Valvoline Instant Oil Change reviews
15 This was the first time that I have gone to Valvoline oil change. Went in there thinking that they have an office but you stay in your vehicle for an oil change and they change the transmission fluid too. Their prices for transmission fluid replacement are reasonable compare to dealerships.
Will see if everything is OK in next couple of days or weeks.
They did a great job, very time efficient, and at a good price. I'll definitely be back!
Drive right up and my car was inspected very quickly! Rob was extremely professional and friendly.
I went in during Spring Break for an inspection. Rob was incredibly welcoming and kind. I was able to sit in the car during the process and never got that weird feeling that the shop was trying to force me into buying services that I didn't need (I am specifically targeting Honda of Clear Lake and Just Brakes for doing this). This Valvoline is the closest shop to my house and I plan to continue going there for applicable services to my vehicles.
Update: Just went in again for a transmission fluid change. This is a shop that focuses on building loyal, repeat, customers rather than pushing for unnecessary services and quick money. I noticed that they also reimburse school tuition for their employees and support the armed forces. This is my official car maintenance shop!
Update: Had numerous issues with the inspection machine and a substitute inspector who failed me on slightly low brake fluid. Friendswood employees assured me that this inspector was not a regular employee at their location and offered to reinspect for free due to the inconvenience.
I took my 16 year old daughter to observe and learn how an oil change is conducted as well as the importance of getting oil changes on time. We stayed in the car during services being rendered, but the young man that took my vehicle info understood my purpose for bringing along my 16 yr old (teaching moment) and volunteered detailed information in my vehicles fluids history and the difference between synthetic blend, fully synthetic and regular oil. I appreciate the extra time and patience the entire garage crew put into my visit. I will return as long as the staff continues to operate as professional as this visit
Been taking my 4 vehicles to Vavoline Oil Change
Friendswood for years. Rob is great! He tested my
battery and sold me a new one and changed it out
in less than 15 minutes. Rob is very nice and knows
all about maintenance to engines. Not many you'll find as good as Rob. 5 Stars for Rob!
Your impact gun couldn’t loosen the lug nuts on my tires for a rotation? I do the same thing by hand at home. No excuse for my wife to be treated like that. Just because you didn’t want to do more work.
This place charges for services not provided. Watch out. This is fraud and is dangerous.
I saw another similar review. So it is not just me. Not impressed with their customer service either.
I recently brought my vehicle in for an oil change at this location and my experience was a mixed bag. The staff was welcoming and courteous, which made for a positive initial impression. Additionally, the service was prompt as there was no wait time, a convenience that I truly appreciated.
However, my satisfaction with their service stops there. After paying for the service upfront, which included a list of checks that were to be conducted on my vehicle, I was disappointed to find that these checks had not been performed. This was despite my receipt showing that all checks had received passing marks. It's frustrating because the place wasn't busy, nor were they rushed to get to other vehicles and this kind of oversight raises questions about the reliability of the services offered here.
I hope my experience was an isolated case, but potential customers should be aware of this possibility. It's crucial that a vehicle service center not only performs all the tasks they promise but also those they bill for, both for ethical reasons and for the safety of the vehicles they service.
I called and spoke to cliff and he was super nice and very knowledgeable! He even offered me a $25 dollar off coupon, so of course I had to go! When I got there I was pulled right in and they began my oil change. They were very fast and super friendly I will definitely be getting my oil changes here moving forward!
So my father in law took my truck in for a oil change. It took 35 mins and he was the only one at the time. He brought my truck back and left it in my driveway. He said service was not bad but they never checked the air. I thought that was weird they put 35 psi on my receipt. Well anyways I came out of my house and noticed oil dripping and oil in my driveway. I took it to another shop. They said the plug and filter was tight but they didn't wash down the catch tray and their was oil all over my cross bar. This was the 1st and last time I will go here. That was a rookie mistake.
Well, I just got my Jeep returned to me after taking it to 4 different shops over the course of 2 months. After taking my car here for an oil change the next morning it refused to start. It would only start on occasion. Every shop I had it towed to or was able to drive it to could not find what the problem was with the car. I was finally told at the 3rd shop that maybe I should get a new motor for $10,000 dollars.so I began car shopping. All the while having to rely on friends, family, and Uber to get around. I decided to have one more mechanic take a look at it, because it was just to weird for my perfectly healthy car to have a $10,000 problem. Surely enough this mechanic detected it had the wrong oil put in it. The oil in my vehicle was very very thick (I saved some trying to decide what my next step should be). He preformed a new oil change and my car works perfectly fine again. I spent $700 in car diagnostics + having to burn vacation time at work due to no working vehicle + almost trading my vehicle in for half the cost of what it is worth. I would not recommend this place, especially if you own a Jeep
Steven & Rob did a great job and checked everything. I don't it took more than 20 minutes.
Well done guys!
I had Rob help me today and he was amazing! He gave me discounts and was awesome. My car feels brand new. He works Sunday’s-Thursdays so go in and ask for him. He’ll set you up and make you feel like a queen.
The employees here were so helpful and got me out within like 15 minutes. I wish i would’ve asked their name to thank them. Super happy i decided to go here and not anywhere else!
