Weights + Measures reviews
18Food was excellent. Servers were very sweet but not attentive. Had to flag down other servers to get drinks/refills. Even getting the check was a struggle. The music was great but so loud we couldn’t hear the servers and they couldn’t hear us. Even at our table for four we had to shout to hear one another. Looking around we were not the only ones.
The wait was a little long, but it was acknowledged by the wait staff, so the expectation was set. I had the pizza and my wife had the chocolate cake at which we both enjoyed.
I was glad to be able to go to a non-chain establishment for good food and drinks.
Great service, delicious food on the brunch menu and upbeat atmosphere. Would definitely dine there again. Midtown location is very convenient.
Wonderful service. Coffee was a little acidic for me, but still very good. All the pastries were fantastic. I want to go for lunch when I'm in Houston again.
On our way back home from HTWN to ATx we stopped for brunch in midtown. IMO it was well worth it!
Upon first arrival I do believe our server was a bit apprehensive. I get it tho because we showed up 40mins before closing. She attempted to share her concerns but we assured her we would not be wasting her time, we were ready to order our app, main course and dessert. She perked right up after that and expressed her enjoyment to take care of patrons who know what they want when they arrive. She took care of us with delight multiple times through your 40min stay. All the dishes we ordered were delicious.
The Chatboard with fresh fruit, jam and warm bread! The crispy and flavorful chkn and waffle, the mimosa was okay but I’ve yet to have one that was extraordinary from any restaurant.
With the exception of the doughKnots which have a tough exterior that made them hard to eat/enjoy and which is also why we only had one, we had a really delicious meal. Especially that espresso drink at the end… “chef’s kiss”. When she brought our check she shared their plans for Christmas meal pkgs for curbside pickup. Overall I’m looking forward to a location closer to home or a return visit.
Great happy hour specials. $1 oysters and some creative items on the menu. Didn't care for the margarita pizza, but everything else we ordered was good.
I come here almost every Week for dinner and several times a week for pastries and coffee. This weekend I came for happy hour and ordered a medium rare cheeseburger. It came medium. I asked the waitress “does this look medium rare” she said “no”. I asked “did i order medium rare or medium? I may have ordered it wrong” she confirmed “no you said medium rare. Let me talk to the kitchen”. Well the message from the kitchen was “we are short on beef patties so tell her to order something else” because according to them they made it right and I didn’t know what medium rare was.
I left. I will not be back. You are either high end or not high end.
I used to work here several years ago. The food and coffee are ok. I got this job at a point in my life of severe loss and grieving. I admit, I was not the perfect representation of love and great attitude, but I needed work and I tried my best and was always on time and worked hard. I felt extremely judged and condemned by the people here. I think they even still prank call me till this day and ridicule me.
I have since moved on and let this go. I hope they can do the same. I'm sorry, please forgive me, I love you, let it go.
Food (if anyone bothers to serve you)
Cocktails (if anyone bothers to serve you)
The past two times I have tried eating here, I made a reservation. On both occasions, I arrived on time or early. On both occasions, I was left twiddling my thumbs for 20-30 minutes while servers simply ignored my party, and failed to ask what we wanted to drink or eat. It is a shame, because pre-pandemic, this place was top notch. But, they no longer have my favorite cocktail (RIP, sparkling cosmo) and the front of house absolutely stinks at their job. There is no excuse. The dining room only had two other couples when I tried going last week, on a Thursday night, at 6: 20pm. My boyfriend and I walked out at 6: 45 after having waiters give us thousand yard stares, never once asking us what we wanted to drink. We had an event to get to, so we went to the closest place (GYPSY POET) and got our drinks immediately, an (amazing) caprese salad within a few minutes, and our delicious pizzas within the next 10 minutes or so. I truly hope W+M gets it together, but their service was/is atrocious.
We’ve been wanting to have brunch here since they opened but what a let down! Tasteless Chicken and waffles and fishy salmon brunch. So many better places than this-overpriced!
Ordered the Thanksgiving meal and family was completely disappointed with (as I believe) one of the most important sides…. The stuffing/ dressing? Our pick up was for 3 pm & it seems that they must have ran out of this side or … just not sure? This was also suppose to feed 2-4, we don’t typically over eat, but this was Thanksgiving!
It was a few big pieces of bread croutons, herbs on top and a pat of butter. Thank goodness we decided to pick up another side of dressing from Whole Foods, so I managed to combine & doctor it up!
3 stars because the Turkey breast was delicious.
Very good, great food, Kentucky peach tea cocktail is brilliant and refreshing. Our server Leo was very attentive and had a great attitude.
Just picked up some breakfast pastries in the morning! I will be coming back to try the sit down menu.cute atmosphere, decent pastries
Had a great experience! We went for dinner for my friends bachelorette party and was not disappointed! We had a party of 10 and they assigned a waitress solely to us so she was able to answer any questions we had and tell us recommendations and we also didn't feel bad for taking up her time and she didn't feel overwhelmed! The food is UNBELIEVABLE! We all got something different and tried each others! The carrot pizza was amazing and well seasoned and the dough is made in house and you can tell from the softness of it. My favorite was the cavatelli it had a little bit of spice and cheese but the sausage was the star of the show! The smallish room was a nice bourbon with rosemary not to sweet but the burn was reduced but you still had that bourbon taste. All the bread is made and house and was delicious. Food plus great services seems impossible theses days but weights and measure definitely brought it back! All in all 10/10 can't wait to go back!
Modern and sleek new eatery with prices and menu to match. You will find unique items that are probably a few more dollars than they should be. All of the dishes were very well done though and the atmosphere is modern and stylish.
Great food and good service! Portions were a little small for the price, but the quality and taste was outstanding. Definitely will be coming back.
#theaccidentalbrunchers had brunch at #weightsandmeasures. The food was good and the iced tiramasu coffee was phenomenal! We especially enjoyed the pastries at the adjoining bakery!
Another GREAT meal at W&M! The perfect place for many different small plates with a huge range of flavor and textures, as well as great big plates (perfect scallops and risotto!). The shared small plates were all amazing (my date agreed), and included sweet potato, octopus, salad, and charcuterie board. And, as always, the bread and seasoned butter were too much to resist. The service was great (thanks, Glen) and it was nice to sit outside now that we're hopefully through the worst of the summer heat. Delicious bakery items that we took home were awesome the next day. Definitely a great place for a group of friends or a fun date night. Plenty of menu options to keep things interesting, and all GREAT. No worries about your drink choices either-they have that covered as well.
