WaWa's Seafood Shack, Athens TX

Stand alone restaurant with barely adequate parking. Restaurant and restrooms were in good repair and clean. Menu selections were small but adequate. Wait staff was very friendly but inattentive. Wait times for the food was fairly long. Fish, shrimp and french fries or excellent. Meals are served with plasticware. Price point for the food was right on spot. Highly recommend, just hope you don't get the waitress we had.

Absolutely delicious! Fresh crawfish. Cooked perfect with a nice seasoning that was not too spicy but definitely wasn't mild. Staff was kind and friendly and prompt on needs. Bathrooms were clean.

Absolutely loved this place, extremely accomodating and so friendly! I recommend the fried fish platter when you go!

A little pricey but food was good. Our waitress was very friendly & service was excellent.

Very good fried seafood. Crawfish seasoning is tasty but crawfish can be rather small.

The service was friendly. Overall a good experience. I was a little let down that they did not have all of the tools for shelling crabs. Prices were decent. Overall I would eat here again.

Good food and good service. The crawfish could have been spicier but I imagine at a restraunt you have to cater to everyone's tastes. The crawfish did come with extra spice to sprinkle over them so it wasnt a big issue.

Stopped in this little joint with some friends. We all are in agreement this is the best boiled seafood we’ve had in Texas! Fresh tasting seafood boiled perfectly. Good cold beer and reasonable prices to boot. The boudin egg rolls were the bomb too. We are talking about coming back before we’ve even left.

Good food but had a little issue with wait staff this time. I wish it was in a larger building to accommodate the large number of customers! It can get crowded and longer wait times.

Great service, pre ordered live crawfish in advance, was in and out in just a few minutes, probably the best live crawfish have bought anywheres

Good crawfish tacos and shrimp tacos. Only criticism. Use double corn tortillas, not flour. Include a lime wedges. And need a bit more spicy slaw put on tacos.

The food was amazing I have eaten a lot of seafood and this was the best. Staff was amazing also I will be back!

I just had the Catfish. But the fiance had the Shrimp & Crawfish.loved it.

Food is amazing! The service even better. When you go in there ask for a gorgeous, patient and enthusiastic waitress by the name of Tammy. Not only was she on point to continually follow-up with us but she was so darn friendly and genuinely cared for us as her customers. Not just trying to be an employee. She was helpful, kind and really passionate about her customer service.

One last thing; if you’re reading this Tammy. Happy early birthday! We will definitely come back asking for YOU!

It was good and fast service.crawfish was hit or miss.some was really soft. I'd go again. Maybe just had a old batch.

Food was ok. Crab legs looked like they we re about 2 years to small. Staff waiting tables never brought or even offered 1 single drink refill. Even had to ask for the check. I heard people say this was the best place around so I wanted to try it out. 100% won't be back and 100% disagree.
