Watson's House of Ales reviews
19This is your good basic run of the mill pub. They have a good selection of beers including different IPs and stouts as compared to the most places. The food is typical bar/pub and the setting is pretty chill. Great place for drinks or meeting someone haven't seen in a while.
Less selection than I anticipated for a "house of ales, " only about a dozen beers on draft. But it was bright and clean, wonderful outdoor seating area. Great atmosphere! Stellar service. Will definitely be back!
This is a classic English style pub that has a nice variety of draft beer selection, along with a British-American menu to select some amazing tasting food from. The vibe is great, and it’s got a great mixture of easy going, friendly patrons that are there to kick back after work with some friends. It’s got a great outside patio area with a lot of room and seating. This is a great place to hang out and I highly recommend it for anybody wanting to get a beer and enjoy the company of your mates.
Good hangout spot for happy hours with colleagues and friends.
We booked a big table for our group of 20 people and everyone enjoyed it.
I didn’t think there was anything this cool in Texas. Great service. Lovely setting for a pre-dinner drink on a warm evening.
Totally relaxed place to talk and take it easy with some drinks. I ordered a margarita and the bartender did an amazing job, it was delicious!
Man this place is old school with the cheers vibe and a big bang theory mashed up with the guys in the IRA lol. Loved the darts, pool, and old school golf.
We live in the neighborhood and were disappointed the first time we visited here and decided to give it another shot. The drinks were great and the service was sufficient, but when I got my order of Fish and Chips, I had 6 fries and the shrimp on the side were the size of quarter at best. Everything tasted okay, just thinking that a restaurant that is the near the Texas Coast would have real Gulf Shrimp! And, not sure why they never have the fireplace on? It would add so more ambience if they did.
Great place to unwind after a hard day. The beer is cold and the food is great. I really enjoy the vibe of the outdoor patio.
Sidney is an awesome waitress!
Cool place, available parking, good chill atmosphere, large outdoor seating area. Drinks and service are decent. Been here a few times actually and will gladly return.
Went here for the first time, service sucks. We sat for 8 minutes with no service no recognition of our exsitence. Came in and everyone stopped to look at us, by the way I'm black, he's Hispanic. Servers at the door talking to each other. We left and called back to speak with the manager about the service and he assured us that he has a mixed raced staff and that was not the reason no one served us.right. I guess that staff was not on duty tonight. I will not go back, but do what y'all want.i do spend my green dollars on people that don't accept my black face.
Great, big property. The Fish and Chips and burgers are delicious. Great ambieance for a date night or a family night with kids.
Beautiful outdoor patio, dog friendly. Sadly terrible service during non-peak hours with mediocre food. Visited twice thinking time and day of week would improve outcome, sadly not.
They took care of us during a friends celebration of life, and made us feel welcomed. Every one of the staff members was friendly, with warm smiles.
I recently attended a gathering here with a group of 15-20 guys and we had a great time. We had an area outside, there was live music and our server was outstanding! I didn’t hear of orders or bills being mixed up. Everyone seem pleased at the beer menu. So, we’ll probably go back.
Best bang for your buck on lunches and after-hours gatherings with office mates, clients and friends.good and interesting selection of beers. Highly recommended!
I love it. The outside space is big, several tables, all nice. Good selection of beers that changes and good selection of pub food. They are dog friendly and they go above and beyond to make sure the pups are happy as well. They even have a pup pattie that my dogs were jumping on the table to get more. I will definitely go back more times and I recommend it!
Wow. I'd only had drinks here before but today tried to have lunch here. It was me and a girlfriend here from Ecuador. We had 2 waitresses pass us saying someone would be here shortly to help us. 10 minutes later still no menus and one of the waitresses passes again to apologize for us waiting but still doesn't bring menus. A few minutes later a waitress brings 1 menu. We order two beers and they ask for a credit card to take my order and ask for my friend's ID. Predictable and understandable (she is tiny) she produces 2 forms of ID. Her ID from her country and a driver's license from another country as she's lived in a few. They denied her saying she needed to provide a US ID. What a ridiculous place. So we walked right over to Lupe Tortillas and had a great lunch.
