United States Postal Service reviews
16Just left the post office. Every time I come here, the workers give me an attitude when I’m asking a question I don’t know the answer to. Today, I asked Lawrence if he knew if they had wifi so I could pull up my document they needed on my phone and he talked to me like I was a complete idiot and told me to step back and get out of the way. I asked someone else, a lady with brown hair helping out people in line, why a fee was $25 for a mailbox lock change and she said “well we have to get paid too” and another bystander inappropriately chimed in and said “well you have to do it”. I felt stupid for just asking questions. I was already having a stressful, not so great day and they just made it so much worse. Finally, the sweet lady in the counter right across from the front of the line helped me. She saw I was having a bad day, and she was so friendly, patient, and explained everything very thoroughly because I didn’t understand what was going on (hence why I went in the first place). I’m so thankful for her, I wish I could remember her name. Thank you!
ZERO STARS. I requested mail hold and redelivery for my vacation. Request was set for ret for redelivery on July 31. It is August 12 and still not mail. I have gone in person, sent an email and opened TWO service requests. Still no mail. I was told a supervisor would reach out to me. Nope. Their phone system does not work and just rings constantly until the call is dropped. Mail contains my drivers license renewal and medication. They do not care. TERRIBLE< TERRIBLE<TERRIBLE!
This isn’t a fully functioning post office. It is a place for mailmen to pick up and deliver packages. I could not drop off my virtual work equipment here to send to my employer.
Unfriendly staff, I came here for a passport application and the photo they took that I paid $15 for got rejected. It’s been almost a year and I got my passport after submitting a different photo, but I have not received my birth certificate that I was required to send in with my application. Overall a very bad experience with this location and the government in general.
The people who work at this office are the most unpleasant of humans. I would love to never have to go here again, unfortunately I have to pick up my mail because they also are the slowest at changing a lock.
Sorriest shipping and package delivery in the nation. Tracked number to wrong address. Cannot contact anyone by phone at the Postal Service.went to Post office 5 times, spoken with 5 different people. Cannot contac tPostmaster (hiding?) $82 item missing because of bureaucratic idiots. Use UPS. FedEx.anyone but USPS.at least others have customer service. Been attempting to resolve this for 23 days.
. And, again. July 2023. Claimed to have left package in mailbox. Item was folding lawnchair. There is no way it would fit in a mailbox. They will defend employees who lie, as before.and as usual, no one answers the phone and "box is full". Would rate O if I could.
This office is always friendly and the people behind the counter are very nice to work with.
So majority of the time I come to this location I get treated nicely, some of the workers give dum dums to my boys, and it’s relatively clean however, many times I try to come and drop off packages and the drop box is locked closed so I cant drop off all the packages I have. Its very inconvenient to take the time to drive to drop off at the post office and the box is locked. Im honestly convinced at this point someone does it when they close so they dont have alot of packages to process first thing in the morning when they get to work… call me crazy but it’s happening way too often.
I am in San Marcos on a job temporarily and wanted to send something out at the post office here. In reading the reviews of the post offices here in San Marcos and the surrounding area, it isn't a happy thing. Mostly terrible reviews. The one review that had some positive remarks was the location in New Braunfels at the gas station on FM 306. I spoke with the guy who ran that branch and after telling him about all the terrible reviews of USPS here in this area, he routed me to the Post Office off of IH-35 in New Braunfels in a shopping center. The reason that he did so was because I needed a money order and at his facility, they can't do money orders - hence the recommendation for the other branch. I took his advice and paid them a visit this morning.
The post office here on the Frontage Road of IH-35 is only open between 10am and 12pm on Saturdays. Guess what I found when I got there at 10am? A standing line of people and it stayed that way the entire time I was there. 3 people on the counter. 2 ladies and a gentleman. All 3 were very nice and pleasant and hard working. The customers were well taken care of. They weren't rushed and details were dealt with.
One thing to mention to folks visiting this location on a Saturday morning. Their cash reserves are limited. They open with only a certain amount of CASH. So, if you are carrying 20's and up and need change - don't be surprised if they tell you that they cannot make change for those bills. I know, I dealt with it this morning.
The lady that I dealt with was very kind and went above and beyond to get me change. I will know better next time. But, that is a hitch - bring small bills. She was very specific about this with me and since this was my first time at their location and I did not know, she made sure that she found change. But, it took almost 15 minutes for her to do so.
Overall, with the crowd, the line moved steadily, no laziness here. All 3 employees were attentive, helpful, kind and considerate. I enjoyed doing business here. I guess I could say that this will be my "go to" post office while I am here.
Note to postmaster - you have a great staff. They are well trained and know their jobs.
F I could put Zero stars I would because today I was given very rude customer service today.
All the stuff was so rude, they’re talked down with us AS if we was NOTHING.
We have appointments for our 3 kids, from 10: 15 am till 11 am, the didn’t help us and the SUPERVISOR was so RUDE.
We came from Kyle to New Braunfels, the lost our time and they didn’t do the passport and told us to reschedule the appointment.
I really completely DISGUSTED with this women's behavior (supervisor), she needs to be fired for such disrespectful service!
Please don’t lost your time for bad and RUDE customer service.
Staff here especially one lady at the counter is beyond rude. She treats people like dirt and some how because she works at a post office that she is better than everyone else. Nothing will happen though this is a prime example of govt employees.
The New Braunfels Post office lost my Passport in the mail, to and from my house, looks like someone is going out of the country on my passport, maybe the mailman or lady…. Newman…. They are very lazy and indecisive about where they store their mail….
They need a permanent vacation, retirement indeed….
Always a smooth and easy run through the New Braunfels Post Office and I go 1 to 2 times per week. There are always a minimum of 3 to 4 postal workers so the lines are always moving. They are fast and proficient, courteous and knowledgeable. They have everything needed to get your packages and letters off to their destinations.
Mr. Cloud was absolutely wonderful and helped us with an easy passport experience for our baby. Thank you!
Today I had the best experience I've ever had at any USPS. No wait. Efficient, competent service delivered with a positive attitude. Thank you, Leonard, for making this happen!
The happiest, most friendly and helpful postal workers. I spent a LOT of time in here during the 2020 holiday rush. Every day I was impressed with their customer service.
