My son has been there for a few days already. I went to visit last Thursday and he complained that he tried to call me and the call does not go through. I talked to someone there and left a couple of messages, and still nothing. No one answers the phone. All calls go to voicemail. I know he has been trying to call me or his mom, but 3 days after I saw him, I know nothing about him. They don't even call me to let me know how is he doing. Not to mention that they asked $5,000 in advance just to get him in.

This place is so bad the staff treats the 13-17 year old very poorly. The night staff was the worst very unprofessional didn’t help the kids while in pain or asking for assistance. A bunch of them would talk in their language and laugh at them no help at all. Definitely the worst hospital for young adults not helping with treatment.

The facility is neat and well fixed. It's a good mental health environment with good and mannered care staffs to lead you the positive side of life.

Do not bring your kids here! They were horrible and unprofessional when I came to visit. The receptionist more occupied with eating Popeyes and talking on her cell than helping grieving families. No telling what they do behind closed doors!

For everyone reading this Post; know that I am sharing a True Life experience at this facility, that impacted my Mental Health in such an astounding manner, I felt compelled to share. I had a severe Meltdown for the first time. I didn't know myself or anyone else! I felt doomed! Hopeless and afraid, I checked into West Park Springs Mental Hospital. I was a Mental Mess! Under the care of Dr. Aquell Hishmi and the entire Staff of Nurses, Therapist, Technicians and Support Staff, honestly, I left after 10 days, feeling 10 years younger. Mental Health is difficult to treat! Not for this Group! From Medication Managemnt to Overall Mental Stability; these people take it Serious! Stop Struggli ng! Get your Life Back! They did it for me; I'm Certain they can help you Heal and feel better too. I didn'sta believe it was Possible. Well, it is! There IS HOPE and it is No Longer Hidden. Life is meant to be a God Given Beautiful Experience. Let these people restore your Mind, Body and Soul!
Sincerely
Janice Sander

Was literally only there for like six days and got so much ptsd.the day staff is the only nice ones, the night staff are the worst people to be in healthcare.they sedate patients, lowkey bully some of them and it literally felt like prison.they put me in the more severe unit even though i wasn’t supposed to be there and gave me a roommate tht no one’s ever had because she has terrifyingly severe schizophrenia

This place is not professional. They will try to keep you in patient as long as possible while charging your insurance. They gave my daughter a strip search with no parental consent. They threatened patients and parents to call CPS on them if they leave. They did that to us and CPS showed up at our house. They had no probable cause to call CPS, we did nothing abusive to our daughter. We will be contacting the State officials to file a complaint as well as talk to a lawyer about a lawsuit. STAY AWAY

My son was there for 6 days and he said that the food was burn and they lock the doors on the patients rooms at night time and he said that the nurses was rudely to the patients. I don’t thanks that this patients needed to be treated as prisoners. We have been to there’s and they treat there patients nicely.

My 75 year old mother in law was admitted in late October 2022 for mental health and alcohol abuse. Somehow, she was allowed to be with the MUCH younger mental health patients who befriended her as their “ gangsta grandma”. When she left the facility, she brought 3 very young patients into her home with her to live there and disowned her family. The communication with the hospital was almost non existent. My husband called often during her stay and had to leave messages because nobody would answer and his calls were not returned.

This is the WORST Psychiatric Hospital I have ever seen/been admitted to.

My Takeaways

-this facility is not to be trusted. Something very sketchy is going on within. Bribery, miss use of medication, and getting money for keeping patients longer.
-the amenities online are a lie, it truly feels like a prison.
-PLEASE do your research before checking yourself into a facility for help. I believe there are places that can really help but if you chose the wrong one you may come out worse than you did before.
-know your legal rights before admitting yourself. You won’t have access on the inside and they won’t be eager to help you with it here.
-The staff you are surrounded by can make or break the experience. The staff here is 95% bad and 5% good.

Positive staff members I would like to recognize: Patience (truly cared about us and was very helpful), Jenn (taught group therapy and was very sweet), John (taught activity group and was very uplifting), Yazmine, a younger black man that wears a beanie, another very attractive black man that worked night. I didn’t meet all of the staff and some seemed nice in passing but I can’t give any names.

I wish you the best of luck on your mental health journey. Things get better, always do your research!

If i could give this place negative 100 stars, i would.these people only care about making $$$ from your insurance companies! They do not care about the patients at all! Terrible staff, no help at all.no doctors you can reach out to for information, no help or anything.they will GASLIGHT and kidnap your loved ones so their business makes money off of your policies.that’s all that is happening here, nothing else.if you care for your loved ones going through mental health issues, do not take them to THIS HOSPITAL it is the WORST

My 17 yr old was admitted in there for 11 days. She was transferred by ambulance from the ER and the intake took 4 hrs in the waiting area. (Just that was already a sign). She never had a 1 on 1 session with anyone. It was all group therapy, which is great but they don’t focus in individual patients issues. She got Jennifer Bui as a therapist and that woman never called me to ask any additional information besides what the ER had transferred to them. She would tell me she will call me back, we even set up a date and time and she called me over 24 hrs later. She would say she will email me information and never did. (She did the last day after I got upset about it). Even worse, she told my daughter that i was emotionally manipulating her and my daughter wouldn’t even want to see me. And would say things to me that my ex husband “told her” and vice versa. All made up, and when I confronted her she of course denied it.
This place is honestly there just cashing on the insurance money and checking the box for treatment. They did offer ok food, and the adolescent unit environment wasn’t horrible but as far as of treatment goes I don’t think is a good place, at least for teenagers. I never got to talk to the doctor, just one call from the RN for medicine consent and that’s all.

Not quite sure if those who brought me upon this world will pay up for the mischief they did of keeping a secret and neglecting their son’s condition out of embarrassment.

Regardless if I come here or not; I highly recommend this establishment and its great people.

Remarkable staff and service

I implore you never take your loved ones here!
I'm still having flashbacks and it's been over a week! The worst 4 days of my life. Not only does the website lie about the "amenities" that you will receive while being held hostage inside. They took me off psyc medication without thinking twice about it even though I'd brought the bottles of pills with me, SEVERAL times I heard them speak about how many pills I took and they made fun of me. I did not get to see a doctor for 2 days, only for them to tell me she didn't agree with my dose and times to take pills. Not only did the staff ignore me several times with absolutely no reason. I got NO MESSAGES from my loved ones and my doctor that was on the contact list; while I was at Westpark Springs knowing they'd left messages more than once. I was treated in the most discourteous way, Several times the staff told me they were "Working on it. " or they'd get right on it. I wasn't the ONLY PERSON THAT WAS BEING TREATED THIS WAY! Many people are mistreated while inside by the staff. Over the weekend they had NO TRANSLATOR and about 40% are (ESL) English as a second language, staff wouldn't acknowledge those people. The grass isn't green in medows unit, It's colder then the Ninth Circle of Hell! STAY AWAY!

In my opinion - do not bring your child/teen to this facility. We were referred here by TCH. Upon arriving we decided to read the reviews and found horrible, scary ratings and made the decision against leaving our son here. I believe they were persistent in trying to keep him since we have private insurance. They then reported us to CPS! This is awful. If there were an issue with my son that required ‘CPS, ’ TCH would have contacted them.

I can’t say enough positive things about this facility. From the beginning of admission until my daughter being discharged tomorrow I’m truly grateful. April at the front desk is truly a jewel and very compassionate. The clinical staff have been very caring towards my daughter in addition to Dr. Mcfarlane, you’re an amazing provider. Thank you Westpark springs for caring for daughter.
