Velvet Taco reviews
17Came at 11: 15 pm and the service was pretty bad cashier had an attitude and the food was cold, you can tell it’s the end of a shift. I love velvet tacos but they just gave us a bad experience
This location never disappoints! Very good, friendly and fast service. That #kobe and chicken quesadilla, a margarita with a slice of cake, hold the sauce. OMG!
This location has been very friendly fast and the food and drinks have been amazing! Danny in the front is funny fast and super friendly definitely will continue to come back
The cashier was nice and helpful and it would have been a great experience. The fish taco was 85% to the best I’ve had since I’ve been going to velvet taco, which is above average enough to not complain, but I ordered the tater tot‘s with the over easy egg in the special sauces upon ordering this, I specifically said no bacon. The lady put it in but somewhere along the line, the kitchen dropped the ball. My tater tot came out to me, and I was sitting in the dark over in the corner by the window so I couldn’t quite see up under the egg and all of that, but when I got halfway through, I noticed there was some bacon in the bottom of the box at this time I took my order to the front where the lady looked at it and said oh my God bacon although the receipt doesn’t reflect it the order shows there was no bacon on the order. I have an eaten any pork products is 1999 due to health consciousness in my own choice not to mention some of the religion that I’ve practiced is against that as well I do not eat pork, and my stomach was hurting as I make this review I’m still debating about going to the ER or not because I don’t eat pork I’m pretty much allergic to it.
Velvet tacos is by far our favorite taco place. Our family favorite is #12 and the elote. The ingredients are always fresh and everything is made in house. The tacos are very large and filling.
Innovative Mexican tacos, prepared in an upbeat place with a cool vibe, and trust me, these were just delish
Thank you to the manager who gave it all on the house, and there was no flickering of eyelashes but simply the British accent and a very warm welcome to Mckinney.
Love this place. Menu options are great. Tried the breakfast tacos which have sausage and eggs. It was great for hangover. They also have few Indian flavored tacos. Chicken tikka is fav for lot of us. The place is open late on the weekends. You should also try the loaded nachos
McKinney Ave location should reevaluate their food prep process. Several visits lately the food has been very late.
I hadn’t been here in forever, and revisited for a late snack. Idk if it was just because I was lit or if it was just seriously that good, but I could’ve eaten 20 of the spicy tikka tacos with tofu instead of chicken. And the elote? C’monnnnn, so freaking good.
Bad experience with my girlfriend, they brought me chicken tacos, while I’m eating I found bones in my tacos, and I asked for a manager to talk
with, and guess what! No body showed up
It's good food and a good and accommodating staff. Seems like they like working there because they are always happy to serve.
First time at Velvet Tacos and its been Absolutely phenomenal experience, I just wanted to give Kylie a s/o for providing absolutely outstanding service, she went above and beyond!
Fantastic food, quick service, great drinks (try the sangrita!) and a really upbeat but relaxed atmosphere. Love the vibe at this place, and can’t fault the food! The buffalo chicken taco was the best, and the elote guac is not to be missed either.
I've been to several locations, Mockingbird, Fort worth, Addison but this one by far is the best. Great taste and portion. Really should focus a little bit more on time serving but other than that.it was great. Btw I went during late morning very early lunch and it wasn't busy to have to wait 12 minutes. But nevertheless, great experience
I heard a lot about this place in Dallas, and when I finally tried it, I fell in love with their spicy chicken tikka taco. It's super delicious! They also make a great paneer taco, which is great if you are vegetarian. If you're in Dallas, you should definitely check it out. The food is amazing and they are open late.
I had a great time at this velvet taco! The staff was friendly and my tikka chicken taco was to die for.
I visited Dallas recently and this was a restaurant that was highly recommended to me and I’m glad I listened to that recommendation because the food here is absolutely amazing and the service made me feel like I was welcomed in a city that I wasn’t too familiar with.
