West Koenig Flats Apartment Homes, Austin TX

These 5 stars are not for the apartment or the location but for the management at WKF. I unfortunately have to move out of this building because of some personal reasons but I could have easily stayed here for years. The staff is so kind, responsive to issues and just an email or a phone call away. One thing that really stood out for me was the fact that they provided us with hot food when we were going through the winter storm. Emily and Amanda are one of the best people I have come across, you will know once you meet them. The apartments are well maintained, location is amazing and the staff is great. All checks out. Go for it!

Wonderful place, wonderful people, I love the pool and the garden area. Great neighborhood to walk around in & soooo many yummy places are walkable and it’s so convenient going anywhere from here. They also love our furry animals (always so welcoming, with toys and treats in the lobby). So many of these wonderful people have gone out of their way to make living here a wonderful experience. They also have the most fun activities, they bring in some really good food & when everyone lost power during the storm they were so accommodating and wonderful. Truly cannot rate West Koenig Flats better. 11/10 place to live:)

Living at West Koenig Flats has been phenomenal! When I first moved in, the leasing staff constantly kept in touch, addressed all my questions, and made the moving process seamless.

After living here for a while, I’ve noticed that the team treats you like family. Cornelius has always been helpful at addressing issues and I always see him go above and beyond at making sure people are happy here. Emily is phenomenal! She always has a smile on her face, takes the time to get to know people, and I think she knows almost every resident’s name by heart. My brief interactions with Amanda have also been great.

The team also cares about addressing resident concerns. I’ve lived at places where you complain about an issue but it usually gets brushed off. Here, they will actually spend the time and money to make things better!

Lastly, the location is perfect. Close to I-35 and Lamar, plenty of food options, and only 10 mins to downtown. They also do a great job at planning community events. I couldn’t have asked for a better living experience!

I’ve lived in many apartment complexes. Some good, and some horrible. But WKF stands alone at the top of the mountain. My girlfriend and I have been here for a few months now. Since our move in, I have been constantly impressed by the hospitality, care and diligence that the staff shows. The attention to the resident is above and beyond any other place I’ve stayed. From Emily’s welcoming spirit, Cornelius’ management skills, Amanda’s quick and helpful responses, all the way to Jack and his efficient maintenance crew, I can’t say enough how much I recommend living here.

My partner and I moved in about 3 months ago and have loved every second of it. The team (especially Emily at the front desk) have gone above and beyond to make sure it feels like home. Maintenance is fast and respectful. Lots of fun little community events. Beautiful pool, convenient dog park, and zen garden. 100% will be signing for another year here.

I've been here 2 years and I'm still very very happy here. The previous management team was awesome and now that we've gotten to know the new management team, I can definitely say the same about them as well. The new management, Cornelius and assistant manager, Amanda have been very attentive and helpful any way that I've needed in this past year. Very accommodating when we lost power even though it was no fault or responsibility of their own. They address any issue I've had with enthusiasm and I'm grateful to have a continued positive relationship with the property management here at West koenig Flats. Despite the ever changing surroundings, people in the neighborhood, and minute policies (such as fetch delivery services and valet trash services) one thing remains a constant here- and that's the management. Thank you guys for all you do. It's not gone unnoticed! Obi and myself love this community and intend on staying for the foreseeable future.

I've lived at WKF for a year and a half. I really love it here! The apartments are nice and the staff is friendly. Amanda and Emily always make me feel welcome!

I am so grateful I live at West Koenig Flats. I moved from NYC about six months ago and had such a great experience on my tour with Emily I applied almost on the spot over other luxury facilities nearby.

It is very well maintained by Jack who supervises wonderful facilities with Deondre - a zen garden to chill and read, a pool with outdoor grills and lounge chairs, a gorgeous resident club room, fitness center with a good variety to meet needs. Of course, I love that the apartments are well designed with new amenities and features. Such an upgrade from NYC.

They really care about safety here. Making sure we have state of the art key access system, fire safety checks, a good package delivery service to prevent theft. The location is fantastic, close to UT, downtown, and south Lamar. If you want great shopping it’s 15 minutes away. North Loop/North Hyde Park is cool and charming.

The leasing and community staff are really the heart of what makes it great. Emily in leasing makes sure you feel welcome and included. Cornelius is there for every resident, answering questions, managing requests promptly. Amanda puts together great events so we can all meet each other and foster community. It is great to be included.

I have experienced many issues since moving here in October.

My unit was not checked properly before move-in. I was without a functioning refrigerator unit for three weeks. The disposal did not work, because it wasn't hooked up properly. The bathroom sink leaked whenever used and was causing water damage. The maintenance crew was apologetic and helped fix these issues, but it's unacceptable that none of these problems were identified before I moved in. It made an already hectic period all the more stressful.

The major, ongoing concern has been a German roach infestation. I see at least one roach per day. Pest control has put in absolutely minimum effort to solve the problem. Apparently a unit on the fourth floor on the opposite side of the building from where I live has them as well, so it's a building-wide, systemic issue. The last pest control tech said bluntly that in a situation like this, there is basically nothing that can be done to entirely eliminate the roaches.

I'm surprised to see all of the positive reviews here. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but after one month here it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Paying nearly $2k for the pleasure adds insult to injury.

I’ve lived here for over a year now and am blown away by the care and attention management puts into the residents. Management helps make the community feel tight knit. They also address tenant concerns like real, considerate people treating tenants as if they are neighbors, not clients.

West Koenig Flats is the place to be. Emily makes the experience special for every newcomer and longtime resident alike. There is no face, background story or dog that she does not know. Having lived in 8 apartment complexes in 8 years in Austin, I can confidently say that a leasing experience with West Koenig Flats would top any others. Cornelius has been an excellent addition to the team. He is respectful and responsive. The clean, well-kept property and personal connections with every resident are a reflection of the high standards he holds. I tell everyone I know about this place. Keep up the great work.

This is my second lease term with WKF.
All of the staff are energetic, kind and always wanting to make your lease as pleasant as possible. I would recommend anyone looking for an apartment with excellent location and living quarters/ amenities to check this place out.

I am beyond pleased to be living at WKF. Since day one I have been amazed by the kindess and generosity I received from the entire staff, they treat you like family and they genuinely care about you. Additionally, it's a very well maintained property and the location is excellent. I'm happy and grateful to call this place my home.

I have very much enjoyed living here, and it has been by far my best living experience in Austin. Management is very responsive, and we have not had any issues. Neighbors are very friendly, and apartment units are spacious. Would've stayed much longer if I didn't have to move out of state.

I am so happy at West Koenig Flats! The apartment is beautiful, there are lots of great amenities, and the location is awesome. There are fun monthly events and I really feel like part of a community. Every staff member has been so kind and helpful, but I especially want to recognize the hospitality of Emily and Amanda. Thank you so much to everyone at WKF for making me feel at home. I highly recommend these apartments!
