Vietnam Coast Restaurant reviews
25There are places where one does and does not order certain items from the menu and this place is no exception. Let's start with the do order item and end with the do NOT order item. Do order there Vietnamese egg rolls; they are a 5/5 and the best I've had at a Vietnamese restaurant. The Pho Tai is average, I've had better and worse however it's good enough that I'd say order it if you must have beef Pho. The Tai tea is terrible however and I have never had somthing with the Tai tea name that tasted worse. I told my waiter that it tasted like how flea spray smells but he just said it's they way they've been doing it for a long time and he still charged me for the drink. I had drank about 25% of it hoping it was just clashing with somthing I had ate and really wasn't as bad as I thought it was. After the 3rd sip and still tasting flea spray I couldn't drink any more. So with the food averaging out for me and the service not being that good I probably will not be back which is a shame because the egg rolls were really good. Better luck to you if you're going to try out Vietnam Coast Restaurant.
I really like this place. Best spring rolls ever. Service is very different but excellent! You don't go here for outstanding ambiance but do go hungry, food itself is very, very good.
Not bad. Pho is what I usually get and it’s passable. Still not have been able to find Pho Satay like in Calgary or Vancouver. Fried wontons I would skip - small wontons and they had an odd flavour. It is a quiet, comfortable place to eat.
They were clean. Fast and had great customer service. The food was pretty good. I would definitely like to go back and try a few more dishes. I bought enough for three days! Thanks!
The people at Vietnam Coast have been providing my family delightful meals for over 20 years. The spring roll are fresh, light, have crisp sprouts and are just plain fabulous.
Ran in for a quick bite! That Chicken, Seafood, veggie soup, hit the spot! Wish I had ordered the large.
Very good tried the spinach with chicken for the first time and it was delicious and the customer service was on point.
I drive across town to pick up my lunch here. They serve the Vietnam Coast Tofu (crispy tofu, jalapenos, onion, with some kind of pepper sauce) in a place shaped like a row boat (no oars). I have only eaten this dish, and look forward to eating it each time it crosses my mind.
The service is amazing and the people are always smiling. It is common to see the owner behind the counter, making sure the dishes are consistent and the service is friendly.
From what I understand this place has been there forever, and in a picky eating town like Houston, their longevity speaks for itself. Visit there today, you will love it.
Excellent place for tasty vietnamese food.got there near seven, it wasn't very crowded.the place has a good atmosphere.atmosphere and food reminds me of virginia beach.
Vietnam coast is consistently a solid choice for Vietnamese food. Our favorite dish is their self named dish "Vietnam Coast" with tofu. One of the best tofu dishes in all of Houston!
If u want excellent fried Vietnanese egg rolls u wrap n lettuce, w dipping sauce, this place is for you! All dishes & soups are good as well as Peking duck to order, it is small & quaint, owner visits your table & waitstaff are good, too. Reasonably priced, self free parking.
Super place to meet and chat with coworkers. I think I might become a regular. It has a nice interior.
My husband's favorite place I love to go there always. Employees are also nice and friendly neat and clean restaurants.
I can not say enough good things about this restaurant.
My family and I have been coming here for years and the waiter already knows us and what we order!
Their food is very affordable and the service is great.
My restaurant for 23 yrs going there, food delicious, no grease, good service is chinese place with all kind of meats, love it
Place is small but puts out big flavor. The soups are good. Vietnam coast beef is the best. Tempura shrimp is also good its sweet from tempura and they have sour lemon juice to dip it in. Great!
An unassuming exterior (I think it's a remodeled Long John Silvers) and a dodgy part of town hides a true delight of a Vietnamese restaurant.
Not good there kids meal chicken hard as a rock the rice fried rice is old don’t go there sucks
This place is pretty decent and prices are cheap. The most important thing is the food is good.
Popped into tru some vegan friendly dishes. Not disapointed:). Ordered Lindas noodles and sesame tofu dish. Both where very good and tasty. I like that thêu can veganize a lót of their food options. Very Cozy, nostalgic, and kitschy atmosphere. Servers are friendly, and u get a mom n pop feel. This place ía cute. Would recommend giving it a try!
