Wendel D. Ley Family YMCA reviews
17Gym mirrors are disgusting and guy's restroom is nasty, stinks, and food sometimes on the floor.
Great exercise locations. The gym floors need to be cleaned and the Silver Sneakers class has no room for everyone, not enough chairs and the bleachers seats are not sturdy when one sits on them. I am very disappointed in the lack of concern for the seniors equipment and the uncleaning of the balls, tubing and weights.
The YMCA app is great!
This location is ghetto. They let the children run around and do whatever. Everyday the hours change for child watch. I honestly think they just don’t be wanting to watch the kids. I’m over it. I’ve been going to the one downtown instead and I have no issues. It’s 15 minutes further than this location but it’s worth it.
Great atmosphere. I’ve personally had a wonderful personal training experience with Greg Malloy. All of the employees have been friendly & helpful.
Had a great time today at the YMCA people always friendly very helpful get a chance to check them out
I love this place it small of which is just right for me. The gym just got new machines.the staff is great. The only problem is, i wish i would have joined sooner.
This place is awesome! The after school program is the best. Mr Chris & the after school staff are great. Miss Brianna at the front desk is the best. Man I can’t brag enough about these guys. My daughter loves it there. The new childcare directer Miss Thompson is a great addition to their team. Her support is everything parents need raising children. I can’t find enough verbs to describe these ppl. To sum it all up, we love this place. I’m a happy parent.
I tried putting zero stars, but this is the lowest it'll let me. Need to add new gyms or relocate there basketball teams. Tired of not being able to play when ever I want
They need to put another basketball court in, I'm getting tired of purchasing a membership there and get kicked off the court. And practice hours are from 6-9 pm and the gym closes at 10 pm. We the people that actually want to enjoy ourselves and play pick up games can't do that!
Ms. Terry at the front desk is exceptional! She is knowledgeable, loving, fun, and gets things down. It is an honor to have met her and know her. When she is not workingyou can definitely tell
Don’t get me this is a great gym for the past month I been here. But recently there been a very muscular white guy with a tribal tattoo and his girlfriend have been recoding men, women and children workout in the weight room. Please if you children don’t let them near these people.
Beware their is pervert that records people in the weight room. If you have kids don’t let them near there his a white male with a tattoo
I thoroughly enjoy being a member of the YMCA the staff are helpful pleasant and knowledgeable. My personal favorite class is the Line Dance Class the instructor is Awesome her name is (Carolyn McCray). If you like dancing please come and join us. I Believe~Line Dancing is a FUN WAY to keep your Bones and Muscle Strong and Your Cognitive Memory Sharp! The members who attend the class are wonderful people who have enriched my life in so many ways. I Love My Line Dance Class!
Class Time: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Time: 11: 00 until Noon
If you are ever considering putting your child in this soccer league, strongly reconsider. By far the most unorganized and coordinated place to play. The director Joe never knows what's going on. The coaches show up when they want. The lack of communication here is taken to a new level. Don't waste your time, do your child and yourself a favor and play in another league.
This place was quite cool when I visited. I look around and tried the exercise room. But I didn't went in the pool. However I highly recommend Water Exercise class with Ara. She is a amazing person and Instructor!
Sadly, yesterday I went to the early morning water exercise class and the pool was filthy. Other people's band aids in the water, comb, goggles, leaves, etc. I came out of the pool smelling stinky, not of chlorine. I enjoy the class, but no one wants to put themselves into nasty water. I hope this will be corrected.
If you notice, most of these reviews are old. Let's just say that the Y, this Y, is not what it used to be. The people are rude and not very helpful (mainly the African American woman with natural hair) and they are overpriced. Compare prices. Example.swim lessons for two weeks for two sessions is $180. With a swim league it is $60.
