Wellmed at West Camp Bowie, Fort Worth TX

I've had issues with getting through to them every single time I've called and tried to set an appointment. The office recordings say they are closed at random times, I've been put on hold, then then hung up on, been on hold for so long I had to hang up, they've scheduled me for the wrong days and times, so when I showed up they didn't have an appointment, then I asked them to cancel another time because of the wrong date being scheduled and they didn't cancel it and then billed me for not showing up. There have been several different doctors I have seen as well and don't feel like there is much personal attention to the patient as an individual. I can only say that Tracy is awesome and the nurse there that draws blood was very nice and did a great job with that, other than that it is very very difficult to be serviced by them and they are very bad at getting back to you and scheduling. I will be seeking a different general care provider even though I have been going to this location my whole life before it was Wellmed. I have been having these issues ever since this company bought out the existing family medicine practice years ago and I can't handle it anymore.

I agree with a lot of posts about changing doctors. I was bounced around from dr to dr until I was ready to look for a new doctor’s office. Then I got a scheduled one more time with a new doctor, Dr. Laura Atkinson, DO. I really like her. She’s kind, friendly, caring, and she really takes the time to understand what’s going on and do her best to help you. She’s now both my husband’s and my primary care doctor.

They change Doctors and staff more than a dirty diaper. The only one that stays is Tracy.

Constantly changing doctors! Doctor will only see Medicare Advantage! Now I have to go elsewhere after 28 years with the recently retired Dr Ellis.

I have used this clinic for 38 years. Knowledgeable, courteous, professional staff. They've kept me going this far. Dr. Ake is the doc I see.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE

Been a Patience with Dr Ellis that sold to these folks, and now after 20+ yrs of going to Dr Ellis, Im a new Patient, can't get an appt for 2 weeks. Unbelievable, Blood Sugar 514, they couldn't care less. Lever Going here! EVER! I'll find another Dr to go to.

This place is horrible. I went to see Dr. Ake today and he was not helpful. Instead of addressing the problem he assumes I want medicine. Which has nothing to do with the reason I went to see him. I do not recommend going to this place. The only thing I see happening at well med is racking up a bill.
