Please don’t put your loved in this nursing home. They do not follow state guidelines. Both my parents were here. My father was not taken care of during his end of life and they would not let family or hospice in to take care of him. Food is terrible and they are not always fed until 9: 00 at night. Their workers do not answer the phone and also steal personal belongings.

I am an Life Enrichment Coordinator at the Vista Ridge. It’s been a pleasure working at Vista Ridge bringing excitement and creating activities to meet the needs of each resident has challenged me with the ability to think outside the box by continuing communication with families through window visit and portal connections via Facebook messenger. Our facility is free from Covid-19. Staff is doing a GREAT job with handling safety precautions to keep residents safe and healthy during this time.

My brother entered VR a few weeks ago after a week in hospital. He was very ill, couldn't walk, and had some severe cognitive deficits. Admittedly, we got off to a shaky start, as he didn't have health insurance and COVID had a profound influence on our ability to communicate and understand the terms of his stay. But once we got over that hump, I have to say I am very pleased with the care and attention my brother is getting. The PT and OT folks are up to the challenge, the social worker, Jessica has been wonderful, and Melisa in Admissions has been a godsend. If you have been affected by COVID outside of a medical facility, imagine for one minute how much more stress is involved when you have to go to work every day knowing that if the illness penetrates the facility patients will die and you could be at high risk as well. All things considered, I am convinced that this was the right place for my brother and that he is safe and cared for right now. I don't think they could be trying harder to deliver care to their patients during this extremely difficult time.

Vista Ridge truly delivers the highest quality care. The staff is accommodating and kind and the facility is beautiful. They have been keeping everything sanitized and clean. I am impressed with the extra precautions that they have been implementing over the past few months. The management have kept the residents and families well informed. The rooms are clean and they are dedicated to resident wellness.

I Brought my mom here after a hospital stay and they treated her with kindness and dignity. She was in for rehab. The nurses were very attentive to her The Whole staff really. The PT department was fantastic. Vincent was so good with my mother and got her up and walking strong enough to go home. I am very pleased with everyone I met. The aadministration staff was very informative about the process and the social worker was so helpful they this difficult time for my family. I would highly recommend this place.

My experiences with Jennifer the social worker and the 2 nurses named Irene were excellent. All three of these ladies were very professional, kind and considerate to my friend Shirley Burk who was their patient. They also helped me get through that very trying time. I would recommend Vista Ridge nursing and rehab Center to anyone. I would just hope that you would have the pleasure of working with these three amazing women.

This is supposed to be a rehab center. How can one rehab when their walker disapears from their room. Staff promises to replace.but to no avail. Maybe try again tomorrow.

Walker was returned. Thank you Brenda for the follow up e-mail!

Derrick, Neesie, Deborah, Angela, Stephanie, Mary, Grace, and so many others were so good at taking care of both of my in-laws. Their loving and serving hearts are so appreciated. We know they took really good care of them. The social worker Jennifer was always there for the family and really helped them in some difficult times.

My mother had a stay in the hospital. When she was released, Vista Ridge Nursing was suggested as a place for her to go. All of the staff have been very polite, professional, and helpful. Jennifer is the social services director and has provided expert guidance thru my mother's stay. The administration staff come by almost every day. The building is very clean and the food looks delicious.

By far the best place for therapy! Excellent experience and staff that really care. No place is perfect but these folks go over and above to try and accommodate.

This seemed to be more a nursing home than anything and that's the state the majority of the patients appeared to be in. Their physical therapy is EXCE;NT and DEDICATED, however.

My first suggestion is to put the rehab patients in one hall or halls together, as listening to the poor folks crying out 24 hrs.a day was extremely depressing to me.

I also would suggest giving new patients written information about when they will get showers, how to successfully switch from meals in one's room to the dining room, etc. I felt the majority of the staff was very nice and extremely kind, although not all of the late night staff knew what medications could be given and not, at least in my case, which caused unnecessary pain and discomfort.

The cleanliness seemed very good and they tried hard to meet requests.

This place looks pretty nice from the outside.but once you have a loved one living there, you learn a whole lot different. They aren't caring, or very clean. My mother in law is in this place, basically at their mercy. She can't use her hands or walk. They close her door (she can't use the call button) nor can they hear her if she tries to holler for help. They don't bathe her daily, when they bring her food tray, they either feed her too fast, poke her w/the fork, or too big bites where she almost chokes. Or, they leave the tray & don't come back in to feed her until 9: 00 pm. They bring it to her @ 4: 00 pm. Close this Hell Hole Down! I've been a CNA, & I would never dream of treating any patient this way. & Guess what folks.this is the kind of treatment you/I can look forward to.
