that iwe.are
My sister and I pulled into the driveway at the same time as the postal carrier. She handed me our mail, and on the top? A "Sorry We Missed You" notice. She didn't even bring my parcel, and had the notice all ready to go. We also kept getting other people's mail a lot. Thankfully it doesn't happen as often now. We also had issues with some of the drivers going way too fast down our road. On the plus side, I tend to have pleasant interactions with most of the workers inside.

Absolutely terrible service. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. The staff completely refused to assist when they were capable of doing so. Of course you can't reach anyone by phone and cannot reach a central customer support. What a waste of taxpayer dollars.
