Village on the Park Steeplechase, Houston TX

I was a former employer at VOP. This would have to be the worst place ever. Management is horrible and rude they will feed you lies and tell you what u would like to hear. I honestly believe that the care for the residents is also horrible and half of the time not safe. VOP could be such a nicer safer place for residents but they would need to replace everyone in the office with people that truly care about the residents and the employees. They like to feed residents family’s with high hopes and half of what they sell is lies and disappointment.

My parents have been living there for two years now and feel very safe. They are comfortable and have made some friends. The staff really cares about the residents and tries to make everyone feel a part of the facility. Most importantly to me, it always smells good. I would recommend VOP to anyone.

My mom moved into the independent living section of VOP Steeplechase in October 2020.
VOP Steeplechase is always impeccably clean and the meals are wonderful (my mom loves the desserts). In fact, everything at this community is first class. The staff at VOP Steeplechase are very friendly and know the residents on a first name basis.

Terri, Lorraine and Jasmine go out of their way to assist in any way that they can. It’s apparent the residents’ needs come first and they truly care and are concerned for the well-being of the residents at VOP Steeplechase.

I highly recommend Village on the Park Steeplechase.

We had to move my Mother into a Assisted living facility a few months ago. I needed something not too far away from me and was decent at the same time. I did Research checked into several places. Ended up choosing Villages On The Park Steeple chase. I have to say I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Everyone I mean everyone on the staff I have come in contact with has been kind and helpful.
Any question I have is answered without ever making me feel like a burden. I have had to call many times since this is all new to me and not once did they make me feel like it was a problem. It’s a very clean and bright place. Honestly I would recommend it to anyone.

The place is well kept and clean. Nice gentlemen working there. Wished I got the guys name that did my piercing but he was really cool and knowledgeable. Did an excellent job and good tips on do's and don'ts. Highly recommend.

Our mother was a resident here for over 8 years and I can’t say enough about the good service she was given here. The staff were always friendly and helpful. When mom became unable to travel they accommodated our family with meeting rooms for our family to meet with her. There was always plenty of activities for mom to participate in. In her final months there we had to move her to the assisted living wing. The nurses and staff were so caring and loving. Even though we were not able to visit because of the Covid lockdown I knew mom was receiving the care she needed.
To me this is the kind of facility you want to find for your elderly family members.

My mother has lived in the cottages at Village on the Park Steeplechase for over 5 years. The cottages have great 1 & 2 bedroom homes with a garage. Maintenance is excellent!

I am SO thankful that during this pandemic The Village has taken the utmost care in keeping the residents & staff safe & well. They put the utmost safety measures into place immediately. The temperatures of the residents, as well as staff, are taken daily. Due to their diligence, none of the residents have become ill with COVID.

Also, Terri, the Director, has made sure that the residents, as well as their families, receive up to date communication. These letters cover essential protocol procedures, updates on the health of the community, any community updates & encouragement. Most importantly, Terri stresses that anyone may call for anything. It is, especially stressed that if anyone is feeling lonely or sad, to please let them know.

I appreciate all that Terri and the staff have done and are continuing to do to make my mother and the other residents feel safe & well taken care of.

Our mother moved into Independent Living in October 2018. VOP has been a good place for her. It is a friendly atmosphere and they care about the residents' well being. The Director, Terri and her professional staff, work hard to make sure the residents feel heard, are happy and stay safe. The front desk team, to name a few, Joantel and Elizabeth, are courteous, caring and strive hard to help in the many ways they are needed. Juan and Andres, Maintenance staff, work hard to provide a well maintained and lovely facility. They have always been kind and willing to assist the residents and take care of any needs that they have. Holly/Activities Director is friendly and open to providing creative ways to gather the residents under this new "normal". Management has done a good job communicating each week and keeping everyone informed, which has been very helpful during these unprecedented times. We are grateful for VOP and recommend it based on our positive experiences.

I am very thankful for Village on the Park Steeplechase. My mom was one of the first to move into the new Assisted living wing over 5 1/2 yrs ago. There have been ups and downs with management over those years. Currently they have great management with Terri, executive director, and Ann, resident care director for Assistant living. They are doing a great job keeping everyone safe. The staff are so friendly and helpful for me. Receptionists/ helping front desk: Joantel, RC, Elizabeth, Morena, Holly. Med techs and aides: Charmion, Bernice, Sunny, Archie, Anna, Elaine, Ivette, Gaby, Macaula, Alondra, and more.so many wonderful and caring employees. Thank you for helping me with my mom in this chapter of her life.

My mother started in Assisted Living and moved to Independent Living shortly thereafter. The staff in both areas have been extremely friendly and helpful. The VOP staff have all worked to make sure we are settled, comfortable and happy with our mother's new home. They are always smiling and willing to help and we are comfortable that our mother is safe and looked after when we are not there. We are so pleased with our choice of this community for her golden years.

First time I attended the dinner dance at the Village last Thursday, Feb. 20th. I'm impressed with the quality of the facility. It's immaculate. I'm very well treated by the courteous and friendly staff. Lorrraine, Holly were super in welcoming and entertaining visitors like me. The whole evening was fun and had a positive impact on me. I tip my hat off to the Village organization. Thank you for such wonderful evening.

I have had very positive experiences here. There are activities for ever interest and are options on activities throughout the day.

Can't say enough good things about this facility, and everyone that works there. They are awesome! Moved our 92 year old mother in there, and it's been a blessing. The food is great and they always have activities and things going. In todays environment it's comforting and nice to find a facility that really cares about their residents. Great place.
