Amazing experience! Kelsey was supportive, and educational all the way through, best session I could have asked for!

Kelsey was so informative. I learned so much & easier ways to work with my gun with less effort on my part. I plan to go to other classes.

I took the 2 hour Basic Pistol class and 2 days later I passed the LTC qualification. Worth every penny! Kelsey was extraordinarily helpful and answered every question thoroughly with demonstrations to ensure my understanding to make me feel much safer with handguns. Plus, the digital shooting range has a variety of targets to make the range more challenging than a basic real ammo shooting range, making it so much more fun!

Fun and effective training. The instruction is tailored to each person's experience level with a hand gun. They are real guns, but set up to shoot laser targets and cycle via the CO2 cartridge which replaces the regular magazine. Safe, comfortable (indoors!), and low pressure training. I'll be back!

STOP THE PRESS! By far the most realistic simulation shooting in AUSTIN! Our date night was a complete success. Rather target practice or the zombie apocalypse; you are bound to work up a sweat! Definitely going back!

I really enjoyed the intro class. She really took time to answer all questions and showed tremendous patience while I was practicing. However, I did have to give a little of that patience back as I watched her struggle (just a bit) to tie my gun cleaner back in its knot. I gave five stars anyway.

Wow, what a great experience that was! Kelsey is so welcoming, knowledgeable, passionate and patient at the same time. Wonderful learning experience.
I definitely will be back to further my self defense abilities.

I took the Basic Pistol Foundations since I had zero knowledge on guns. Kelsey was so friendly, knowledgable and patient, and she knows how to teach the most important pieces in a vivid way. I learnt the safety rules, mindset and also skills of shooting in a handgun. I would love to continue learning with Kelsey!

My wife and I took the Basic Pistol Class - Fundamentals For Beginners & to say it was amazing does not do justice. The thoroughness of this course will make you feel confident & ready to live shoot! Prior to this experience, my gun knowledge & confidence was minimal, essentially nonexistent. After this course, both my wife & I are confident & nowhere near intimidated by handguns. If you’re looking for 10/10 beginner course, this is where you’ll find it with 10/10 instructors!

I was very impressed with not only the professionalism in which the information was shared but more importantly the interactive training that came with the instructions. Kelsey is not only knowledgeable, she is patient with those of who have a bit of fear in handling a weapon. She made feel at ease and built my confidence with the knowledge shared! Very grateful!

Highly recommend for every individual; despite your level of expertise! The non-lethal aspect of it along with simulation training is next level. You will not be disappointed. Learning safety with firearms and building quality habits that may save your life someday is paramount. Closest to the real thing and practicing you’re understanding of handling firearms in the best way possible! Being an ammo-free range, it is okay to make mistakes but also learn from your short comings, build crucial habits and becoming confident with a firearm while being completely safe. Kelsey is the greatest, most genuine person you’ll ever meet; she will challenge you and will more importantly grow with you through the entire experience. She’s an amazing instructor and has my highest respect. Practice makes perfect. Thank you for what you do!

I can't say enough positive things about this place and Kelsey. The laser screens and CO2 magazines give a great live shooting simulation and the scenarios allow you to practice situations that you'd never be able to imitate at a static shooting range.

While the zombie apocalypse and clown courses are extremely fun and takes you across 3 large screens, I find the video scenarios and walk through with Kelsey are more then worth the price of admission.

You learn so much, not only about the technical aspects and being able to practice moving and drawing from the holster, but about the mental applications as well. How fast things can escalate, what verbal cues you need to be mindful of, the importance of moving while returning fire and what is and is not a justified shot.

Whether you are an experienced shooter, or are looking to learn, Kelsey is SO patient, and kind. She is able to explain concepts without making you feel stupid or uncomfortable.

I highly recommend her to any woman, or anyone wanting to introduce their female companions to shooting. She does a lot within the community and works with Women only groups to make it a welcoming and comfortable environment.

Do yourself a favor and sign up for any and all of her courses. You will not be disappointed.

VDA was amazing and the instructor made you feel comfortable. She was very knowledgeable and was easy to work with. I have already recommended my friends and colleagues to visit for some training.

We cannot say enough good things about Kelsey and Valor Defense Academy. My husband and I took the Basic Pistol class and they class was extremely informative, fun and engaging. We left the class feeling so much more comfortable with a pistol.

Excellent experience! 5-stars. We scheduled time on a Saturday, and found that I had booked it on top of another event my son was attending. I reached out to VDA about five days before our scheduled time, and they rescheduled our time quickly and easily, as they had open slots. When my son and I visited on a Saturday morning for a two hour session, we experienced great professionalism, a unique dry-fire experience with marksmanship, home invasion discussion, and hand gun defense scenarios. I would highly recommend!

Highly recommend Valor for your firearms training. Kelsey is an extremely knowledgeable and amazing instructor. The simulation training will test your abilities and situational awareness in a safe and private environment. If you make a mistake, this is where you want to make them and get it corrected. Kelsey will make you a better and more responsible fire arms owner.
