Virtuosa GYN, San Antonio TX

I was so happy to find this group.until the billing started to fluctuate. From one appt to another the office charges continued to change while having the same conversation about Menopause/Hormone replacement. They even submitted a code for a longer virtual meeting, which it was longer because the provider was late to the appt? !? This is unethical billing practices and I have reported this group to UHC for padding the bills. Be aware and watch your bills. They have lost a customer over this.

Whatever they tell you, get a second opinion. I will forever regret trusting Dr. Crockett, Michelle Self, and her whole team. They are incompetent and should not be allowed to practice.

How do I begin. I am forever thankful for the care I received from Dr Crockett, she is one of a kind. I am a 50 yr old, super plus size body that needed a hysterectomy due to a very large ovarian cyst and other uterine issues. She literally held my hand through the entire process, her bedside manner is superb. She was very sensitive and honest about the risk a person of my size and age were. She has been nothing but caring and cautious every step of the way. I am 3wks post op and can’t believe how great I feel. Dr Crockett is heaven sent. Thank you Dr Crockett I am eternally grateful and your staff is exceptional.

Michelle Self was the NP that saw me. I felt very comfortable with her. She listened to me and addressed all my concerns. She has a great manner with patients and I felt a lot of confidence in her. Would definitely recommend her.

Virtuosa is my new go-to OBGYN. I saw Michelle for my ultrasound and then a different Michele for my results and they were both so nice and are some of those rare healthcare professionals that actually feel like are listening.

After having been to another provider and treated horribly, I was extremely hesitant to go to Virtuosa GYN. But from the moment I walked into the office, the front staff, the medical assistants, and the NP that helped me were so kind and friendly. Michelle was so empathetic and the other lady who did my sonogram (I cannot remember her name, sorry!) were so understanding and tried to explain everything so well to me. The Medical Assistants were also very kind and I felt extremely comfortable there. I strongly and highly recommend Virtuosa to any women, whether you are having issues or not, because they truly care and the empathy they have is what makes the experience more incredible. I am definitely going to go back there for everything going forward. Thank you ladies!

I have been a patient at Virtuosa GYN for at least 5 years. I had an annual exam with Dr. Nunley in October 2021. I also needed a refill for my HRT. The refill was sent in electronically so Ididn't realize that it was for only 1 month. I was told by staff that i must have a mamogram in order to receive any refills. I followed through with the mamogram and informed the office so they would send in the additional refills. In the meantime, I was billed for them submitting the prescription. I received one 90day supply. I just called their office to ask for the refills for the remainder of the 12 month supply and was told that since Dr. Nunley is no longer with the practice I must schedule another appointment, pay another copay plus I am sure pay for writing another prescription. Well, Dr. Nunley was the only reason I stayed at this practice. There are plenty of GYNs in San Antonio. I am sure I can find the compassion and professionalism that i did NOT receive here.

Hi everyone I would love to share my greatest experience with Dr. Crockett Susan and Staff. I have been seeing them for 2 years after leaving another doctor's for 9 years, the treatment I got with Dr. Crockett and staff has been better and I feel very comfortable with them. The office is very welcoming and the staff is always nice to me. I'm happy that my primary doctor has sent me to Dr. Crockett. I had a hysterectomy with her on December 10th of 2021, and everything went well thanks to Dr. Crockett. So I will refer everyone to her, she is a lovely doctor and always talking to you with her beautiful smile and explaining everything clearly and no matter how much questions you asked her, she answered all nicely. Thank you Dr. Crockett and Staff.

Dr Nunley is the best doctor! She spends time with her patients and explains everything thoroughly. Her compassion shows!

First time going to this place and I felt so welcomed! Great staff and Dr. Lunley is exceptional! Definitely recommend it.

Dr. Laneman was fantastic, but the billing was completely disappointing. My insurance allows preventative exams at no cost, but because I was told to come into the office to review results a few days later, they billed it as an office visit not related to my yearly exam. I was not expecting a bill when this was all related to the same thing. Be VERY aware and ask before you come in for follow ups so you don’t see a surprise bill.

The wait was a little long but the doctor was personable and friendly.
She stayed and went over test results at length.

Dr Nunley and Dr Crockett are 2 of the best Doctors I have ever had. Funny, down to earth, kind, and willing to spend as much time as you need to discuss concerns and care. The whole staff at Virtuoso are superb.

I call for a new patient appointment set up, and no one answers the phone, and the options on the automated system just keeps looping and looping and you can get in contact with anyone? What’s up with that?

I recently became a patient of Dr Nunley's after a friend had recommended a colleague in her practice. Although the location is far for me, it is worth the drive. Dr Nunley talks as much time as needed to make sure that all of my concerns are covered. In my case, I am getting older, and there is a lot to discuss about imminent changes and specifically how they affect my chronic illness and my mental health. I have had a hard time finding a doctor who is able to link their specialty with other health concerns and am delighted to find a doctor who can do that. I am heard, I am cared for, I am given time, my concerns are addressed. I would also note that the office staff are all equally courteous and professional. That always reflects well.

Today was the best appt that I've ever had at this location. It was on time, it was fast and most of the staff was friendly.

The office staff is very nice. Dr Nunley is the best, very informative and cheerful. She gives you all her attention.
