Wave on Lake Conroe, Willis TX

Crawfish tasted amazing and perfectly cooked. Our waitress Dakota, was super sweet and attentive. We plan to return again soon for more crawfish! I can’t speak on the quality of the other food items on the menu though. Location was a bit tucked away and hard to find.

If you haven't had a burger from here you're missing out. I live in Montgomery and drive to the other side of Lake Conroe to eat here. The fries are seasoned so well and are great with ranch. The sweet potato fries are actually crispy I haven't had anything be less then perfect from here.

I had a burger delivered tonight. I didn't have high hopes, and this burger made my night! Juicy yummy delicious! Tiny little tomatoes cut up perfect and the littlest pickles. I recommend the burger! Fried were great. I will have to come eat here

What a wonderful place this could be. Stunning views but terribly dirty windows. It ruins the effect. They have a good Happy Hour - M-F 3: 00-6: 30. They claim on website and sign in restaurant to have live music regularly. NOT TRUE. Just occasionally, rarely this time of year. Food and prices appear okay. Very pretty outside on deck on warm days.

Food, service and atmosphere are absolutely horrible. Nothing but fowl language and rowdy heathens in this entire establishment. The attitudes of wait staff are horrendous and they have no respect for people who live in the subdivision. I wish this place would just go away, honestly. It was so nice before this place opened as an attraction to the party heathens. Food is terrible and overpriced too. Definitely not kid friendly.

The owner is a snobby jerk! After seeing the way he treated a bus driver for allegedly hitting some bricks with a bus carrying his patrons, i will never step foot in this establishment again. The way he was screaming at the young lady and telling her that he was going to make sure she went to jail tonight on felony charges. Absolutely disgusting the way he handled the situation. I wouldn’t encourage anyone to spend their money here at all. The owner needs to apologize to her if he can reach out. But i wouldn’t expect anyone of the likes of him to do anything like that.

I want to like this place a lot. But the food is mediocre at best. The service is young and inexperienced. This place has so much opportunity. Of they would just put in a little more effort.

Great view! Music. Queso sucked! Soooo many mosquitoes after dark outdoor seating. Property looks a little rough around edges. Wasnt busy for a Sat night.

A little bit of clean on this place and it be wonderful. The restrooms on the middle of the restaurant is not very appealing. But hey they have two bars and a nice pool.

Went to this place last night with my parents since they are visiting from NYC. The staff was friendly and the view was beautiful which is why I gave two stars. The restaurant unfortunately badly managed and the food was not good. Ordered 6 wings and guacamole with chips which took about an hour to get to our table. My parents Ordered red fish with habanero and fried fish sandwich. It was ok. I ordered blackened salmon which never showed up and canceled since we wanted to leave. They also made a mistake with the bill and tried to charge twice for the fish. So I would suggest check the bill before paying. I wouldn't come back to this place and I live 30 mins away. Sad the restaurant has beautiful spot on the lake but not using it well to make a profit.

The mac and cheese with mixed vegetables are amazing. It’s on the lake with a sunset view and they allow dogs for outside seating. There’s a pool too! Everything is great but it’s just not the same without the server Ben, he memorized my food order and gave perfect recommendations.

My wife and I both had the blacken salmon, and it could not have been any better. Jordan was our waitress and was just super. The meal was presented very nice and was seasoned just right. We will be going back to try something else.

Needs some repairs which it looks like they started maybe? But the driveway is terrible, the waterfall and fountain weren't working, pool was murky. But hey.it's free-ish (with the purchase of food/drinks)

Everything here needs to be updated from the half working restrooms to the not working at all water fall. The pool stays green because it's not properly treated as in next to nothing chlorine. The cabanas are literally falling down. The railing is rusted and bars were missing or left laying on the ground. The trash and food left over is so bad the birds come by on schedule to eat. Non-existent atmosphere here devoid of anything.

Beautiful place to visit, this is the 2nd year we have visited, Great Food, Great Service, and Great Environment but this year we were very disappointed in the condition of the Pool way to much Algae I hope next year when we visit the Pool will be in Better Condition.

The ideal here is Awesome! The live music was Great, food being brought out pool side while over looking a lake is Brilliant, just needs a lil modernization! I definetly recommend!

Alright. We have been looking forward to visiting Wave on Lake Conroe for a long time. It's a bit further from us than other spots on the water, so we always put it off until today. Maybe it was just a bad day/start, but we will never return.

Unfortunately, it was very underwhelming.

FOOD: Simply put, it was not good. Bland & just odd tasting. Wasn't inviting or worthwhile by any means, especially for the cost, and eating the food felt a little questionable for us. Things to mention from our order of Chips & Queso, Chicken Alfredo, Nachos, & Fried Fish Sandwich. Only thing worthwhile from these items in reality were chips and queso and the included fries with our meals, nothing great, but is what it is. Beef on Nachos tasted odd, Chicken Alfredo was bland as ever, and Fried Fish Sandwich was no good. For the Fish Sandwich, you assume your usual fish sandwich - but no, it's a catfish fillet (which is unspecified) & it was overcooked/overfried. We did not assume it was going to be catfish, as they had other fish on menu, so I told them and they did take it off the bill which was nice of them, and we did not eat it.

SERVICE: Service was alright. Our waitress was nice, but on multiple occasions, we just forgot about things we asked. There were only two tables there, it just opened and was slow, we were first table of day. We asked for juice for our child, she never provided it. This is okay, water is better anyway. We had to ask for togo boxes more than once. Again, nice waitress, but for it being slow, we felt a little odd having to ask for things multiple times.

ATMOSPHERE: It's nothing special, there is a pool, but without a busy crowd, it looks bare and dirty and less appealing. Did not feel inviting, and of course it is a small spot, but it just felt a little strange being in there. Upon arriving, it had a strong stench of cleaning chemicals but didn't look clean - either way, nice to know it's was cleaned to some extent. The table and chairs you're sitting at are outdoor furniture, so you'll be at an uncomfortable metal table (one you can't put your feet under) and metal chairs that do not allow you to be comfortable as well.

Overall, the food/experience provided this place to be very underwhelming and not worth the PRICE or your time.

I was really hoping for good things considering the reviews. Maybe those people were drunk when they posted? The food was OK, just standard, nothing amazing. The waitress serving us was nice enough, though, but she took my drink back twice as the bar staff hadn't dressed it as asked. We sat inside by the window as none of the outdoor tables had sun umbrellas, and the sun was just starting to go down, therefore it was really bright. We opted to sit inside by the windows to get a view of the lake, I wasn't sure it was a restaurant when we walked in, I thought it was the pool bar, the window were filthy and the ledges covered in flies. After we ate, we went for a walk, and boy, does that deck need some taking care of! Rotting boards, even the outdoor cabanas were held up together with winced rope. The whole outside gave off a real tacky vibe. It's a shame as the location is great, but this place needs a real cash injection.
