Werner's Restaurant, Shiner TX

Awesome. The CFS was the bomb! Did I mention it was "Buffet"? U get ur money's worth when u eat there. Definitely looking forward to the next time. Every thing was great, compliments to the Chef!

The bratwurst plate was so very good and the pretzel sticks with beer cheese was so delicious.
All staff were very friendly and nice.
Highly recommend

The bar is under construction at this time so drinks were limited. The fried pickles were too greasy (I gave them to some friendly teens at another table). The food was good we had the chicken fried steak.

FOOD POISONING!

Within an hour of eating here, we were both vomiting.
This was our first meal today.

I had the hamburger steak, and my wife had a hamburger. Must be bad meat.

Won't be back!

Great Tasting Food, Waitresses Are Really Respectful and Kind, prices are a little high, selection is decent. They had buffet 2 meats and about 6 sides. Should be more selection for the price in my opinion. Based on Quality of Food? 4 STARS out of 5. Buffet was right at $32 for 2 adults

The staff was amazing! My first time here in years and will be going again soon! The food was outstanding and the bartender knows what they are doing! I was in no rush to leave!

Buffet was a 5 out of 10. Not much variety, some items from cans. Only one very sugary desert. Order from the menu better, German food looked good

We decided to stop in after a afternoon of Shiner Brewery tour. Great German food! Recommend stopping in as they also had great appetizers and other food options such a chicken fried steaks and ribeyes!

Went for lunch today and it wasn't busy and it took over an hour after we ordered to get or food

This is the first time I have ever left a review. The only good thing was the burgers we had, don't get the nachos (there's no chilie it's all beans and cheese). We had a party of 6. When we walked in, the restaurant seemed fine. It was when my family and I went to sit at the corner benches that it went south. The seats, tables, and floor were dirty at both booths and had food stains. The floor was greasy and my shoes slid on the floor underneath the table. I was curious so I checked the silverware which was already placed on the table wrapped in a paper towel and the silverware was dirty. We ordered our drinks and few minutes later out food and waited what felt like 40-60min for our burgers. We only saw 3 employees as well, a young lady who seemed to serve food and refill drink, the hostess who also takes the orders, and a gentlemen who cleans tables and dishes off the tables. It seemed as well that the salad bar that is included in some entrees is to be the food to fill the time between getting your food and drinks. A table of two that come in after us recieved their appetisers and burgers before us and left with they containers when we had just received our food. The restrooms could also use a clean.

Great food. Went to drive thru.food was delicious! Met Mo, the chef.he could beat Bobby flay on the grilled chicken with veggies and.deliciously good! We even received complimentary tea while we waited.

Not one customer in the building when we walked in.we stood and looked at cakes talked to the workers for a bit and sat at our table.
So they were aware we were there.

Sat for 5 minutes at least and not one person came to serve us! No menu, no drinks nothing.
So we got up and left.
Very Unexpectable

Just rolling into it, when we walked in and sat down it almost smelled like fish so that was gross. It took the server like 10 minutes before we got out drinks and it was a slow night. When we ordered 2 appetizers and they only showed up with one and said sorry were out of the other after the fact. The food was ok but they burnt my wife's burger slightly. Then to wrap it up the server gave our check to a different group and instead of reprinting out our recipt she just gave us the other families recipt. I understand why werner's never looks busy definitely not worth it.

Great family owned business. Great food, service, etc Robert Werner and family are hard working people whom stive to make your weedings, b day parties, etc a good event win it comes to catering or just dinning in is great.

Everything was great. Will be back. I tried the chop steak with grilled onions and mushrooms. Mashed potatoes and brown gravy. Salad bar was great. Thank you for the great service

Newly renovated so very nice atmosphere. Food was great and service was very personal.they were short handed tonight for service help and kitchen was naturally slow but despite this they served everything with a smile.if you like to take your time, unwind, and relax this is the place!

Well I ordered a ribeye steak and got a sirloin. Good flavor but had a huge tendon in the middle. Fried mushroom where good. Fried pickles ok. Servers need to be more personable.

My husband and I were on the way out to a football game and decided to try something different in Shiner. Never again! They were real quick to seat us and take our drink order, but took longer to get our drinks and even longer to take our order. As I'm writing this, we are still waiting for our food. Service is terrible!

Chicken fried steak tasted as if it was already spoiled. Waitress had a "whatever" attitude, and didn't know what "iced tea" was lol.

We were at at wedding this past Saturday that was catered by Werners. The food was terrible. Chicken was soggy and flavorless. The potatoes appeared to be weathered down and flavorless. The green beans lacked flavor but kinda tasted like dirt. The best part of the meal was the salad but the ranch dressing was watery as well. The only reason I gave them 2 star is because I had to click one to leave a review. I'm hoping they refund some of the money to the couples money because the food was a complete embarrassment. I didn't speak to one guest who liked it.
