Chiropractor Wellness Heights reviews
4Nothing but positive experience. He's helped with neck and back pain from a previous spine injury.
Billing mistake or insurance scam? Probably the latter.
I came in for routine chiropractic care (nothing was wrong with me— just wanted regular adjustments) and had an okay initial experience. The clinic is in a really old building which is quite frankly a little creepy. But whatever, I don’t care about a glamorous setting if the chiropractic care is good.
Anyway, my first adjustment was pretty painful to say the least. He did this thing where rolled my lower back with his thumbs over and over and it was the most excruciating pain I’ve ever felt. I’ve only previously gone to The Joint before this and have never experienced anything like this before. Apparently this pain was a “good thing” and meant he was rolling tension or whatever out of my back. Again, I was fine before going in. Well the adjustment wasn’t all bad so I agreed to come back the next week for a follow up. Had another excruciating adjustment the following week so I decided to skip a week and give it one last try. After my third visit I decided to stop going.
Imagine my surprise when I get notifications week after week from Aetna about claims being made to my insurance by Heights Wellness Clinic. NINE to be exact— Which were all $250+ each visit except for the first claim which was over $2000! This place continued to scam money from my insurance provider for services I NEVER received. I filed disputes with my insurance provider and they contacted the clinic. They advised that I call the provider directly— which I did. They said the excessive billing was a mistake made by an employee that worked there— YEAH BS BUT OKAY. They said they would remove the extra claims (they could only confirm 3 dates where I actually visited their clinic) but It’s been months and my insurance still has 9 claims on it for various dates by Heights Wellness Clinic.
I have NEVER been to any clinic or medical office where my insurance was “accidentally” processed so many times. Do yourself a favor and find another place to go to. After coming here I realized The Joint is NOT so bad after all— even if they don’t take insurance.
I have been coming to this business for several years and Dr Brett knows how to help with minor sport injuries to relieve pain, pressure and tingling.
