I took my washer pressure washer to get repaired and took 4 MONTHS TO BE FIX and now I’m my second use after the reputed the pressure washer is broke again.
WORST SERVICE EVER.

Dropped my mower off to have the power drive cable replace and a regular service (flush gas tank, replace plug, replace air filter, change oil, sharpen blade.the normal things). Received a call that it was ready for pickup. Stopped in today, paid for the repairs and went to have the mower loaded. But before seeing the mower i noticed on the ticket that the drive cable was not replaced, but rather the brake / engine cable was. This puzzled me since the engine cable was fine when it was dropped off, no one called me to say that the drive cable "was not replace", yet I was being billed for something I did not request or authorize. The service manager was called in and he stated that he had been out for two weeks and didn't know anything about the mower, but offered to put my old cable back on.the cable they "found" in the repair shop was a broken one.how odd. Although he was polite, as was the counter lady, neither offered to correct this over charging on the part or associated labor, or apologize for not calling about about the main reason I was there.to replace the drive cable. I asked the service manager to have the owner call me so we could resolve this issue, but guess what. NO CALL. This may have been a simple mix up on their end, but being the customer, I'm the one that's taking the hit. I won't be back and plan on letting all of my friends, neighbors and acquaintances NOT to utilize this establishment. EVER!
P. S. I've just ordered the drive cable from Walmart. I'll replace it myself.

I have used this service for at least 30 years. The service has always been prompt, polite, honest, and helpful. I have never had a bad experience at University Lawn Mower Center.

This place will sell you parts kits that you don't need and then will not allow you to return them by making excusses.

Good variety at reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and helpful. They corrected a mistake that I made with my new Shindaiwa line trimmer.

Have done landscaping professionally and now do concrete profesionally and still bring equipment here to get repaired on concrete eqiup.they.ll fix it.properly first time and quick.good service

I had my 3 yr old Honda mower tuned up here in early Spring. I rec'd mower in good working condition or so I thought. After 2 month of regular use on my relatively small lawn using fresh gas with Stabil (which I have been doing since I purchased Honda) the mower stopped working. I returned it for service and University informed me my engine was irreparable needing replacement. To make matters worse, I would need to pay $20 for their service or leave it. After paying my $20 I received my mower with key components of the engine in a grocery bag. I will never use this company.

Before my business started I was told to go here to buy my equipment. I was given $10 per item by the sister. I was not happy for the way I was treated and the so called discount. I took my business elsewhere and paid $9500 cash. They lost my business a year ago. I’m looking to buy 2 stand- on mowers March 2019 and I will not step foot in this location.

Not a great Stihl dealer. Poor knowledge about products. When I chose the chainsaw I wanted they put gas with ethanol in it which is not good for high quality small engines. Then they didn’t have Stihl motomix to sell me either. They also didn’t tell me about the purchase of oil or motomix to extend warranty to 2 years. Fortunately I knew about it and told them. Then they didn’t give me the manual or tool that is included with purchase. When I returned on a different day to pick up it was like they were doing me a favor to give me what they forgot the first time. Definitely no apology. Overall poor service. Not impressed.

The prices are to damn high. I paid 700 to get my mower repaired they didn't even want to put air in my tires so I could load it in my trailer.

Never have I ever left a 1 star review because I felt like I needed to inform people of their ways.

Never will I ever be returning to their shady business again.

3 stars, but why? Allow me to explain. First and foremost, if you need to get your equipment fixed, these guys will do it and they will do it well as you would expect. Now, when it comes to the way they operate, that's where they start losing stars. Despite the fact that they told me they would call me for an estimate, they did not. To my surprise, the lawnmower I left there for service was already repaired by the time I called to ask what was going on. I noticed a lot of signs hanging inside stating their repair and return policies, which is something I didn't notice the first time I went there. One of those policies states that they will not call you for an estimate unless the cost of the repair is over $150, which to be honest is shady in my opinion because at least they could tell you verbally instead of expecting you to spot those policies yourself. Still, they did indeed get the lawnmower fixed rather quickly so what's fair is fair, even if it's not nice.

Today, May 25,2018, the Friday before Memorial day I went to the store at 4: 00 since their web page said they closed 5: 30 pm. I had order a part for pick up at about 2: 00 pm. There was a sign that stated they would be closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. They obviously decided "customers be dammed" we are are going to take off early May 25th and nor have that on our web page. It is their prerogative to close when they want but closing early today, without notice or at a time that any reasonable persons would not anticipate is not valuing customers.

It's true that they don't call you if the repairs is under $150. That's a little too high if you ask me, maybe something under $100 or $50 would make more sense depending on what the job is. Either way, my dad took his mower here because our line on the mower ripped off. We thought no biggie, easy repair should be cheap and why not help out a privately owned business. When I went to go pick up the lawnower I noticed that they charged us for things we did not request or need. I got charged for a filter I did not want or need, a miscellaneous piece of metal that made the mower line go all the way to the handle, and a spark plug I did not want as well. When I requested to have those items removed they told me the little warranty they offer for 30 days would be voided. Seeing as how they do business I was afraid that something could of gone wrong within those 30 days so I kept it and paid for all of it. I don't mind paying for things as long as you CALL me and explain to me why I should need them aside from what I came in and asked for. Bad service and communication, will no longer do business with again.
