Laundromat Washateria reviews
8Not too shabby. Was a bit dirty, but not disgusting. Mainly the floors. Bathroom has no soap and needs some TLC. Homeless didn't seem to be an issue. Yes homeless were around, but I only seen one come in and to use the bathroom. They were also very polite and promptly exited. Prices seem fair. I will return again if I ever need to use a laundromat, but would love to see this place taken care of a bit more.
Never hot water, alot of homeless people off street constantly panhandling customers who just want to get in and get laundry done and go. I've had to to call police up there myself for domestic disturbances, and for finding a crack pipe in an area a mother and her children were just at. I'm glad a child didn't pick it. To be the only laundry facility in Atlanta/Queen City area it needs to be better maintained with an attendant all day and night.
Very nice attending staff. Only a few double loaders and a bunch of top loaders but ok for a quick load.
This place needs upgrading and cleaning. Not enough front loaders. The machines are dirty too.
Today's experience there was great, I had more clothes than usual because I waited so long to go do them, but it was not crowded and machines were available for me to use more machines than I usually use. Not but a few other visitors and it seemed like their experience was good for them as well. Thank you Jim for continuing to have a great place to get my clothes done at an affordable price. 5 stars if you ask me, Scooter
Pretty sad when this place is the best place in town. The owner obviously checked out long ago, was a shame to even give them money.
The machines all worked. That is the three stars. Plus zero stars for carts with no wheels, and smoking being allowed inside where I'm trying to CLEAN my clothes.
I do my laundry here every other week. He has made great improvements on washers and dryers. Also pretty good prices.
Only thing wrong is that it has become a homeless shelter for a couple people. One is always trying to ask people for change or cigarettes. The other sits and talks loud on his cell phone which is very annoying to me, I don't want to hear about the dope you and so and so smoked last night. They sit at the tables sleeping, not washing any clothes. Bathroom smells nasty and looks nasty. The homeless people don't care and don't try to keep restroom clean.
UPDATE:
Has great machines and prices but homeless people still hanging out even with new signs up stating: NO LOITERING ALLOWED. THIS PLACE IS FOR CUSTOMERS.
Guess that is the downside of being open 24 hrs a day and no attendants and no enforcement.
