Walmart Pharmacy, Austin TX

I have never had a pharmacy be so blatantly unhelpful and unethical. Every customer is an inconvenience to them. They lied and said they talked to my insurance company to sort out the issue and there wasn’t anything they could do. I called my insurance company and Walmart Pharmacy didn’t call, and during said conversation I fixed the “misunderstanding” and had to go back to get the rest of my prescription. If this was a one time experience, I would have shrugged it off, but I have given plenty of opportunity to prove otherwise and have resulted in additional rude encounters.

The issue was filling a 3 month supply vs 1 month. This wasn’t a complex problem.

If I could give a no star review, I would. If I could get my prescription refills from a junkie living under an overpass that mugged me upon every encounter, this would be a better experience than having to go back to this Walmart pharmacy ever again. Seriously.

The core Pharmacists and Pharmacy Techs are wonderful. Even though I have other pharmacies closer I stay at this pharmacy just because of them.

The pharmacists are fabulous! On more than one occasion they have caught a prescription from a doctor that would interact with prescriptions already being taken. They know me and my family and the issues we are dealing with and are supper helpful in dealing with our medical issues.

I have used this Walmart a couple of times, but for some reason this last time they decided to only fill 30 days of my 90 day prescription because it was cheaper. Obviously less medication will be cheaper, but that's not what I was looking for. I questioned it when the girl was checking me out, and she said the doctor had written the prescription incorrectly. I called the doctor, and they had in fact prescribed 90. I do not need my pharmacy changing my prescription count and then blaming the doctor. So freaking wrong.
