Walmart Neighborhood Market, San Antonio TX

Wanna get stared at by staff and customers while you try to use self checkout to scan $200 worth of groceries? This is the place! I understand that Walmart isn’t paying a living wage and that contributes to no cashiers but for some reason they alllll came out to help others after I started scanning my items. The man who was directing the cashiers to open their registers happened less than a minute after I started scanning. The only difference between me and everyone else is that I had more product. And sure if this was a one time situation I wouldn’t be complaining.but it happens to me and my partner all too often (when we do our biweekly grocery shopping). I’d go somewhere else but you all know how San Antonio drivers are at 8pm on a Saturday night…best to stay in the neighborhood. Anyways.get it together Walmart! Hire someone who knows how to direct the flow of customers better and you’ll have a much better score.

This is one of the cleaner stores that Walmart has in our area. Easy access, nice neighborhood, selection is pretty good too.

If a register is card only, it needs to be marked so that people don't get in line mistakenly. Same for cash only. The employee today thought it was good enough that there was a tiny message on the cash register screen. Do better Walmart. Full disclosure, I was third in line behind two cash customers in an unmarked card only line.

I heard so much about Sonia in these reviews and was looking foreward to finally seeing her in action but something else happened. I pulled up and went inside and locked eyes with HIM and thats when I knew.

Devon is one COOL DUDE! Went ABOVE AND BEYOND and not only did he help shop with me and help load up my ride, the guy rode home with me and put my groceries away, did my taxes, cleaned my house, and agreed to watch my dog on the weekend when I go out and party. WHAT A GUY! Deserves a big fat raise! 10/10 will shop forever with Devon.

I I used to work there And from an employee's perspective you guys need to be patient in line and be easier on them they deal with alot

Does anybody have the same problem trying to pay with credit cards, I have this problems every single week, and nido y in that store seems to care about it, I use this store for convenience because I live 2 blocks away, sadly I’ll start driving a little bit more to go to H‑E‑B, representative Tanya did absolutely nothing.

I do not like that they usually only have ONE checkout open, if that, and most customers have to use the self service checkouts

I was just there & the lines were backed up into the aisles. Not enough clerks on check out. Not all of the self scans open. Not good

My card was over charged about $70 when I went there around 10: 30am.
I called the store (one Manager was out sick and the other was out of town).
Karen said she’d do her best to investigate.within 15min she called me back and we cleared the issue.
THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Most people at this location are awesome… Some of the kids are a little in the mindset of they don’t really care about their job obviously, I say to that find a different job. … But it’s people like Karen that make me want to continue being a patron of/shopping at this location.

Smaller version of Walmart and very close to SeaWorld. Ideal for that last minute stop to pick up sunscreen before a day at the park

A little mom and pop grocery store straight out of a Hallmark film. It's still a Walmart but you don't have to walk at 10k to find your groceries. They even had clearance ice cream which is actual proof that there is still good in the world.

The Walmart neighborhood market that I visited was very kind and compassionate this is one of the better store that I like to visit they usually have a very good clearance section and have really good discounts on a lot of their bakery items the staff is very friendly and helpful and the ladies upfront at self check out our nice and courteous as well at times it can be a little tedious just like any Walmart they don’t have enough check stands open but I tell you what if they had as many people wandering around the stores with They’re blue Walmart aprons upfront on registers it wouldn’t be as tedious standing in line

Unfortunately they barely had any groceries. But whT do u expect in Texas after a major winter event and still in pandemic

I love this neighborhood WalMart. It is very convenient and always clean. Everyone is friendly. I am tired of the local media always singing praises of the, not-to-be-named, competition and not even mentioning Walmart. Walmart has better prices and I know for a fact this Walmart treats its employees well. Thank you. You deserve a lot of praise!

Got what we were after, but some what concerned that aot of products are under lock and key. Reinforced by opened boxes with items missing.stock shrinkage must be an issue! /?

Great customer service workers are very friendly and greeter is very cheerful and greets every customer that comes in and is very cautious and reminds customers to wear masks

Always clean and always stocked.cashier's are always cheerful.
This is a pretty much a great way to shop, in and out quickly.

As of Nov. 4 2020 they had lots of diapers, about 1/2 the normal amount of toilet paper, disinfectant sprays, but no wipes (in the evening). Weird to post about, but there you go.

Great place to get onto and out of quickly without a lot of traffic or hoi polloi. A quick diversion on my way home from work when I don't feel like fighting into and out of the larger shopping areas.
