Historic bridge with a nice park around it. There's an observation platform nearby for photos on the river, the Doris Miller memorial and a Vietnam veterans memorial among other things to see. More than just a bridge.

Nice bridge offering views and sculpture. The day we visited, the bridge served as the finish line for a triathlon.

Great for a quick stop to stretch your legs. There is free street parking all along both sides of the road on the South side of the bridge. If that is full, then use the parking lot South of the hotel there.
There is a small park and access to the river walk here. Public restrooms and water fountain on the South side.

Love this spot! Took my kids there before they flew back to the west coast. They thought it was great too.

The Waco Suspension Bridge is a historical landmark and a popular tourist location here in Waco Texas. It was originally built around 1869 and it recently went through renovations. The bridge is now finally open again to the public and it looks even more beautiful than before. This spot is excellent to take pictures and to enjoy the view of the Brazos River and Cameron Park. This is a pedestrian only bridge, so you can freely walk around and enjoy the views.

The bridge looks fantastic in the park, it makes it more interesting. Unfortunately for me, it was in the final stage of remodeling and I couldn't cross it, but that didn't stop surprising me.

Very nice peaceful place for the 1st time here and enjoyed myself. Yet the day was super hot it read 102° that was there for like 1 hour about 5ish left and returned abt 8ish was still hot but a bit breezy. Nice place to take some pics and just sit and soak in the sun. Nice history on this, too. You will enjoy and I think they also have kayaks for rent. Not sure how much but I know they do and the lake cruise as well.

Nice piece of history. The area was very clean and beautiful. Couple homeless people hanging around, but they were very friendly.

Nice place for evening strolling at the edge of downtown Waco. There is an history involved with this bridge that I found interesting and hence attached in the photos. This bridge is no longer used for traffic rather it’s open for visitors. It connects to the riverwalk through stairs as well as ramps. Bridge entrance is nicely adorned with sculptures which makes this place more attractive. Free street parking available and restaurants are just around the corner. I don’t remember any restroom onsite but there is a picnic spot and restroom just 5 minutes walk down the riverwalk near Doris miller monument.

This is a historical place in waco. It has great look and a good place for afternoon walk. It is located in the downtown waco. The river looks very attractive from the bridge. This bridge shares history of this old town. There’s a hiking trail beneath it which goes up to the Cameron park and named as river trail. Parking and restrooms are available. Attaching both day and night views of the bridge.
