VitalPet - All Community Animal Hospital, Porter TX

Been there many times in the past but most recently was for my cat. Randi did so well with her and took great care of her. She was very informative about what was going on with her at all times and very detailed about the specifics. I will definitely be bringing my animals back here, and definitely requesting Randi every time! Thank you guys for all that you do.

We have a new puppy and so far, we have been very pleased with how they've taken care of our puppy.

Charlie, the vet tech, was comforting and knowledgeable during my visit and she was understanding that I was crying. Dr Janick was thorough with his assessment and explained everything in detail. Both were very gentle with my dog. We also got very clear discharge and follow up instructions from the doctor and tech. I will be bringing my precious girl here from now on.

I have brought my pets to this facility for almost 10 years. I initially visited upon recommendation of a family member. Dr. Janik and Dr. Otto have always been very knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. Recently, however, they have added new doctors and staff and it seems it’s beginning to really decline. I called to schedule a neuter for a kitten I have recently rescued and the front desk staff could not even find any record of me or any of the animals I have brought there in the past 10 years. When I finally got it scheduled, I asked for a quote on the estimated cost. I was only given a ridiculous range that spanned from $60 to $260 with no explanation as to why it was a $200 range. Thinking I would get a better estimate closer to the date I went ahead and scheduled. Even the day before, I had to call and ask again for the cost. Again, the front desk staff wanted to brush me off and said they would go over the cost with me the day of. I finally got an estimate the day of when I dropped him off (which, by the way was still $36 less than the actual bill- but at least it wasn’t a $200 difference). I was told they usually let them go home around 4: 00 and that they would contact me to let me know how he did and when I could pick him up. It was after 3: 00 and I still had not heard from them. When I called to check on his status and ask why I had not heard from them, I was offered no explanation or apology. I was merely told he was fine and I could come get him. When I arrived to pick him up, I paid and stood there waiting for another 25 minutes before he was brought out to me. I am really disappointed and will be looking to make a change.

Love this place! Very patient, they explain everything and give good care to animals. One of the most affordable vets I have found in Houston's NE area and considering they are also a hospital, that says volumes! They have care of all our pets.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. We called this morning to ask if we could bring our Pit in for vaccines, and the lady who answered said to bring him on in. We did just that. We told her we had to take him to training at 2p and she assured us that we would be out before then. WHAT A LIE. They made us wait outside with him, because apparently he is "too aggressive. " A technician came outside, and gave our dog a pill to sedate him. We waited for nearly TWO HOURS before being told that "they don't have enough techs to give vaccinations and it wouldn't be another hour before we were helped. " All we got was a sedated dog. Why make us wait? Why not tell us that from the very beginning? This place has been nothing but horrible. We will definitely not be coming back.

I moved to the area 5 months ago and was given VitalPet as a great reference for our pets. I used them for 3 dogs - one with allergies, one with a paw infection and the last one a 17 yr old with dental work. I have been extremely satisfied with the entire staff and the length to which they will go for your animals! I highly recommend VitalPet!

Everyone was very nice. It was the busiest I had ever seen. I saw nurse Shelby she was great. She answered all my questions. Dr. Bird was very sweet was able treat my Sophie with great care.
Sophie is feeling much better and that means so much to my husband and I.

We love Dr. Byrd, she is the best! I only want my pups to see her.
Dr. Byrd found my pups heart murmur, she was able to perform an ultrasound to confirm her Diagnosis. Dr. Byrd came into the room and showed me the ultrasound pic's and went over the ultrasound extensively. We started my pup on heart med which she is doing good on.
Five stars to Dr. Byrd and the staff.

I love taking my cat to All Community Animal Hospital! Dr Otto, as is his entire office staff, is very caring, knowledgeable and conscientious. Highly recommend!

The vets and vet techs are great. The cost is never outrageous.it is reasonable compared to other animal hospitals. Dr Otto is awesome! However, the front desk and the administration side of things leaves something to be desired. Maybe they are always just overwhelmed but it always seems disorganized. Get passed that and the vets are worth it.

Thank you for all you do! You have been fantastic with all my dogs over the past several years, even through the most difficult of choices. Dr. Otto is the absolute best and has a heart of compassion. The office staff has been good as well helping to coordinate anything that I have needed.

I had the turkey burger it was all good with the exception of the turkey Patty; it was chewy, and I didn't like how it smelled. The fixings were good and the onion rings were good.

Babe had many tumors removed from her belly and one from her eyelid. She's doing great. The staff is great and so is the doctor. I won't take Babe anywhere else.

It's very upsetting to make an appt, arriving 10 minutes prior and having to wait 42 minutes before being called back with your sick pet. I can understand if there's an emergency, but this happens each time I visit! Dr. Janik is the best, but would be appreciative if his staff would book appts accordingly.

My dogs are always treated well by all staff. Staff is courteous and professional, friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere. My dogs are always happy to go to the Vet, weird as it seems. Highly recommend.
