Villa Del Mar, El Paso TX

I got the dish with several shrimp cooked different and they tasted old. If you go eat there have a steak or chicken. Sadly it's a seafood place and their shrimp were horrible.

My go to Mexican seafood place. I've been a frequent diner here for over 20 years. I've never been disappointed. Keep doing what you do.

Last time it was good. This time it didn't have a lot of flavor all the dishes. Shrimp and fish needed seasoning and salt had no flavor. Probably a different cook today but he was no good all four of our dishes needed salt n flavor except for the breaded shrimp and alfredo soup.

Kind of wrong of them to charge you twice soda beverages I a dr pepper was stale end getting a coke notice the waitress charge me for both should of been one charge I'm one not to complain when going to restaurants at least telling me if my drink was ok or something you'll have a great waiter or not so great waiter.

In El Paso for business. I was craving seafood, I went to sit down. The place was not packed. I Sat there twenty (20) minutes while other people came in and got served. No one came to serve me. So I got up and left. I'm not even going racial with this. Does it matter?

First time being there and food was horrible! Looked and tasted like if it came straight from a microwave. Service horrible had to wait when they had so many empty tables. Waiter service took forever, food took forever. Will not go back don’t recommend

The legacy of the shrimp cocktail was lost. This was the worst experience I could have had in 50 years when I ate at VILLA DEL MAR EN JUÁREZ on Calle Ferrocarril.

Food use to be better a few years ago. It wasn't what I had anticipated. The service was satisfactory.

I had not been to Villa del Mar in a while but was reminded why I always like the food and enjoy the service.

Went in for dinner with the restaurant having an adequate amount of tables. We ordered three different plates one of which was missing a main food component, the other was served on a hot plate but with cold food. Management did not want to approach the table. Lack of initiative in the service and definite lack of professionalism with management. Shame that this was a family dining spot back in the day. This place has significantly gone downhill.
Will not be coming back and do not recommend to anyone.

UNFORTUNATELY I CAN'T GIVE IT "NO STAR RATING"
What a ridiculous place. Ordered the breaded chicken with breaded shrimp. Asked for the manager and very young looking person stated he was the manager (I doubt it). The breading on the chicken was falling apart, and bare areas were visible. Same thing with the shrimp. We stated that it must have fallen off due to freezer burn.and then when fried the breading must of fallen off. Believe or Not: He stated that "Nothing in His Restaurant is FROZEN! ". I GUESS THEY MUST GO TO ASCARATE LAKE in El Paso, and fish for shrimp and fish every day to serve to their customers! How ridiculous for him to make this statement. Wonder how many boxes of frozen products we would find in their trash receptacles outside. He offered to bring us another plate, but with only shrimp. Server called him again, because the same issue occurred. He became angry and argumentative. We left, but not before they charged us for our meals!
MY GOD! NO BODY SHOULD EVER GO TO THIS PLACE! No I am not a food critic, but I do know the difference between Excellent, Good, and TERRIBLE! Food.
Bottom line: The food is Frozen, Expensive, and it SUCKS!

Was wanting to try something different and I am glad that I did. I got the grilled fish and grilled shrimp plate and it was great. Our server was awesome and the service was prompt for a busy Saturday night. They ran out of mashed potatoes so they automatically substitute them with fries and they were hot and fresh. I am glad they did. Definitely I'll stop by again.

My experience was very bad. I've been to this place for many years and this was by far the worse. I ordered bacon wrapped fish filet, filled with shrim and octopus. The octopus was missing, I sent the plate back and waitress came back saying there was octopus in there, dunno, I didnt see it.
Waitress was not refulling our drinks, ordered a beer, he forgot. Our hostess was having a bad day, seats had food crumbs and we gad to clean them, salad had too much brownish green. I asked for the manager and she sent another waitress.that was very polite/professional. Looong story.
This place used to be our family favorite and bussiness get together, definately not anymore.
WE WILL NOT BE COMEBACK TO VILLA DEL MAR in the near future, unless something drastic changes.
I hope management fixes the issues and make this place what it used to.

Service and staff very friendly but giving a 1 star based on the food. The food was very outdated and bland. I also waited at least 30 min or more for the food to be served, and it wasn’t even warm. My husbands shrimp cocktail was very sad. No flavor, no touch. It used to be the go to restaurant but it’s gotten old. I think if the chefs would put more love in their job making the food it’d make a difference but right now very disappointed.

The food was beautifully cooked and very tasty. The food is hot and well prepared. I recommend that you come to eat a good tasty seafood

I love this place but the last time we went there our waiter forgot about us. On the side, he was nice.

Less than half our members were there and the servers mentioned that they could only sit us if at least half showed up. It was 4: 30pm and the restaurant was pretty empty. They entrees took a little while and they don’t have lemons. The lobster was a little dry. The baked potato only comes with butter unless you ask for sour cream. The dish itself was good. It just wasn’t amazing. Customer service was fine and did the orders correctly. Thanks!

It's definitely one of my favorite restaurants in El Paso, TX. We celebrated my husband's birthday with our family. I loved that the waiter was very courteous and polite. I highly recommend Villa Del Mar. Thank you for making my husband's birthday a great experience
