Washington Heights Veterinary Clinic, Houston TX

They always take such wonderful care of our animals, and the staff are awesome. The follow up is great, and every experience I have there is always positive! My dogs love going to see everyone!

I have only ever had the best experiences here. Moving back to Texas after 3 years and nothing about that has changed. They got us all up to date (and caught both of my dogs when I moronically lost control of them and they got loose).

Seriously gone down hill since Covid. The staff did not tell us the protocol of what was expected even though Covid has died down. We were not informed until we got to the clinic when it was too late to go to another clinic. All information given to us while making the appt was not correct. Once we got to the clinic we were informed the prices were higher and the dog was only to be accompanied by one owner. Many new items were added to the billing not previously discussed. Even though my other pet was well cared for here prior to Covid, I will not be doing biz with this clinic. Unprofessional and inconsistent! I hardly ever write reviews, but I am very upset. It should be expected in every instance to go over Covid protocol in detail, especially when many businesses are loosening their restrictions. Prices should also be standard and all details of a vet visit should be included in conversation when making the appt. Need to repeat again prior to covid, this clinic was great!

Dr. Garrou was awesome! Along with the rest of the staff. The Dr called me and went into great detail about my pet and was so friendly! No one here is pushy about what you should do for you animals.they were also very quick!

Love and trust WHVC with our two girls and recommend them to anyone who asks. Every doctor and staff member I’ve encountered takes the time to really listen and care for the animals

Vet and staff are extremely nice, professional and provide exceptional care to pets and animals. Very great with calling back to provide updates given it is no contact visitation. This is more feedback than criticism. With covid and everything going on, i feel they have been pretty amazing with providing no contact visitation. However, it is Often hard to get appt scheduled due to unavailability and heavily reliant on walk ins. Please consider increasing time slots for appts.and please try to decrease time on the phone. On average 5-10 min wait on the phone (understandably, but still). Otherwise, very happy with the care provided to my pet.

Can be hard to get things done via phone/email as they are a busy clinic. However, I’ve brought all of my adopted pups to this clinic. Great staff, vets included!

Very friendly staff, Loved our vet & her assistant. Everything our pet needed or we asked to have done was explained in detail before it was done. Our peace of mind and our dogs comfort was their concern from the minute we walked in the door. I've used a lot of vets over the years and this clinic is the BEST.

The first vet clinic I've ever visited in which the time your appointment is, is the time they see you. I didn't even have time to fill out their initial visit form.which was only one page. Secondly, I didn't have to wait much longer even for the dr to come inside. Very helpful and didn't feel rushed or pressured. Made the anxious experience for my pet quick and easy. In and out the door in less than 45 minutes. Glad I found this place!

Best vet in Houston. Our puppy has been in and out of here quite a few times with various ailments, but he gets so excited when we pull up.

I have been to a handful of vets in the Houston area and I'm very glad I gave this one a shot. I'll be coming here for a long time!

Pros:
-Super friendly front desk staff
-Good location
-The vet and vet techs I have interacted with were all very helpful and kind and answered all of my (many) questions and they were open and honest about their prices
-During my pup's first visit, they had a little welcome sign with her name on it

Cons:
-Parking lot is tiny

We just stated bring our pup here not too long ago and so far we've been really pleased with her care. The techs are very nice and the vets are very caring.

I can't say enough good things about this place. They provide amazing care. We dropped off our new puppy for a first time visit on short notice (because of adoption we only had a 2 day window), they made time for her and even followed up with a very detailed phone call from the doctor. When we went back for vaccination follow up, we had a more questions which they were happy to answers. While there we let them know our pup had been scratching at her ears. They ran a test to determine she had a bad yeast infection in her ears. I'm happy they did the test, so we could get the right medication and treat our pup. Overall very thorough care!

I cannot speak highly enough of this clinic. They've taken care of my dog Max for a number of years and he's a highly anxious, stressed out pittie when he boards. Pre-Harvey, my company required me to evacuate and I had to leave Max with WH - I got email and text message updates reassuring me that he was being taken care of in the storm and doing well. They have kind and friendly technicians, the vets are excellent and they go above and beyond to make sure you stay informed. Thanks for being excellent.

This place is awesome! All the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and personable. Best Vet clinic in town. Love it.

Dr. Pilgram is enthusiastic, fun, and communicative. We felt like she was really on our side and the side of our pet. She communicated in a timely manner, when she said she would, and was always respectful of our time. We were given plenty of options and freedom to make the right choices for our pet and our family. We felt like we would be supported no matter what option we chose (aggressive treatment or not.) Our pet had a similar episode in another city and the care cost twice as much with much worse kennel-side manner. The other staff were helpful and flexible as well. Prescriptions and medications were provided with no fuss, and they made considerable efforts to contact previous vets.

Our family has been going here for 7+ years. We love the place. Everyone is nice, they are willing to work with your schedule, and they do a great job. Dr. Case is our favorite, but we have had experience with most of them and have liked them all.
