Windemere at Westover Hills, San Antonio TX

I've had 2 separate stays with windemere. I stayed 5 wks last march and 4 weeks in dec/jan. I noticed a big improvement between the 2 stays. I requested to go back to windemere a 2nd time because i was happy with my physical therapists, Fabiola and Jackie. I was happy they were still there.

The staff was very friendly. I only dropped a star because of issues we had getting xrays done before my dr.appt. I'm not exactly sure where the confusion came in, but it was more stress than i needed to deal with.

Nurse Monica took charge and fixed it. I know it was frustrating for her also. But she was awesome, took care of the problem and had me set up for my next appt.

Its clean, quiet and it never has a bad smell like some nursing facilities do.

This place may look good, But the worker are not nice! They are very good of mistreating people. I’m glad I’m not going to let any of my family to stay There! Very unfriendly unprofessional environment especially the coordinator!

Cat (the Open Wound Nurse) is a godsend. She is intelligent, knowledgeable, diligent, caring and has a wonderful bedside manner. People in the nursing profession would do well to emulate her dedication, skill and compassion.
Google will not allow me to make eight individual reviews of the individual staff members who have distinguished themselves. Thus, I am reduced to acknowledging the following employees for service above and beyond their job descriptions.
"Job well done" goes out to the following people:
Maria Rodriguez (transportation), Jimmy Gomez, Tye Cobb, Fabiola, Celina Nguyen and the head chef, who came out of his kitchen to encourage my father to eat his meals, face to face. Each of these employees deserve individual five star ratings. I would give them that, if Google would allow it. Kudos to these individuals, one and all!

Windermere is a home away from home, I was shown around the facility meeting all the staff that are caring for the patients. A very clean and well taken care of place that is very welcoming.

Wonderful staff and management! Highly recommended if you ever need them to care for your love one.

Well, let me start by stating I've been a resident at Windermere at West Over Hills for approximately three & a half years. During my stay here I must say, I've pretty much have enjoyed my time here, for the most! If there's one particular point I'd like to give &/or make, is that the staff are very helpful, friendly, & are a very hardworking group of individuals! I can't adequately or verbally describe my amount of appreciation along with my gratefulness towards the staffs endearing efforts, in making sure that my safety & personal needs are being met. Lastly, I sincerely hope, as I share this review of my stay here at Windermere at West Over Hills, that Jessica Myers who is the Administrator, who's also in charge for the smooth running of this facility, along with the excellent work staff here, is given the proper acknowledgement, of a job well done! Windemere at Westover Hills is a comfortable, very nicely designed home for recovering in rehab temporarily or for, in my case, having a safe place for my mother-in-law to live. The staff out on the floors are competent, very communicative, and friendly people. This place gets an A from us!

This facility is wonderful. It’s very clean and everyone is so friendly. Management goes above and beyond making certain that needs are being met.

I love that this facility is so clean and free from Odor. That was one of the selling points in finding the right place for my loved one. Staff is always ready and willing to help. Especially the nursing staff!

A place that provides all the help to patients, they are the priority for this institution, a clean, pleasant place with the best attention from all the staff that makes you feel at home

This place has been wonderful. The director of nurses, Lillian Ortega, has helped me navigate these difficult times. The nursing staff is very kind and knowledgeable. This has put my mind at ease having to place my loved one in a nursing home, even if for a short period of time.

Best facility to care for your loved ones. Everyone at this location were very professional and caring.

The Physical Therapists are top notch. Especially PT Celina N. She intuitively understood where my husband was in capability; and in a few weeks moved him from atrophied muscles which confineded him to bed, to sitting self up, then to stand and walk short distances with a walker. We are so happy with Windemere staff and services

I would like to thank the following individuals here in this facility Tye, Lupita Jimmy and Gloria they made my stay here so much nicer. They always were asking me if there was anything they could do for me and they would. They always left with a smile and They always left me feeling good about being here and being taken care of by this facility. Thank you to all the staff at Windemere, Westover, Hills Skilled Nursing Facility the best in SanAntonio. My husband Albert has been cared for here this time since October 12,2023. He has received excellent care from the best caring Nurses Ayo, Michael, Monica, and wounded nurse Cat.
CNA’s Veronica, Gloria, Roosevelt and Jimmy are always ready to assist with his needs. CNA Nelly has been the most loving genuine, caring CNA to him and I. When Nelly is on duty And I’m not there she cares for him, just as I would with tender, loving care.
Physical Therapist, Jackie and Occupational Therapist Mirasol are the most patient excellent therapist he has ever had, and have been instrumental in getting some of his skill functions back.
This beautiful facility Always looks great just as you would expect for a top-notch facility to be. Housekeeping staff is very good at their job. Special thanks goes to Linda that keeps my husband’s room Clean and sanitized.

This facility is run by the most caring, professional administrating staff that has the best interest of all the residence.
I Highly advise anyone that needs skill care or for their loved ones to consider Windemere, Westover, Hills and rest, assured that they will be treated with excellent professional high-quality care.
