They did a horrible job, we're never dropping our dog off here again, looks like they barely put water on the dog, so basically we spent $42 to have our dog sit for a few hours. DONT COME HERE

Urban Tails really cares for our dog, Beau, as if he were their own dog. He has boarded there on many occasions and we think he feel like it’s his home away from home. Also, the front desk personnel are very friendly and accommodating.
The trainer, Julie Smith, is outstanding and has helped our dog be more confident on his walks. She not only was able to train Beau to almost ignore other dogs and squirrels on our walks, but gave us advice on how to handle him when we had company over to the house.
I highly recommend Julie for your dog training needs and Urban Tails if you have to board your dog.

Wonderful staff, specially the front desk, they were so amazing, I wish I had gotten their names, and the trainers were so good at giving my Bella her swimming lessons, definitely will come back

This is for my Houston friends!
For over 10yrs I have been getting my puppies groomed at Urban tails in midtown and have recommended to many! Last Thursday when I picked up Frida, she was bleeding badly and in excruciating pain. Vet said her nail was broken and immediately operated to remove the remaining nail. She is still in pain and cannot walk on her paw. Gretchen who claims to be the owner is out of state. I demanded her to call me, the following was her response, “our groomer did not intentionally hurt your dog. ” I want everyone to know what happen for anyone who takes their pet to Urban tails.

They have done an amazing job with Koko, and I am blown away at the way they have turned around over the past year.

We have a doberman puppy that just completed the training program. The prices are incredibly reasonable and you receive great professional training! The classes were always encouraging and really helped with our spastic puppy issues. She is MUCH more well behaved. Experience was great, results were great, price was great. Literally no complaints! A million thanks for the staff loving our dog as much as we do! Means a lot!

This place is great! Everyone there is professional, friendly and helpful. The real judge here is Ziggy. He loves it and tries to run inside when we arrive. Some days, he does not want to leave... Thank you, Urban Tails, for taking care of Ziggs.

Unprofessuonal. Overly officious. Too defensive when they overbook. Ignores clients' info: tried to put us one the defensive: when i called in ahead of late ETA, they ignored my location and game night commute until i got there to find a extant, paralized client minimalized for me. Poor thing had "pooped in the pool" where low immunity me was scheduled to train. Oh, yuck!

I called to ask about boarding my dog Riley and was blown away with the amount of information received. I think I spoke to Ashley who went through pricing, room sizes and information on different activities Riley could do while staying. I had no idea they offered a pool as Riley loves to swim. I am excited that I found a new home away from home for her!

My dog loves this place! Dexter can hardly wait to go play with his friends! Some days I can't even get him to eat breakfast at home he is so excited to get there! They are always happy to feed him. I can buy a bag of quality dog food there and keep it there for him. I can also pick up a bag for home if I'm running low.

Excellent place! You can tell they really love the animals. Our dog is usually scared when we take her to the vet, groomer, or anywhere else. But not here - she's always excited. A+

The staff here is really friendly and accommodating, and their play day and doggy pool options are wonderful! They also have a variety of good, reasonably priced treats, surprisingly affordable antler chews, food (including raw/frozen) and CBD-based treats. Last, but not least for me, their lobby cat is BEAUTIFUL (and will sit in your lap) and the atmosphere/decor is inviting.

Terrible. Joseph the assistant general manager is so nasty, unprofessional and extremely disrespectful.
I called in to ask him if anyone returned my watch I placed on the table during my dogs swimming day. He placed me on hold stating he would check with the rest of the staff but never returned. I called back and he told me no one has seen my watch. I asked for upper management and he said he don't give out names of the owner or general manager, then hung up in my face. When I called back he stated he placed me on speaker so other customers can hear him yelling in the phone with his nasty breath and horrible attitude. I took both of my animals to swim here, gave the lady a tip and booked another session. After this mental employee attacked me I will never return to this place. I am so glad I recorded both of the calls and I will be posting them on social media. It seems to me he is the one who took my watch, there is no other reason to attack someone who is asking for their property. He was not the least bit concerned about getting my watch to me as if he was the one who stole it. He was super defensive when I asked for my watch saying I should've called that day if I wanted it.
I thought urban tails was a professional place but now I see they pay Joseph to attack their customers for asking for their own property. Joseph is the reason I will never return. I am so disappointed and shocked by his actions.
I found out through the secretary of state that Susan Briggs is the Co-Owner, Christine H Meyer and Frances Armstrong are also involved in this business. I will see if someone returns my watch and if not I'll use the phone calls to take further action. If you have trouble with these people please use the names to further your actions.

We’ve been taking our dog here for years. They all really seem to care about the dogs. Our dog seems happier when we get there than when we pick him up, even after a long trip. It’s great that he gets to swim while we’re away. The staff is friendly and helpful and they fit us in even at the last minute. Love this place! (I can’t speak to grooming - just boarding and daycare).

I don’t know what the bad reviewers are talking about. Yea, dogs pee, and they clean it up. I have taken my dog here from day 1.10 years ago, and he still gets excited to go to day care. Staff is friendly and loves the dogs. Facilities are always in progress, just like everyone and everything. I would, and have recommended Urban Tails to everyone I see who has a pet that needs boarding, day care, or grooming. Trust me, a long term client, they will take good care of your pet.

My dogs love their groomer! She is fantastic to work with, she treats them like they are her own.

I have taken my dog (lab mix) here twice for bath and deshedding. Both times when I arrived to pick her up her shedding was terrible. I had to insist and wait there for them to take her back and brush her out again. So, I waited about 20 mins or so for them to do what was supposedly already done. Disappointed.

I have been taking my border collie Max here for the past few years for grooming and he always looks so darn handsome afterwards! The staff is really friendly and Max always leaves looking great. The few times I have had to talk with the groomer, my dog is so excited to see her which makes me feel good. Their grooming prices are standard for the city of Houston.
