Village Shoe Shop, Houston TX

I ordered a pair of Birkenstock work shoes and paid almost $100. They would take several weeks to fill the order but I trusted them. I called couple times and on the last call, almost six months later, they say they have no record of me ever ordering them and paying in advance. I order from Amazon now.

I visited the Village Shoe Shop to get some assistance in purchasing the right shoes for my mother overseas who has lymphedema. Edie took the time to talk me through the best options for my mum, and spent time with me even though I was going to have to look online for the best option. Fantastic customer service and I’ll be using their service for my shoe needs going forward!

Called & gave exact details for small tear I needed repairded in very unique rare collector's shoe, which they promised they could. Showed up during posted hours, store was closed. Came back next day, & while inspecting the small tear, the employee actually tore off the entire piece of my shoe. I was in shock. Then was told they can't do repairs on my shoe type & refered me to a store down the street (that doesn't even do repairs). I walked out & cried. A small blemish became a complete destruction.

I've been a customer here for 20 years, with good reason. They do great work and admirably, they FIX THEIR MISTAKES. I recommend Village Shoe Shop to all of my friends. I've had shoes and handbags altered or repaired here and they always do a great job.

I just brought my Jordan 4s to this place after discussing a small tear in the wing with one of the workers. They said they were familiar with the shoes, could replace the wing, and stitch a new one in. I brought my shoes in, the woman proceeded to rip the entire wing off the shoe and said "that was going to happen eventually", handed it back to me and said she couldn't help me and to go to a place down the street. This place misrepresented their services and ruined my $500 shoes. Absolutely disgusted.

Edie and her team are the best. I live in Tomball and ive been driving down to her shop for 14 years. Work shoes, dress shoes, sneakers, sandals, and boots. Ive had a chance to see other craftsmanship and no one compares to the Village Shoe Shop. Look no further.

I had a traumatic foot amputation and quickly needed shoes that would accommodate my foot and prosthesis. Edie found a shoe that would work. Thankfully there was not much trial and error because the foot was already aggravated. Thank you

I’m so grateful I found this place, I have been suffering severe pain due to my job which requires me to stay on my feet for over 12 hours a day. I have bern using the shoes they tailored for me for a couple days and I have seen great results. I hope to continue see improvements.

Edie at the shop was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She did a thorough examination of both my partners feet and gait and my own and provided recommendations that made sense for us. We love to run a lot and are very active and excited to have knowledge to get the shoes. My fiancé ended up getting orthotics and excited to see if it helps her foot pain!
