I do not shop here too often; yeah it can be more expensive, but you can't compromise quality!
Update: this is my go to place for those hard to find items or those that are very country specific. Amazing what you can find to make authentic foreign cuisine!

I always enjoy shopping at Whole Foods. It's very convenient to where we stay, with easy parking. The prices are decent - surprisingly good on some things! - and the staff are really helpful and pleasant. I especially love the bread and meat departments.

The store truly has a little bit of everything. The parking garage is fantastic. Selection is diverse but a little on the pricey side. The deli is amazing.

Not only did I shop here a bunch, but I also worked here for a few years. A lot has changed in the past five years with Amazon buying out WFM. But its still a great place to grab healthier food options.
Since its located downtown its hands down the most convenient place to go to for all the folks who can afford to live downtown, or to the west.

Parking is free, so pregame at the bar there and then head into the thick of what downtown Austin has to offer.

Corporate headquarters of the nation’s most appealing grocer with constant market testing and large scale selection … what’s not to like? !

Hot Food bar is always a solid option. I got 2 slices of vegan Brussel sprout pizza (which is a phenomenal deal at 7$), the vegan Sedona salad, and some Indian food. The pizza and Indian food were good, but the Sedona salad was disappointing. Overall, its very decent but v expensive!

Awesome whole foods store. So many varieties of prepared foods. Wish this was the standard in all the Whole foods stores.

I ate here on 12/18/21. It was good as usual. I had teriyaki chicken and it was real good. The store has always been clean and nice for shopping They do need to fix the men's restroom toilet doors. They do not stay locked and others walk in without knowing someone is using the toilet.

If you can’t find something you’d love to eat here, know that you are entirely too picky! I end up stopping in every time I come home to Austin.

Love the wine bar! We had a quick dinner from the hot bar and enjoyed it with a glass of wine. Why aren't all Whole Foods like this? !?

The hot bar was disappointing. I was craving pizza, and it was room-temperature and someone had had a super heavy hand on the salt. It was enough salt to be not good, but I was hungry and it wasn’t terrible, just lukewarm and salty.

Store is bright and clean.

I love Whole Foods! Especially if you’re a prime member it is totally worth it to come here compared to HEB. Their food is fresh and they have great healthy options everywhere! From organic, to vegan vegetarian and lactose! They have a huge supply of supplements, medicines, health, toiletries and soo much more! Everyone needs to shop here

Jackie in the cheese department was AMAZING! We wanted to make a charcuterie board and Jackie knocked it out of the park with her suggestions. She was extremely friendly and excited to help us out. It really made our night. Y'all go see Jackie for your cheese fix!

Worst customer experience ever. It's almost like they don't want you shopping in the store. Between the personal shoppers and the stocking it was almost impossible to get around. Who stocks the store at 4pm on a Saturday? Why are the personal shoppers so rude? Seems like they need a training course on how to be more respectful of the people who are doing their own shopping. If all that wasn't bad enough they were out of all 4 cuts of meat I was looking for. It's a bummer because we drive out of our way to come to this location so we can enjoy the rooftop park with our toddler before we shop. If it wasn't for him getting to play it would have been a waste of a trip.

Update: No improvement at all. As I live nearby I find it odd that the other grocery store which is most definitely more collegiate in style and groceries (and yes price) consistently excels in general service and attentiveness. The produce and selection are clearly superior at WH but the cashiers at WH (and yes the lack of baskets as I mentioned nearly a year ago?) continue to manifest a level of aloofness that is almost reminiscent of a inexpensive big box household items store. Not quite sure why. I don’t expect particularly stellar customer care or attentiveness, but when a high school-ish competitor nearby seems more intent on providing (and actually delivering) a better customer experience, this WH seems to take its customers for granted. Too bad.

Previous Entry:
Almost reminds me of Dean & DeLuca — particularly the impressive prep food selection. However, there’s never a basket at the entrance after 9pm and unfortunately I had to watch a cashier swap out the rubber mat she was standing on. So glad she did so after my grocery had already trundled to the end. And no, the cashier did not have gloves on and she did not spritz or use disinfectant before she merrily started zapping the groceries of the person who came after me.
