Vinyl and their crew are absolutely fantastic! They removed my dip powder and replaced it with a healthier nail builder that looks and feels amazing!

Incredible salon. Not only are the artists great at what they do but the vibe of the place is so unique and fun. The cocktails are a creative and classy touch, as are the vinyl records for sale and all the amazing natural products. They helped me grow my nails out with builder gel after being an avid nail biter for years. No harsh chemicals but still great results. There’s no place in Austin like Vinyl.

I didn’t get the stylist I wanted. They were out sick. But I calmly allowed someone else to cut my hair. I’m not sure about it but I’m trying to make it work.

Ali is amazing! Her work is impeccable! She ensures that my nails are healthy, while looking great! Everyone at the salon is kind and welcoming! I always leave with a fresh set of nails and a smile on my face!

I booked the Johnny Cash pedicure with Ali and had a great time. Her work and the house products are quality, and the shop's combination of pampering, music and art shopping, and bar service make for excellent self-care. Tried the Mexican martini and really enjoyed it. Many thanks to a very friendly and helpful staff.

This place is so cute! Toni does my hair and she always does such an amazing job. I also got my wedding nails done there and Chris nailed it.

I’ve been looking for an all natural nail salon in Austin and this place was PERFECT! Relaxed cool Austin atmosphere, wonderful complimentary cocktails/beverages, vegan products, salon pup named Dolly, and best of all I didn’t leave with a headache from chemical smells. Also, my nails artist Chris was a gem, really friendly and talented—will absolutely be going back!

Went for one manicure, which was just ok. It peeled off after 2 weeks and it was uneven. Despite that, I decided to give them another try to see if it was a fluke. However I came down with Covid the day of my appointment and called to reschedule, at which time they told me that I would be charged the full amount regardless. As I started to told her that it was an unsafe and unfair policy she just hung up on me.

When I got my manicure, the employees were gossiping about the bad management and she told me she was leaving because they wouldn’t give her a raise. Overall weird experience and would recommend finding a place that treats people better, customers and employees.

I had an AMAZING experience with Kylie at Vinyl. We had a consultation at the beginning of the appointment where I explained a little of what I thought I wanted, and then just let Kylie work her magic. She offered ideas for the color/style we could do, and the final result was amazing. Obsessed with this place and so happy I have finally found a go-to hair salon!

Toni does amazing coloring, highlighting with my hair. She knows how to cut my thick, curly hair and give me great style that is always complimented by others.

Picture it: you don’t need to pretend to like your haircut when the stylist asks, “so what do you think? ” Such is the experience at Vinyl. I’d never (truly never) had a haircut I liked until I started going to Kylie for my curls. I knew she was good when during my haircut on Saturday (my 3rd at Vinyl) I starting worrying about what I would do if Kylie ever left. So, as much as I’d like to keep my spot a secret I’d be doing the good readers of reviews a disservice. Run, don’t walk, to book a haircut at Vinyl. Just leave one spot in Kylie’s book for me!

Kate is absolutely gifted. I keep coming back because we collaborate on my nail art designs and she just keeps blowing it out of the water. She suggested nail builder and it was the best idea. My nails are growing strong and healthy. Also the cuticle care is top-notch. I love my monthly visits with Kate along with the monthly cocktails. And Ali, she's just such a beautiful soul. The nail art between these two ladies is worth the visits.

Where else can you go to have a relaxing drink of your choice while having your hair cut, colored or both; and/or have a manicure, pedicure or both? And all the while listening to some great music? There's only one answer: VINYL Beauty Bar! ️ ️

Excellent cut, style and scalp treatment. I got there early for a craft beer and to look at Vinyl. Great service and good vibes all around.

I love the chill vibe and rockin’ decor. Great tunes are always in rotation and they are quick to offer a beverage when you sit down for a pedi, which feels nice and relaxing. My nail tech Kate did a wonderful job and was fun to chat with. My new go-to spot for nail and other beauty needs! Love the Vinyl Beauty Bar.

Greta experience every time I come in. Everyone is so friendly and I always love my nails afterward. I usually get the apres full set or gel builder depending on where I am in my nail journey.

Vinyl Beauty is fantastic. From the staff to the environment, you will be sure to have a good time. I started coming during the pandemic because they offered outdoor haircuts and appreciated that they put safety first. Since then, I have been hooked. Kylie is wonderful! Her haircuts are spot on and her color is perfect. At times, I may not know what I exactly want but she has a vision and executes it perfectly!

And we must not forget their cocktails! Wow! They truly put thought into creating unique beverages that make for an enjoyable time. From the music, the conversation, the services - you will not be disappointed.

Worst Pedicure Polish I have ever had! I am a previous client in this salon. I considered this my favorite beauty salon. Last experience was a 10/10. The service I had this time was a 0/10! I scheduled my appointment for 5: 15 online weeks prior to the date. I scheduled for a selena manicure and pedicure which includes a bunch of deluxe feature. I had to ask to get out of work early to commute 35 minutes south to make it on time for the appointment. I was on time! I got there let her know that I wanted to get shellac manicure on my hand and if possible maybe a small design. She said I have no time for that, if you get shellac, I wont include a message! I am not a confrontational person so stayed quiet. She went ahead and started my pedicure. A pedicure that is $75 dollars worth should be a relaxing experience. She was so quick to put scrub and oil and put on heat tower for 20 seconds. She took so long painting my nails, she would smudge paint all over and would clean up around my nail every 5-10 seconds. Finally finished and did not put cuticle oil or cream. I hated the finish on the polish, but again stayed quiet. Finally she moved on to my hands. She did not go in with the "rose" water like described on the website and how I have gotten it before. She proceeded to push my dry cuticles ans cut them. It was so painful but again said nothing. She again went ahead and painted my nails and smudged all over and was cleaning with brush every 5-10 seconds. I thought shellac would be much quicker, but I guess not. Once done she slathered oil and quickly dried them out with hot towel. She did not add cuticle oil nor gave me a massage like stated for the selena manicure. I go ahead and go to pay and they wanted to charge me for the full service I did not receive. I of course paid tip, but I will no longer be a customer to this salon. The service was fantastic before, dont know what happened.

Vinyl Salon was such a nice surprise during my trip to Austin. They were able to accommodate my last minute request by chance and did an amazing job with a express gel mani, pedi, and then squeezed me in to curl my hair for a wedding that night all at the last minute. The owner Michael was very friendly and he also sells vinyls, crystal essence candles, essential oil products, etc. The vibe is super cozy funky and boho vibe colorful with a Dolly Parton shrine on the wall. Ali did an awesome job with my nails and my hair looked awesome for the wedding. I'd definitely recommend going here and I hope to return on my next trip back to Austin!
