I'm so happy with the home care aide service provided. My mom had Amanda C as her aide when our private caregiver was ill. The 1st day I explained my mom's care etc.and Amanda was good to go. The week she attended to Mom was great. Compassionate, empathetic and knowledgeable care was provided. Our private caregiver was out a 2nd time. I called and requested Amanda and was delighted she was available for the assignment. My family is blessed to have her as part of our journey with Vitas.

Nurse Juana was really great! She has a great bedside manner, as this is huge to emotional families and scared patients. She was always available to call and text. I’m really glad she was a part of our journey. I also appreciate the virtual visit when we had questions and last the sweetest nurse that came to clean and dress my mom the day she passed. She was such a gentle soul, and I could feel her care and sensitivity for our family.

Vitas Hospice and Palliative Care met a huge need we had when my 100-year old father became be-bound in September 2023. He required wound care and medical equipment that was not available otherwise. The Vitas nurse, Jae, did a superb job of establishing a relationship with my dad and attended to him consistently and professionally twice a week or more until his passing in January. Always with a loving, compassionate attitude, Jae sought out the right solutions to my dad's changing needs with help from the vast Vitas staff resources. Her communication within Vitas and with our family was consistent and timely. The Vitas team also covered grooming and bath duties. Jae and Vitas were a terrific partner in caring for my dad during his last months with us. I would highly recommend Vitas and Jae as an organization and individual as professional caregiving experts. They went above and beyond the call of duty!

Sabina Mahone provides exceptional care.

I would like to give a very special thank you to VITAS HEALTHCARE Rev. Dr. Alberto Magana D. Min, M. Div. BCC for their participation in the Fall 2023 Dementia Care-Partner Support Group. The sessions were so helpful, really opened my eyes to many things and helped me see I am not alone in the journey. Rev. Magana's patience, kindness and understanding made me feel welcomed and comforted.

I cannot say good enough things about Vitas. The care my Dad received was beyond what we expected (we switched companies mid-way through his hospice care and expected similar to the previous company). Dawn and Miss T were excellent - caring, smart, knowledgeable, to the point but still personable. They not only cared for Dad, but they care about my brother's and my well-being. His social worker, Grace. She is just an absolute ray of sunshine and brought him so much peace and joy.

The night of his passing they were quick and efficient, while still being thoughtful. Chaplain Stephanie showed up so quickly and stayed with us throughout the whole process. It's been a month now and they have continued to reach out to make sure we are doing okay in the grieving process. The Chaplains are available to speak to for a year after passing, in case you need someone to talk to.

As mentioned before, we were with another company. The switching process was quick and easy. After my initial call, they were out the next day for intake and the following day the nurse was there. During intake, they found a chest infection the previous company missed - meds delivered before intake was completed! The care and attention we received was just. Beyond words. Highly recommend.

Vitas Chaplain Magana lead a Dementia Caregiver Workshop for families that have the tough job of caring for a loved one with dementia. His wisdom and heart is just amazing!

I called them to help with my mom who has Alzheimer’s and had a recent illness. She had stopped eating after the illness. They came promptly and got her signed up. All the nurses (especially Taresa) have been helpful and kind. They sent an aide to help mom get a shower. She has also been very kind. They also sent a social worker who has been helpful and a chaplain. My mom fell this week. I called Vitas as previously instructed. They sent the paramedics and Taresa came right away. Thankfully mom wasn’t hurt. I told my husband if I need hospice care I want Vitas to do it!

Vitas has been assisting me in my wife’s care for more than three months. Their personal care from nurse Taresa has always been the best possible and their supply of materials is over abundant. Additionally Vitas has advised and encouraged me in the needed end of life issues. They have been a rich blessing to our family.

Nurse Taresa & nurse aide Yessica are wonderful, thoughtful and have given valuable service and counsel.

Betty is my brother's nurse and is a caring and compassionate person. This is a difficult time and her kind and gentle care has made it so much easier on my brother. She is knowledgeable about care and is very helpful with answering all of our concerns.

Vitas has been so incredibly helpful and caring throughout the in-home hospice process. Betty Smiley, our nurse, goes above and beyond to help, give advice or offer a shoulder to cry on. Armella and Chaplain Daniel are also an amazing support system offering continued comforting care.

My experience with Vitas was life-changing, seeing my grandmother’s health declining to getting their assistance and feeling the unconditional love I felt from her as a kid again made me want to go about applying to the job myself. “Yessica “ & “Juana “ have been pivotal in helping my grandmother, feel comfortable, clean, and well taken care of their services will be greatly appreciated for a lifetime. Thanks from feeble to functioning all thanks to your company.
